Просмотров 3782 месяца назад
Today I am testing out the SWIFT Hockey ZT-PRO, which is a top of the line low kick offering that is only $150 USD or around $205 CAD before shipping. I took lots of different kinds of shots as well as compared it to a PRO BLACKOUT CUSTOM EXTRA LITE. swift-hockey.com/collections/main #budget #hockey #nhl #viral #viralvideo #sports #fitness #review #stanleycup #playoffs
Is This the NEW BUDGET KING? TAGGS RPG-PRO Boron Hockey Stick review (Only $185)
Просмотров 8172 месяца назад
Today we'll be testing out the Taggs hockey RPG-PRO 330g boron infused hockey stick. This is the lightest stick I've tried so far on the channel and was it ever noticeable. For their first stick release they did an excellent job, this is overall one of the best sticks I have tested. If you are looking to purchase one for yourself use code AYDENF10 for $10 off your purchase. taggshockey.com/ #ho...
I Bought a $100 Mystery Hockey Stick
Просмотров 5154 месяца назад
Today I am testing out the mystery stick option from Pro Stock Sticks, the stick cost me around $180 CAD ($100 USD) all in, I chose the big toe hook, 80-87 flex option. It is a really cool concept and definitely worth a try! Make sure to like comment and subscribe if you enjoyed the content! #hockey #viral #nhl #sports #viralvideo #budget #fitness #mystery
The Evolution of the Hockey Stick

Today I journeyed back in time to test hockey sticks across multiple eras, unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on a 2 piece stick but so be it. Do todays sticks really out perform previous generations sticks or is it just a money grab? #hockey #nhl #viral #viralvideo #review #sports #fitness

Great video
Thank you!
Thanks for getting to this one.
No worries! I felt it was about time
Great video, what is the shaft shape.? I'm a big fan of the square proto r like shaft shape.
Thanks man I appreciate it! It is very square so will be very similar to how the proto feels!
Best p28❤
The p28 is a ton of fun to use
Love the vids! On a side note, what skate blade profile are you using and what radius of hollow do you sharpen your skates to?
I have no idea what profile I use as the last time I had them profiled was about 5 years ago, but as for my sharpen I use a 5/8s
And I appreciate the kind words!
What curve were you using on the black out?
Pro81 which is the Hossa curve
Bauer 100%
Definitely can’t go wrong with Bauer, excited to see how the tracer is
p28 all the way
P92
P28 is my favorite
Lucked out. Grabbed a "used, like new" one to try out from Amazon for $43. Now we wait to see what "used, like new" actually looks like in person from Amazon haha. I figure for $43 it can't be too bad, as long as it's not destroyed.
That’s not a bad deal at all and if you end up liking it you can grab another one at hockeystickman for like $80 cad
I use Bauer x800 the only down side is there is no grip
If you’re looking to upgrade but not really break the bank I’d recommend the Stx stallion hpr2, it’s on sale right now at hockeystickman and I’m pretty sure has free shipping!
Please do a vid on how to shoot the puck higher when moving fast with the puck I can put it high when standing but not when moving
That will be included in my next video!
Lately I've been leaning towards models one step below top end.....any suggestions ?
Honestly with the prices you can find last years top end or pro stock options I can’t really recommend the models below top end
I'm going warrior alpha LX pro awesome top end stick that u can get under $200 now ...u can basically get any top end stick u want on sidelineswap for under $200
I honestly love the Lx pro, such a great stick. SidelineSwap is a great place for gear. Got a lot of my baseball gear from there actually
Coming from a slight stick junkie… CCM probably has the best shooting sticks imo. Bauer has a good combo of shooting and feel. Warrior is hit or miss. Alpha LX pro was elite(LX Pro 2 was ass). True has good feel sticks, not shooters in my opinion. My fav sticks so far have been the LX Pro, Agent, Sherwood TMP Pro, and the FT5&6. That being said, I have not tried a trigger 7 or 8.
Love the guys pfp. Out of what I’ve tried Ccm has 2 sticks in the top 5 for me. Bauer is definitely a good middle ground between the 2 especially on the nexus line. The Lx pro is probably the second best stick I’ve used so far and was a ton of fun to use. The only issue I have with true is their durability, can’t really recommend a product if it’s going to break within the first week. I really need to get my hands on that tmp pro I think I’d really like it, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it
What stick length do you usually rock?
On skates usually about my chin so that would be around 61”
Mine arrived a few weeks ago but I haven't tried it yet. However, I must say that I'm disappointed that they advertise 350 grams and mine came in at 390.
Ya I was quite disappointed that mine came in above the advertised weight by a significant amount. Seems like the quality control in that regard isn’t too great. I will say that that the stick performs very well regardless of that
Make a video in how to shoot!!! I’m sure a lot of people would like to shoot as hard as you do!!
That will be either my next video or the one after that!
@@StickTalk8 for real. you make it look so effortless
Posted it today!!
Enjoyed the video!
Glad to hear it!
Great review!
Thank you!
also, could you make a shareable google sheet which you keep updated after each of these vids? it should be easy to do, and would be a cool place for you to keep track of all these sticks and have rankings/reviews/links to the youtube vids for each stick
I plan to start working on something like that after the release of my next video!
how do you like this compared to the hockeystickman pro custom blackout
The taggs is a better performing stick and is custom for around the same price!
Nice shots! You’ve got a nice strong shot, keep up the great work!
Thank you! I really do appreciate it
P88
Not my personal favourite but a great option!
This stick compared to the stick from Pro Stock Hockey Sticks, which one do u like better?
I’ve only tried the stock option they have at hockeystickman and their mystery stick, not their top of the line mode so I can’t really speak to it but compared to the ones I’ve tried the Taggs is a better stick
@@StickTalk8 ok, thank you, and thanks for replying so fast.
No worries just glad I could help
That's my new favorite hockey stick lol.
Nice! Have you been using one or just impressed with the performance to price ratio?
Just impressed with the performance to price ratio lol.
It’s pretty insane ngl, I was genuinely surprised
@@StickTalk8 ya same, And its pretty good for a hockey brand like TAGGS.
Can you compare it to the TronX 330 gram sticks? Those are $179 and feel really good.
I’ll definitely give it a look! On their website it’s $254 for me, is there anywhere else I could pick one up?
@aydenfinn4197 bummer. They are only available through their site. I looked into the Taggs this morning. The 330 was only 139 for me, which is awesome. However, the shipping was $35 and the $10 code only took off $7.49 for me. So when all was said and done, it was about the same price as the TronX to get to my door. Still not a bad price. I may try one out.
Ah that really sucks, I guess it’s much more favourable for Canadian customers. If you end up deciding to order one let me know!
@@StickTalk8 will do!
Great content!
Thank you!
might just have to pick one up
If you’re ok with the wait time it’s definitely worth a try!
@@StickTalk8 they have some that aren’t custom.
They do yes but it will be more difficult to find exactly your specs and it’s the same price
Yo the twig seems un real! Do you know what the shaft shape is? Or if they have multiple options for shaft shape? My local store got a bunch of pro stock CCM twigs from the Vancouver Giants for about $200 but after watching this thinking about maybe grabbing one of these. Keep it up mate 👍
The shaft shape on the mid kick is very similar to the “T” shaft shape from CCM so very rectangular, I’m not sure if the shape is different on their low kick option but their customer service is incredible so if you have any questions about that kind of stuff they answer very quickly!
@@StickTalk8 Nice thanks for the reply, just dm’d them
No worries!
@@StickTalk8 also, are you rocking the p92 or p90T 😁
P90t on this one!
Great video!
Thank you!!
Now that you've tested a bunch of sticks, how does the Pro Blackout Custom Extra Lite stack up against these sticks?
Performance wise it’s right up there with the best and it’s just a super fun stick to use because of the curve options available, I liked it so much that even my dad uses them now!
lmao, i have p88 and no u dont shoot off the heal lol wtf? the puck should always come off the toe as it leaves ur blade no matter what blade ur using to put spin on the puck and get a perfectly horizontal puck in flight so it keeps its momentum and p28 and p29 have too much of a toe curve causes puck to go flying over the net, basically p29 and p28 are for weak ass kids who cant lift the puck so it helps them lol
I’m glad the p88 works for you but I’d have to say your wrong about the p92 or p28 being for weak ass kids considering over half of the nhl is currently using one of those curves or a variation of it. Ovechkin uses one of the biggest curves in the league so would he then be a weak ass kid? Respectfully a bad take on your part.
Thats gotta be so cool having all that ice to yourself, &/or with a group of pals. 😎 👍🏻
It was awesome while it lasted! They took out the ice from most of the rinks near me so have to find a new place to film!
Which Warrior that p28 stick was if you didnt like it?
It’s the qr5t, I just think that there are much better options at the same price
@@StickTalk8 Have you tested LX2 Pro? Thinking of buying that.
I haven’t tried the lx2 pro yet but I’ve tried the lxpro and really liked it and it’s on sale for 179 right now
Yo whats the flex of ur stick ?
This one is 85
i got a 70 flex p28 with the white spray painted blade. love mine.
It’s such a great deal
Nice vid, ur shots a rocket lol
Thanks, I try my best lol
Great video!
Thank you!
Sweet Vid
Thank you!
Can you make a review on the p90tm
I’ll do one comparing it to both the p92 and the p28!
next stick episode you should review and tryout either the Bauer Vapor Shift Pro or The True Catalyst 3x3
I was looking into them but there are much better options at that price point, especially some pro stock options!
Nice video
Thank you!
88 is life. So balanced, can do everything very well. May not excel in any specific area but provides lots of tools in the box for sure. I've struggled with the newer patterns hitting the net. Missiles, but off the glass constantly😅
That’s how I feel using the p92, it really depends on the first few sticks you use when you start playing for sure. The bigger toe hooks that are coming out now definitely take a little while to get used to
I was a big p88 guy until I tried the p90tm, that's my new favorite
I tried the p90tm recently and I loved it, definitely a great retail option
Seriously considering picking up a few of these, coming from the “pro” custom curve blackouts how to you find they compare judging solely on puck feel and shot release/power? Appreciate your input!
I’m on the ice tomorrow so I’ll test them out and get back to you!
Awesome! Excited to hear your thoughts
I just got off the ice and I prefer the puck feel with the Stx but the shooting is significantly better with the pro stock sticks blackout so if you like shooting more I’d go with that option
Love this stick
It’s such a great value stick, getting a ton for the price
LXPro or RE1?
Probably the lxpro
Love the eras tour video!
I’m glad you liked it!
