Yeah, thats the kind of reverb we use live, thing about releasing tracks these days is we have to make it sound good on a phone, and that spoils the tune for me, because its got no bass, and I want it to sound like it does live, so this time, I pushed for a sound as close to live as we can. I like it tbh, I have a feeling we will be doing it like that in future. Already have another track ready to go.

@@HarleyRider05 We're going all "Blackberry smoke" style on the next one, it sounds interesting, its got a bluesy back beat to it, thats got serious swagger, just some tasty guitar licks left to do and its finished.

Hahah well I just had to put a GTO on there, when discussing the vid we figured its an old school tune so it needed some old school stuff, Problem is a lot of the best stuff from the 70s wouldn't be allowed by todays lot, so this left us with just the muscle cars, and the GTO is one of the all time greats, I wanted the "cuda " in there as well, but they wouldnt have it, I snuck the Maverick in at the start when nobody was looking ! Glad you like the tune, its real fun live.

Its always fascinated me how a basic bluesy riff can sometimes set a real cool groove with an attitude all of its own ! the song wrote itself, soon as I played the opening lick, I heard the whole tune, the production took me a minute though, the sound I had in my head was hard to get right as it was full of mids. If you play the riff at the start and compare it to the riff at the end, its the same riff, only at the end we fill in all the ghost notes too, so it just sounds heavier. That was an aye opener for me !

Thank you, we are all bikers too, Im a graphic designer and Davids style was all over my wall growing up, the songs with those images are part of a concept story, we will eventually perform a show with that slide show, kind of like a pink floyd southern rock show !

@@southernoutlawsireland I look at a set list as merely a guide to how the night could go. But this is in knowing you’ve got to play to the crowd. The crowd will tell you where to go, because it’s basically a big party and they’re there to party with you.

@@PhunkyMunky10 100% first job is to entertain, you learn that the moment a half atsed player gets a bigger applause than you ! Second job is to have the songs, great playing is third and means nothing without the other two !

@@southernoutlawsireland I’ve watched mediocre players slay their audiences due to their attitude and the energy they put into it. So what if you keep hitting the wrong chords, just be confident and get the crowd going and it won’t matter. Song selection is part of it too I think. But when things are flowing, that set list can go out the window so it pays to know a lot of songs lol.

@@southernoutlawsireland First time I played in public I choked. Halfway into Freebird and forgot the lyrics. It was nerves. Ended up running off stage at first but when I came back up I just made a joke about having to piss. lol The joke fell a little flat but we were up and running again. It was then that I realized that if I had been quick thinking enough I could have made some shit up and it woulda been fine because everyone was too drunk to care anyway

Ah, Lots more on the way, we are making two albums at the same time this year, the ones with the videos like this one here are part of a concept album, they add up to a full story. The idea is to perform it live, kind of like a Pink Floyd Show only its Southern Rock with Irish trad elements. The other songs like, "The price you pay" or "Standing in the shadows" are part of a separate stand alone album. Its all 70s style rock, SKynyrd meets Thin Lizzy meets Rory Gallagher. We are 8 songs into it already. We uploaded all the demos before Christmas ( 270 of them ) and people chose the songs they liked best. Anyways, now you are caught up, Enjoy, its proper beer swiggin' music.

Thanks lad, I really enjoyed this one, haven't done that kind of rock in too long.

It is a fairly clean tone and still manages to do the durty riffs ! I have the cry baby pedal turned on and rolled forward a little, into a valve amp on the crunch channel using a strat with texas specials, just a little fuzz added after as well.
