There is a chip in the casing that wasn't put in the new one? Correct?

I wish that the "hilt" of the blade fit as neatly into the black plaster holder, my shell snapped together as neatly as that. I've spent a lot of time trying the hilt at different angles, scraped off some plastic, and it doesnt fit well. Nor does the shell snap together like that. The Mf actually recommend hitting it with a hammer which helped a bit. The blade doesnt fit firmly. And that was with a replacement 4 button case sent me when I complained. Maybe a three button shell , which I have, would fit more firmly. Screw holes of the plastic and key don't line up well either. I'm using string and scotch tape..

For anyone that might be struggling to clip the key fob together try standing on its head (opposite end of the key) apply some force downwards and get the top together first then work your way up clipping it together.

Great video! Mine came without the Honda sticker for the back. All you got to do is stick a blade under the old one and it will come right off. It’s attached with some adhesive. On another note it don’t always clicks together that easy. you mite have to fight it a little and slide it into place. I had to cut some material off mine but very little.

This will not work unless you put the chip from the old key in the new FOB

This is literally what happened to my key this week. Also ready to shell out $200+ until an Amazon link for this kit came up in a Google search. $8. I can only hope I don’t drop that screw!

I have 2009 civic , jacked up key fob, key embedded . Dealer wants 130 for valet key and 230 for key with buttons . It's bs.

Lol tell me why the second the video started and I seen the key I was like how the hell does he key look exactly like mine I just happened to use electrical tape as well to hold mine together it’s been that way for about a year and half now. I just got the lean paid off at the dealership so I got the spare key but it doesn’t have a fob and my key hole for my door is jammed so they key is useless unless I can figure out how to remove it from the holder so I can put it in a case like In the video I am just not sure if since the chip is at the end of the key toward the tip if I would have to still have the remote programmed to my car before being able to use it

You're lying in this video.... Show that there is a RF chip on the side of the Key Fob that is needed to be transferred as well in order for the key to fully turn on. WHY HALF ASS, DO IT RIGHT 1000% THE 1ST TIME.

Need some help. I have a 2012 Honda Civic. The plastic housing broke and I ordered a new one, but I don't know if I had a chip that sits on the inside of the plastic housing? It doesn't look like there's even space for one, but the housing broke in the car so I'm worried I dropped the chip if I had one. The FOB is in perfect condition.
