The last part of the camino (Frances) to the coast at Finisterre, with rather typically mixed Galician weather.

This video covers the walk between Ponferrada and Portomarin, taking the alternative routes out of Villafranca del Bierzo, and Tricastella. This is as filmed footage while walking intending to give a good feel as to what it’s like to walk the Camino ( Frances).

This follows the alternative routes from Leon to Hospital de Orbigo via Villar de Mazarife, and on to Astorga avoiding walking next to the main highway, then up and over the hills to the highest point of the camino at Cruz Ferro (1490 metres), then down through Molinaseca to Ponferrada.

Castrojeriz to Leon, walking days 12-15 (140km) Early morning start to walk c.35km/day in usually hot May weather. Across the Meseta passing through Boadilla, Fromista, Carrion, Sahagun, and the alternative Roman Road route to Mansilla and through Leon.

This video starts from the boundary of La Rioja and Castilla y Leon, to just beyond Castrojeriz in the Meseta and takes the alternative and highly recommended shady riverside walk into the centre of Burgos. It is filmed handheld with an iPhone on the move to give a good impression of what is actually like doing the walking.

The first 10 days of walking in 4 minutes, across a foggy Pyrenees, through Pamplona, up to the AltoAlto de Perdon, through Puente la Reina, onto Irache, Los Arco, Viana, through Logrono, and then onto Najera, and through Santo Domingo to the boundary with Castilla y Leon.
