    Is there a difference between reported taxes via a 1099-K that was sent to the IRS from something like an online e-commerce website and unfiled taxes? In other words: the IRS has already been notified of how much you made on an online platform, such as eBay. I heard that of you don't file taxes for that 1099k, they will process and file it for you without any deductions that you could have taken advantage of had you filed with a tax specialist..

    The problem is after a certain amount that you owe them regardless, you can settle on a payment plan or for less, but with those agreements, they will put a lien on your property another statutory savings. It’s best to work with them and try to make the payments without the IRS going forward and even reporting it to the credit bureau. It’s a tricky situation. Damn if you Do and Fam if you don’t.

    • @bye-byebacktaxes4987

      @@JB-iw3ui did you know that if you get a payment agreement under 50,000 and you have a direct debit from your bank account for the payment every month, they will not file a notice of federal tax lien ?

    • @JB-iw3ui
      @JB-iw3ui 10 дней назад

      @@bye-byebacktaxes4987 You’re absolutely correct . If it’s over $50,000 regardless of any payments after that or an agreement they will still put a lean on your property and assets for collateral until it’s paid off. And even if you were able to get a reduction through the IRS forgiveness and low payment, they will still put a lien on your assets and property to make sure that it gets paid off. But there are limitations on that bracket I believe it’s 100,000 for a single and 200,000 for married couple.

    If you are a w-2, you've signed away your 5th amendment rights. If you are a 1099, then look up Joe Banister. Hes an ex IRS agent. Taxes can only be levied on corporations. The IRS is in violation of the supreme court.l levying taxes against individuals. Jim, you need to look into the tax code. Its not legal and the 16th amendment as the supreme court has ruled over and over again has not granted our government any extra powers. Its pure fraud.

    • @prof5string
      @prof5string 4 дня назад

      Wow, all these crackpot claims crammed into one post. Banister's CPA license was revoked because he gave bogus tax-protester advice to his clients. He's has multiple judgments rendered against him for back taxes, penalties, and interest, including one in which the penalties and interest exceeded the back taxed owing. You have to be pretty stupid to achieve that result, but Banister managed to do it. The claim that taxes can be levied only only on corporations is the moronic claim that got Irwin Schiff three convictions. It has no basis in the law.\\ Taxes have been levied against individuals since the founding of the country,, and the Supreme Court has never said they couldn't be. I suggest you look up the Whiskey Tax and Carriage Tax passed in 1791 and 1794. Congress has always had the power to enact income taxes. It's apparent you've never bothered to read the Constitution, Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 of which explicitly gives it the power of taxation. The Constitution imposes only three restriction on this power: direct taxes (other than income taxes) must be apportioned; all other taxes must be geographically uniform throughout the united States; and Congress can't tax exports from the States. "“The Sixteenth Amendment declares that Congress shall have power to levy and collect taxes on income, ‘from whatever source derived’ without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration. It was not the purpose or the effect of that amendment to bring any new subject within the taxing power. Congress already had the power to tax all incomes. But taxes on incomes from some sources had been held to be ‘direct taxes’ within the meaning of the constitutional requirement as to apportionment. [cites omitted] The Amendment relieved from that requirement and obliterated the distinction in that respect between taxes on income that are direct taxes and those that are not, and so put on the same basis all incomes ‘from whatever source derived.’” Bowers, Collector v. Kerbaugh-Empire Co., 271 U.S. 170, 173-174 (1926).

    Hi, i currently owe 12K total in back taxes(2022 and 2023). I've been on an installment plan for years, paying off per year about a year of back taxes. I'm just about to start on the 2022 taxes. So in about a year I'll have it paid off but I'll owe for 2023 and 2024. This cycle has repeated for the last seven or eight years. Each year I file and it just seems to roll into my continuous installment plan. Problem is I'm having very little federal taxes taken out of my current checks, so by the time I file around April every year i owe around 6,000 which for several years just goes on to the installment plan. I guess I've gotten lucky the IRS pretty much leaves me alone except for every now and then I'll get some kind of letter like you mentioned in the video. At that point I usually call the IRS and discuss the letter and they confirm that I'm making installment payments and to disregard the letter. I tell you it's still hard to sleep good at night when you thinking about the ways the IRS could suddenly ruin your life I doing things like garnishing your wages or emptying your bank account. There's that fear that even though they say disregard the letter that that just might be one of their agents saying that just so they can get off the phone and deal with other matters. I thought about the offering compromise and nearly did it until I listened to Dave Ramsey. I really enjoy your videos so any advice would sure be great. I've also been thinking about maybe sending a separate payment for an estimated tax payment to go towards the current year, that way I'm not hit so hard.

      If you’re on an installment plan, the IRS is not gonna levy your bank account or paycheck. The question is do you qualify for an offer in Compromise. Get the answer to that question. If you do pursue it. If you don’t then there are other options

I'm not a business owner but I thought about also making monthly payments towards estimated taxes and not just the installment plan back taxes. That way I can get a handle on current taxes. What's your thoughts on that?

    Very interesting, I've been on an installment plan for years and they never have really said much about me paying current taxes on a quarterly basis or anything, when I file every year I always owe a few thousand dollars for that year and they just tack it on to my installment plan, I pay several hundred dollars per month towards back taxes, each year I end up being able to pay off just one of the previous years taxes. I'm just a couple of years behind but I hate it. I talked to a tax attorney who charges $1,500 to do the order of compromise for me but it's not guaranteed the IRS will approve it so I don't know if I want to risk that 1,500, times are tough as it is. I'm thinking about getting more federal tax withheld out of my checks so I'll owe less for each current year when it's time to file taxes. As of today I owe 12K back taxes total for years 2022 and 2023. Any advice would sure be appreciated, thank you sir.

      @bye-byebacktaxes4987 2 месяца назад

      1500 is a bargain to submit an OIC. In fact it’s a signal the attorney may not have experience and expertise to get it done. Up your withholdings, increase monthly payments or get an OIC. Sounds like you’re treading water just paying the IRS interest under your current way of doing things

      I am accepting new clients, yes. How much does the IRS claim that you owe? Do you have any years of unfiled returns? Email me at jim@anchortaxrelief.com

    I owe $300,000 for back taxes years ago, and deemed uncollectable. I personally cannot pay my $4,000 due in April. I technically could, but at 50 years old I am exhausted. Worling for filthy H1 B1 Sweatshop engineers 60 hours a week...I have given up. Jail me !

      Well, first of all I don’t work for the IRS so I can’t put you in jail Second of all, if you technically could pay taxes, but you can’t because you’re exhausted, well, I don’t know what to say next But Thanks for checking in
