Really he did ? I cant believe it..are your sources reliable ?.it would be such.a deep and sad disillusion
Wow!Hi My Friend!👍♥️👍Great!
Sûrement un syndrome d’asperger 😊
Exquisitely beautiful Mozart. As for the encore, I think Kissin makes it a much better piece than it is.
Some players make every note dotted, but Kissin gets a related effect by articulation and shading.
You play so well, mr. Kissin. I wish I could play like you.
Too many ADs in this performance; horrid interruption!
This is the finest recording of Norma! I am blown away! It is much better than his own recording with Decca! What pianist and musician!!!!! I am in awe!
Ah , enfin TRAZOM est de retour...!
What an orchestra! Kissin gave a beautiful performance
Some great Scriabin vibe
Another beautiful performance by Kissin. This is indeed as it should be. Refined, about the music and no speeding through the third movement as the modern clones tend to do. At Julliard, during the internal competition with this work, everyone sped though the third movement as if it were marked Presto and written by Liszt. A member of the faculty that was known as Mr. Metronome at the time to the students, asked what happened as I chose a tempo similar to what you hear above. I remember remarking back that it is as I felt it should be in good taste. I remember hearing the RCA recording of Rubinstein with a similar tempo and grace but one need not be vindicated in such cases. The music demands time to be heard and felt at any given tempo. When it is not about that any longer, it is too fast.
That voicing is so clear and sustained, wow ❤
i prefer pogorelich version (that one with liszt sonata)
Wow! You have lots of Kissin on your channel ! Thank you! Subscribed!

Too mechanical. Typical Kissin playing as usual.
I enjoy the performance of breathtaking virtuosity.thanks.

I really did not expect MY FAVORITE pianist to have a massive lisp😭
Mariam Batsashvili is by far the worldwide No. 1 in Liszt-Interpretation.

El adagio... No hay palabras! ❤
I like my Mozart crisp and bright, with fast tempi. I don't like these sorts of people who play his concerti uniformly mezzo-forte and moderato (at uniformly Medium Volume and Medium Speed); it is most boring! Sadly, I am always mercilessly flamed if I criticize a performance, but people need to carefully listen to a lot of different performances of the same work, in order to develop an appreciation of what is, and what is not, a good interpretation.
You don't think the playing is crisp and bright?
@@skzion2It sounds pretty quiet and sedate to me. But there are many different views on Mozart interpretation. I always get flamed if I criticize an interpretation in any way, as people seem to take it personally if I disagree with their view of a performance. However, the reality is that there is more than one way to play a piece, and we don't all like it played the same way. I prefer my Mozart extremely fast, with strong contrasts in dynamics, and very playful. I think Mozart was, by personality, a jolly jokey prankster, so I think that to play it hushed and quietly and "with false reverence" is not the right way to play it. But others may disagree.
@@robertlang5331 I don't take such things personally. I'm even somewhat sympathetic to your take on Mozart. That said, there are wonderful slow movements that have nothing to do with pranks--and I think you may be too influenced by Amadeus in your characterization of Mozart. What Kissin offers to me is a spellbinding articulation of every note, and the relationship between notes, and the space between them. What he doesn't do is just plod on, or try to gain excitement by sheer speed (which he could very easily do). Anyway, nice discussion.
Eugenio is a gift to the world, he is one of the reason I am grateful to live in these days.
Watch Noah ( the concertmaster) enjoying the Soloparts and you know HOW divine Kissins playing is.

❤❤❤❤❤
I am preparing this piece for a local performing arts festival and have been playing along this video almost every day. As you can imagine, I have listened to a lot of different pianists performing this piece, but Kissin's interpretation seems the most loyal to Mozart's work. First, the speed: he doesn't play it too fast like other pianists. I can hear every note and follow the musical story. It's as if he doesn't need to show off his skills with high speed. Second, his balance with the orchestra. He plays with the orchestra instead of the orchestra accompanying him. There are 2 parts in the first movement where the soloist accompanies the orchestra that plays the melody, and he respects that. Other pianists play those parts loudly as if they are playing the melody. What I love about Kissin, in general, is his humility and musical faithfulness to the pieces and the composers who wrote them.
Fantástico!
Concert exceptionnel !
One of my leaving cert students played this in her practical exam last month on a digital piano. She is 18 years old and from Poland and her talent for this Liszt piece was amazing. But here Kissin is playing a grand piano, so the grand piano sounds a lot more rich and powerful than a digital piano. The problem about digital pianos is that the timbre doesn’t actually match the lightness and even the powerful emphasis on acoustic pianos like the grand piano. But of course, she did amazingly well, so next time, I hope she would try this piece on a grand piano, but she’s just started grade 8 though. This piano player here has a huge master of theory, so unfortunately at the moment, this student from Poland, she wouldn’t yet be at that level like Kissin, but let’s not make a comparison because she has a different piano journey than Kissin. Competitions are typically in sport, not music. Music is rather seen as expressive and conveying emotions rather than skill and showboating
He is truly amazing even just by looking at him he is a professional!❤🎉

musica per la musica😮
good play for a most pianist kissin a well🎉🎉🎉from Satanic mary
I rather doubt this is actually Liszt's piano. I supposedly played on Tchaikovsky's own one. I also doubt that.
Sounds like a clone of all the others. Slightly slower tempo but who really cares. Not really musicians but technicians. They've learnt how to shape phrases etc Over the years. I'm a pianist but make original music
Huh?!
Can you see that meanwhile his playing he is studying the instrument? Superior talent!
Perfect tempo. Usually mozart gets tempo butched. He is a singing composer and the essance of his "singing" goes lost if it is too fast.
This is one of my "concert pieces" that I can pull out of the hat, maybe not quite to the Evgency Kissin level however. I learnt this on a Bechstein with my piano teacher, the voicing is so different from the Steinway sound. I'm lucky enough to enjoy an Erard grand piano of the same era, which Lizst also played (and often destroyed). I wish more people would appreciate the many different styles of piano.
This is why I love him so much
