Nothing makes an Englishman more proud than a well made longbow.
What is he doing with the steelbows in the truck?
Lucky Japan was so far away, the samurai long bow and swords would have made easy work of henry and his merry men.
Incredible….a true Artisan at work 👏
What are the comparative advantages using half a small diameter pole versus a stave out of a grater diameter log? Which is more traditional? Your product was very good, so I am asking to perfect my own understanding rather than to criticize. hanks for a great video.
Sending Positive Energy Your Way - Westport
I thought the English long bow was made from yew
Traditional English Longbows were made from the wood of the yew tree Taxus Baccata which does not grow in Australia. Yes you made a bow but only in the style of a Traditional English longbow but nothing like the real thing. Have a look at some of the bow staves recovered from the Mary Rose and you will see the difference.
That dosent look like yew? Am i missing smthing?
I thought that as well
Very nicely done! Yew?
A man asks Old man what do you do? I've been making wooden ladles for 70 years. Do you know that machines make them of plastic and they cost 100 yen? Dam... I've wasted my life away for nothing...
bloody clickbait👎👎
Homey is first pick for my apocalypse all-star team.
Lol this guy needs to watch the video of the 79 year old man who goes out into the woods and cuts down a tree and drags home and makes a rocking chair out of it with an axe, a draw knife, and a whittling knife......
That's some old school woodworking! Well done.
Out of curiosity, what horn is used / preferred? It looked like a goat's horn to me. 🤔
What kind of wood is that?
what about a traditional yew longbow?
Анекдот. - Кто же сидя дрова рубит! - пробовал лёжа, не получается.
Love the old craftsman art but holy moly what a waste of wood to carve on ladle. Who can affiord such work? Must be insane expensive
Commentary please
hot damn thats beautiful!! Love to see him fight a 5lb carp.
❤❤❤
The process is missing a lot
Great work and process here. Love the effort and detail. But what pound/draw weight in the end was the bow? Looked like about 45lbs on the tiller?
If that was an indian craftsmen nobody would be impressed of that spoon
Those are the Kings Trees Mate,,,,lol
I love to see old world Artists creat beautiful items, and done with hand tools and no sandpaper. Can you tell me what type od wood ge used in this example. Thank You!
Cracking when pressing it. ymm guy has nice tools, but has no idea how to make good chair.
I heard that you’re supposed to age the wood stave before making it into a bow, is this true?
I’m polish and I make my own bow , the Tatamovich 9000 super Kurva , I using secret formula of skin of polish sausage, it make this one look like toy , I can hit target from 600km away , I’m fully qualified engineer, scientist, and have degree in physics, electronics, nuclear engineering , but here in Uk I work In Sausage packaging factory, I’m best bow designer in world, like betman, I’m wasted in this country.
curious if bambo rods can compete with modern carbon-composit materials.
Your products and workmanship are great, the video is attractive to viewers. congratulations
I misread this as wooden ladies and was incredibly confused for a moment
What operation are you performing about 9:30 minutes into the video when running a roller around the wheel between the tire and rim. Are you attempting to seat the tire into the rim?
What type of tree did you use ?
Where's your shoes?
❤
so is it ok to go out and nick branches like that
I like the way you have made you tools and the design on how you have your device's to hold the wooden spoon as you work. Your hands are very strong and are like a surgeon. But I couldn't sit on the floor like that. I wish young people would wake up and work with there hands. God Almighty gave you a talent.😊🎉❤ S.AFRICA
This is incredible. I've made a few hewn ladles after ruining quite a few. I turn them on a lathe now it is so much easier.
It is a good try but not how it was done missing a few steps as well as a big piece of the process
I haven't watched a bow-making video since I watched the late great Chris Boyton. Such an amazing process from start to finish.
Mate! What a great job ❤ from Australia 🇦🇺
I Love Jonna Napire 💚💜❤️ JUNE 4, 2024
