Hey I made a video Viewer Kit (a zip file, contains my sources, some graphics from the video, and some bonus content!) drive.google.com/file/d/1NoDihkHS2v8mYCu1qrrF0W73F3xK-di9/view?usp=sharing How is my mic simultaneously peaking and also inaudible I have no affiliation to Metanet Software other than thinking they are cool.
I figured out why I like Furi so much...

A montage of clips over the years from our discord server. Something messed up with the compression so sorry, it's still watchable tho. I'm not re-rendering that took forever.

animated my friends talking, had to sync up some things to the ingame sound effects. thats supposed to be a door on the floor, but it might be the "bussy confuser" they're refering to...
damn those credits went hard
I love your style. Hope the video picks up steam. EDIT: also dig that you titled that thing "viewer kit". Like your energy.
Glad to hear some praise for the soundtrack, never heard anyone mention it but I honestly really like it. I vaguely remember going to pwnee's website about a year ago and it was full of porn ad's or something lol. The domain seems to have been registered to GoDaddy since 2009 and pwnee studios probably stopped renting it several years ago.
Most of the things you showed were fan made games. They're good yes but we're not "eating good" the last mainline game was 7 years ago. This is just copium.
What? I'm sorry but megaman is getting neglected by capcom
I played the original flash n back in middle school and managed to get some top 10 runs and even short term world records, discovery of triple and quadruple bounces off of bounce blocks, it was such a good time in my life
As someone who has recently finished playing this game extensively, this is a fantastic analysis of Cloudberry Kingdom. People have said it already, but Chapter 7, and levels 319 & 320 in particular, have notoriety in challenge communities for their immense difficulty. I’m sure that is something you can mention in a future video if you ever decide to do one on the gaming challenge scene. I think your thoughts on the story, soundtrack, and gameplay all resonated well with mine. I was particularly fascinated by how well they made the procedurally generated levels in this game flow. It takes a lot of work to shape something so unpredictable and variable into something tangible and fun to play through. I agree with your analysis in the sense that it encourages split second decisions and on-the-go reactions during levels, especially in arcade mode, as most levels are built around the idea of continuously moving forward. I’m quite surprised you were able to find out about this game and give it such a well edited, fantastic, in depth evaluation. Great stuff, man!
neat
Super cool video! Would have liked to see at least a mention of chapter 7 (levels 241-320) as it represents probably the most iconic aspect of this game, certainly at least from the perspective of challenge hunters. Steam is still technically the most reliable way of accessing the game since steam keys are still available on third party sites, although it can be quite expensive. Beyond that, there is an executable for the game that gets shared around from time to time for those who still want to play it. And while the game may seem dead, there are communities who focus on high end video game challenges, and this game in particular is quite well known within them.
Appreciated some of the background that I wasn't aware of! I did find it interesting though that you talked about most of the content that, for the limited people that know of the game, the game is not really well-known for. The final chapter of the story, and the infamous levels 319/320, are (unfortunately, imo) iconic in the various 'challenging games' communities.
I didn't even realize the spike in difficulty but I just checked back in my footage and it's certainly there. I wish I would've brought attention to that, thanks for pointing it out
Great coverage of this game. I played a ton of Cloudberry Kingdom in school. Few games had me hitting that gaming flow state - you were dead on that the soundtrack pulls you in to a perfect trance for weaving through each level.
I played the everloving christ out of the demo when I was in school, so glad people also have that feeling for this game
Unfortunately my Wii U external drive gave up just after the eshop was closed. Cloudberry was on it so that was my last official way to play the game. Yo-ho-ho.
It is currently the only way to get the game, I see no issue with it. Wish I could've made sure Pwnee got my money for the game but that ball is in their court now
congratulations on making cool shit
the n+ demo was my bread and butter in elementary school
I'd just like to say, as someone who hasn't thought about N since middle school, thank you. Time to rediscover a childhood favourite.
Imma put some lotion in my soul food after watching this. + I knew a girl who pronounced "vegetable" as: vestibule.... Food for thought. Or a carrot for your ear.
this notification was very funny and confusing out of context, thank you
The video made me laugh, so I wanted to return the favor.@@skippy7552
a classic. thanks for bringing attention to it. games made for the joy of how they feel should be more commonly appreciated
I remember playing the original flash game as a kid (everyone in school did back then) and I've only just heard about these two sequel games today.

@@skippy7552 thanks a lot
1:55 that is just the definition of a field in abstract algebra. It could either be a joke on filling the text field with the definition of a field, or a joke response to the question of “what is your field of expertise?”. In any case, it’s a nerdy field joke.
I honestly miss my xbox 360. There were so many good games.
Whats the name of the song that starts on 1:35?
Ultrasyd - Laying Down Some Patterns
@@skippy7552 thank you, i now see it on the corner of the video
about 1:54 if you have a set of elements S that has two commutative binary operations, that is: a op b = b op a and whenever you apply the operations in S you still have elements in S, that is: if a,b in S then (a op b) in S then you can prove some properties lets use S as the real numbers and the operations of + as the addition and * as the multiplication to show those properties: - identity element: for + is 0 (a+0 = a), for * is 1 (a*1 = a) - distributive: a*(b+c) = a*b + b*c and a+(b*c) = (a+b)*(a+c) - For every element a in S there is another element that when combined with one operation makes the identity of the other operation: a-(a-1) =1 (identity of *) and a*0 = 0 (identity of +) This works for any set S closed under any two binary commutative operations (+,x), you can transform any element of S in the identity of one operator using the other operator
N+ was a staple of my childhood. Loved N++ but never really got back into it. Easily one of the most beautiful looking games I've ever laid eyes on though (can we please bring back vector art???) Great video!
Happy to see someone giving this gem some love! N the Flash game, and the classic Metanet tutorials, taught me trigonometry and the SAT. I'm forever thankful to the devs.
I think I just found my new game to spend days playing.
N+ was one of my favorite games growing up, great video :)
1:55 I believe that is the definition of boolean algebra. I love math (majoring in it) so it was great to get to read and understand that, though harder without the quantifier symbols ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Unbelievable. I played so much N when I was younger and was so bad at it. I had no idea there were sequels. Tonight I tried to boot up my high school desktop for the first in seventeen years and then this video - about a game I played incessantly in high school - comes up on my recommendeds. Great video, great game.
oh my god i loved N
This was freeware that came with my 360 when I got it over a decade ago, been on the drive all this time bit somehow never played. Thank you so much for making me correct that mistake
Fond memories of playing N and N+ many, many years ago which came back when I saw the thumbnail to this video. Had no idea there was an N++. Great video.
What an *incredibly produced* video.
MONSTER ARENA MENTIONED LETS GOOOOOO
I just bought this game on xbox sale. I already played 3 hours, gosh
Bought a copy the moment I finished your video <3 I’ve had a cold for the last couple of days, so I’m excited to now have N++ to pass these sickly times. I hope you know you’ve made a wonderful video!!!
It's the game i played im childhood ! On Zebest 3000. INSANE
incredible video, awesome pacing, incredible editing, so sick!
grats on 150k views. great mini-doc on a very underappreciated game
Almost 5,000 levels is insane; that's so many. The only other game I can think of that has a comparable number of rooms is maybe the Binding of Isaac, but I couldn't find any up-to-date information on exactly how many rooms that game has.
damn this game is old asf remember this from 2005
It will be old enough to drink next year
Coo game. reminds me of rainworld...
Glad to see one of my favorite games from my childhood is getting some mainstream appeal.
I LOVED this game, it was a staple in my HS experience I use to either half ass or skip my class work in computer lab to play it, sneaking off to the sites that hosted it while the teacher was occupied or not watching, switch back to the lesson when they would such nostalgia!
Whats the game at 0:44? Right after vvvvvv and before Osu!
Endeavor, its a flash game
