I have the same bike with the same fork. 100% 2008 Mine is completely original. The Mavic rims are original and it came with Magura Louise hydraulic brakes. Mine hasn’t been used in a long time but is in excellent completely original condition.

I've seen different variants of the Rocky Ridge in black with different group sets. My 97 came with XT/LX, but this 98 came with lower STX/Avid gear. I've not seen a 1998 catalogue, only the 97 and 99, so I can only assume the 97 frame was built with lower spec components to sell off, rather than repaint the frame left in stock.

Hi , need your advice , Really like your channel , I want to change the forks on my Kona Lava Dome 1993. I want to change to forks with front pannier Frame 'holes' , currently I have the standard straight rigid gary fisher forks , the black ones . what should I be looking for on Ebay

Gorgeous bike, such clean lines and I love the colour. I remember chatting bikes on the phone (landline!) to my mate when we were teenagers, and his mum overheard him say 'silver nipples' and then I heard him having to explain himself 😅

Needs a Race Face Turbine LP chainset and XTR 8 speed. Love the Segmented forks and Ritchey dropouts. Decent frame.

That steeeeeem! I got a few old 150mm Tiogas in the parts bin😅 The XT rear derailleur might just need a good cleaning. I restored my Shimano 600 derailleur to crisp shifting doing that. I originally thought spring was sacked but it was fine after cleaning.

Wow, i like the old 90' stuff. At the moment some 700c early crossbikes arrrived in my collection, like the alpinestars xross, stevens 7.6.2 and stevens 6.6.6.2. KHS are rare in germany, the Specialized rockhopper is pretty cool. I gott one of the year 2000 i gess. And one frame with fork with the Natrium frame 😊 Really amazing what really cool bikes for sale in England.😊👍 Greetings from germany

Always wanted a P7, especially with those forks. I'm afraid to say that you'll have to strip the XT rear completely. But it will come up like new. That's a lovely old Rockhopper too. Looking forward to the build. 👍

Not nesseccarily, my 95 Kona "Hei Hei" is going to run old school "Zokes' which maybe weigh more but performance wise are worlds above the "Cool" factor of running a Rock Shox...the only Rock Shox I would run on my Kona would be the "Mag 21 Ti" which I might do instead....what bike is yours?....Don't get me wrong, been revisiting my mountain bike roots for the last 3-4 years and have bikes that were only a pipe dream in the early mid 90's but, still find myself learning about what was trick for those bikes as those components were for the most part such as the bikes a pipe dream

Later arch for 'v' brakes too... Do the legs need pushing up further into the crown though?
