wow, what a response. “it still has merit because you can look at the exotic class item and know bullshittery is afoot.” yea, that totally lets me know which two exotic perks the enemy happens, bullshittery. knowing they have an exotic class item on is one thing, but knowing what exactly is on it is another. and “you know what sublass theyre running” you do realize prismatics all subclasses combined, right? theres a multitude of combinations the person can be using, just knowing that its prismatic doesnt make people magically know what grenade, aspect, fragment. melee, etc. is being used plus, i said pve only? so why are you trying to make it seem like im advocating for it in pvp? literally wouldnt effect pvp. i only put that in the description for people like you that are against it, hoping they will read it and be like “oh, this guys just talking about pvp!” but i guess not 💀

@@UltrimateGaming it still lets you know that you're looking at a non-standard piece of armor. Even in PvE it's important to be able to recognize what your teammates are wearing at a glance. I'm not about to be digging through your loadout before every single mission we run or every GM, I expect you to bring your shit prepared and I should be able to just glance at YOU and MAYBE ask "what heavy you got on". That's IT. I'm also 100% against it because you know how this fanbase is. You give them this, they think they've won, and then it's EVERY exotic. Weapons AND armor. It's asinine. They bitched because they wanted a "world that responded to their efforts", and then refused to put in any effort to get Rasputin to take down the Almighty. I think it would've been hilarious if Bungie held firm and decided that if the fanbase wasn't going to do the Seraph Towers, they were just gonna nuke the Last City and turn it into evacuation missions. But no, Bungie caved and immediately people ended up thinking they'd won. So then they ruined Niobe Labs. And they ruined Spire of Stars because it was "too hard". Just like they ruined Prison of Elders because IT was "too hard". Just like they ruined GMs because the time limit only affected your ability to revive. It doesn't stop with just this, and you know it. It's also a horrible idea for visual cohesion, something that I'm ASSUMING you have no understanding of, due to your petulance regarding being called out for not realizing what you're advocating for.

@@CrunchBar-qe5fw whos to say that there wouldnt be a visual indicator in the inspect menu? im sure bungie could come up with something seamless and easy to understand. maybe a different color box in the inspect menu? a glow? who knows, theres things they could do. its not impossible. and man, i dont know how to say this nicely but this middle section seems like a venting/meltdown session. youre doing an awful lot of assuming on how the community would react, and things about the game you were not happy with. 💀 “it doesnt stop with this” ok? isnt it awesome to want more cool stuff in a game we love? youre saying it in such a negative tone, it shouldnt stop here. destiny should continue to grow and be supported and built upon its a fantastic game with so much more potential. do people take it too far at times and demand unreasonable things? or too much? 100%. is my request here unreasonable? i firmly believe its valid i, and many others, just want to have our characters look as cool as they can be with less limitations. its that simple. “its a horrible idea for visual cohesion.” theres plenty of ways around it in the UI, i promise you it wouldnt be the end of the world. 💀 and “not realizing what im advocating for” is pretty nuts. 💀 im advocating for more customization, to use all the armor i paid for and earned in all five slots without being stuck to an exotic fashion wise. it truly isnt that hard to grasp in my opinion.

@@UltrimateGaming You shouldn't have to inspect someone to know what they're using. Flat out, full stop. I KNOW how the community would react because I've been playing this game since D1's beta. I've seen literally EVERYTHING this community has screeched about over the past decade. It IS a bad thing if you want your "cool stuff" to easily hide what your loadout is. Your request here isn't reasonable. They've explained in the past why they won't do basic armor transmog for exotics, and this is no different. You're hiding valuable information by allowing that to happen. It's a no-go. You're advocating for more customization that allows people to obscure what they're using, making it more difficult for fireteams to understand who they're playing with/against. It ruins visual cohesion and disrupts the core concept OF an exotic to begin with. The amount of skull emojis tells me exactly what age group you're in, and that you likely weren't even 17 by the time D1 launched. You don't know what you're talking about. At all.

wow, this is a first. usually people argue that normal exotics shouldnt get the treatment but the exotic class items should 💀there is no possible way anyone can tell whats on an exotic class item by looking at it, so bungie themselves disproved their own ideology about needing to recognize exotics at a glance. but you commenting this just proves you apparently didnt read the title or description. i want it in PVE ONLY, where it literally wouldnt matter if you have a legendary armor set on an exotic. and in terms of the exotic ornaments “looking similar enough to the original piece” go to day 10 of this series, and read my discussion with a user named slate about it. i debunked that entire argument, i implore you to go read it.

@@Ronin_PB it would give players more customization, using all of their armor they’ve earned and paid for without being shacked to an exotic appearance wise? makes plenty of sense to me. and they’ve disabled the third person view in emotes in certain parts of pvp? theyre not against disabling things in pvp. and it would make the people that insist on the ideology of exotics being recognizable in pvp despite the new exotic class items going against that happy too.

Transmig is having like a different legendary armor but it looks different like you have the cayde cloak but it looks like the refugee cloak

That’s called “transmat”, they’re talking about having exotic armor customization outside of a single piece and it’s ornaments.

haha i hope it doesnt take that long and i appreciate your support! but ill just more or less copy and paste my case for it that ive said to others. in my opinion there are ways to make the pvp playerbase content with it being implemented. my biggest suggestion is to just have it disabled like they did with the third person view in emotes to prevent 3 peeking. and bungie themselves have literally disproved their own logic because with the new exotic class items there is literally no possible way anyone can tell what two perks are on it by glancing at it to adapt accordingly. and others have brought up the exotic ornament thing too. that the exotics have options. some years old exotics dont have an ornament, and some barely change the look of it. still very very limiting. and speaking of that, i think exotic ornaments add to my argument oddly enough. are we supposed to memorize memorize what every armor on every class does, recognize it through hundreds of shaders, and know all of the ornaments and what the ornaments for? that just seems like a tall order in my opinion i genuinely think there are ways around it. myself and many others just want to use all of the armor we paid for and earned all at once without being shackled to an exotic that does something we like but is not our taste or doesnt fit with our other armor. its very limiting i really hope it can be implemented one day. there are also people that dont want it because “it takes away the challenge of making exotics work in your fashion.” that one baffles me the most, i paid for and earned these armors let me use all of them without an exotic dictating my whole set please, its how my character looks its not a challenge. 😭

No excuse it does not matter if you don't know what exotic they wear. And every sweaty mode has an intro where you can see what they wear. normal crucible doesn't need it because it is just normal crucible

@@osryr if you enjoy being limited by an exotic for whatever reason, then you can STILL do that if they implemented exotic transmog. nothings stopping you from just not using the exotic transmog. people want more customization and the “challenge” of using exotics in our looks is old. its very limiting.

@@UltrimateGaming Like Bungie said I think, it'd make it impossible to tell what exotic armor, if any, the person is using. I'm all for it, but I think it'd need some special glow or marking or something on the armor to indicate that there's an exotic armor being worn.

@@edslayer9756 sigh. its not that i cant make a good look with exotics, ive been doing it since destiny 1. the fact that it limits me from using ALL the pieces of armor I want is not ideal in my opinion. i genuinely dont understand why youre so against having MORE customization. it is only beneficial to you as the player.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding why this is a bad idea, but surely being able to make your exotic look how you want to better fit an outfit is only positive?

@@literallybuckling the point of the exotics is to build around it. It needs to stand out compared to your other pieces of armor. Also think about trials or competitive. You get a little preview of the whole team and what they are wearing so you can brace yourself for what is to come and try and adapt to the play style they have. If you can just change the look to whatever you’re going to not even know what to expect. Plus armor ornaments exist.
