Timothy Duckworth
Добавлен 22 июл 2009
Hi! My name is Tim. I'm a sophomore in high school and I am a self-taught theatre organist. I have not taken any sort of formal organ lessons, and do not read music -- please do not hound me about those two things. If there are songs anyone would like to hear posted, please let me know and I will try to fill the request.
Tim Duckworth plays Liberace
A very Liberace-esque performance of "As Time Goes By" from Casablanca, based on Liberace's own arrangement of the piece.

Dizzy Fingers on the Fox Theatre Wurlitzer

Inspired by a recording of George Wright at the San Francisco Fox Theatre, I had to give his version of this piece a try when I was at the Fox in St. Louis. This was an impromptu performance; this was my first time at the Fox in right about three years. It was just as fun as it was before.

It's De-Lovely on the Page Theatre Organ

Today I had a chance to visit Firehouse Pipes in Union City, Indiana. The venue is home to a 3/12 Page theatre pipe organ. The owners of the instrument, Dick and Linda Wilcox, are the owners of Uniflex Relay Systems. This organ serves as the test instrument for each new version of the relay software. The instrument speaks wonderfully into the room, which is often used as a community center for ...

I decided I would try something a bit more modern this time. I still have a long way to go with this piece, however. This recording is still a bit rough, but I wanted something new to post - notice the improved voicing on the organ, the result of 3 months' work.
Tim Duckworth at the Rialto Square Theatre - Sassy Brass
Просмотров 3,4 тыс.11 лет назад
From my July 2013 concert. I decided to stray somewhat from Buddy Cole's arrangement, on which this version is based. Instead of contrasting the two trumpets, I first used the brass trumpet and tuba mirabilis against the french trumpet and brass trumpet, and then used the two trumpets together against the post horn. Not much different, but when you have four manuals and 5 ranks of brass, it's o...
There's No Business Like Showbusiness - Theatre Organ

Tim Duckworth plays No Business Like Showbusiness on the Gallops residence organ, a 4 manual instrument with around 200 total ranks, making it the largest theatre-style organ in the world. The Sanfilippo organ is the largest theatre PIPE organ, at 88 ranks, although the Gallops residence organ is digital, and contains only a few playing Principal pipes. The rest of the instrument is fully digital.

Tim Duckworth plays When Sunny Gets Blue
This loss just pisses me off.
It may not be the Fox Theatre organ sound, but, very nice job in playing this great song in the Wurlitzer!!!
Every time I listen to you play Timothy, I know that the Angels are thrilled to have you play for the Almighty; tears run down my face that we lost you at such a tender age; love you, Richard ❤🩹
You're listening to. an Angel play ,may he be playing to the angels in heaven .may he RIP.❣
Sad to hear of his passing. 😞 The tune always reminds me of the VERY old car commercial... "It's delightful, it's delovely, it's DeSoto!"... Can you guess my age? 🙂
Wonderful Rendition
Superbly played. Rest In Peace.
I googled to find out why he died but did not find a clear answer. He looked very young by his pictures. Rest in peace🙏Timothy.
This fellow died in his early 20's. I understand a homicide. Very sad indeed. A real talented young man. I trust he is with the Lord.
So sad to hear he was murdered a few years ago, what a talent lost.
Clicking noises when keys pressed down way to prominent.
what a terrible loss. Taken away from us at such a young age. I'm sure he is serenading the angles now. RIP Tim..
I hope they catch the low life bastard that killed him.
R.I.P. So sad to have lost this talent to a criminal.
R.I.P. I hope they find out who did this to you.
So sad to hear of his death, I hope they find out who did this horrible thing to such a young talent..
He has His Organ shoes now. So sad to have lost you and your talent.
So sad to have lost such a great talent. My thoughts to your family.
I didn't know he passed-What happened? Such a talent lost.
Tim... You have no idea how much you are missed. R I P My friend, Jim
Awesome Tim, just like the great man himself, you will be missed, I hope you are up there having a jam session
Good effort.
Wow!!!
Thank you for uploading this video to RUclips. I like tunes being played on a Wurlitzer organ (or an organ that's similar to a Wurlitzer). These organs have a sound like no other. Only church organs can match the sound. This is a great tune and one that I'll enjoy playing over and over again. Thank you once again.
What the hell possessed his going to some homeless populated local park in the late PM's. His car gets bogged in mud. What the hell??!!! The poor kid's body found floating in the local lake a couple of days later! Walking on the wild side??...worse today than ever before!! Pity! Such an 'unbridled' talent.
Sorry we can't see you live anymore.
Sad this is the only place we'll ever hear him play now.
He certainly was talented!
Nice! 😎
It is now 2022. Hope the organ is still there. It is getting harder to find even electronic organs anymore---- sad!!!
Wow! I can't even begin to comprehend how a self taught organist can be this good! (speaking as a long time pro musician). Awesome job.
Stupendo... Eccezionale
It would be wonderful to know more about Tim. I first heard him on youTube and was amazed how well he played, even in socks! He came from a musical family background. It was reported he said he did not have organ lessons and could not read music. If so, he was naturally born with his talent! Organ playing including accurate keying, chording, harmony, counter-melody, pedaling, 2nd touch, rhythm, console layout, and registration! All seemed to come natural for him. There are current organists that display an innate sense this musical talent is bundled inside them! They just have to feel for it and play for us dreamers. Tim could have been a desired theater organ concert performer; but his life was interrupted too soon. Hopefully now in Heaven playing the "Perfect-Non-Ciphering" pipe organs. Rest In Peace, Timothy.
He was the greatest theatrical organist who ever lived.
No
Was this at a concert?
I never had the pleasure of meeting Tim but I feel like I have lost my best friend just from watching all of his videos. RIP Tim, I am sure you are in a much better place. Jim
An extraordinary talent - so sad that Tim's life came an end at such an early age.
What the heck was that??? Way to fast, just sounds all of a jumble???
Awesome!!
Wonderful playing. Major kudos.
Rest In Peace, such a tragic loss to the family and the Organ world. I enjoy theater pipe organ music and Tim was certainly a rising star and will be sorely missed.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear! Are there other recordings of him, or just the ones on RUclips?
I had no idea. I enjoy hearing him kill the keys like no other. I'm very sorry for your loss.
Tim I hope you know how much we all miss you.. Such a Great Loss to us all. My Prayers are always for your family. RIP my Friend. Jim
Delightful
Very talented young man. WOnder how the heck he ended up in a river. God have mercy!
Heard this today. A soul ripped from this earth. May his talent play forever through RUclips. Heartbroken 💕🥺
What a tragic loss, I hope to meet you upstairs one day Tim, you were fabulous. RIP my friend.
I only just found this channel, searching for the hymn abide with me duckworth because there is this gentleman named Peter duckworth who is recording hymns since the pandemic started. And I saw a recording of Tim doing abide with me, and looked at some more of his recordings here. I can't believe that we lost him! Are there any other recordings of him, other than the ones here on RUclips?
RIP you were great. Hope I hear you again some day.
I never had the privilege to meet Tim but watching his You Tube channel I feel like I have lost my Best Friend. What a terrible loss. My prayers go out to his family. All my very best. Jim
You know, I never had the pleasure of meeting Tim, but somehow I feel like I have Lost my Best Friend... Every time I watch one of his videos I think, What a tremendous loss. I am sure he is looking down on us saying. "Keep my spirit alive guys". All by very best to all. >>> Jim >>>
Tim, such talent, you are really missed. R.I.P.
