Please Don't ask me Performed by John Farnham from the album "Uncovered"
Reminds me of a Cliff Richard.
The great John Farnham!!!
I remember my nana used to sing this song in the kitchen and she was so happy too
This is Johns second appearance on "Brian Henderson's Bandstand " in early 1968, performing "Sadie" for the second time after being presented with a gold record by host, Brian Henderson. The very lovely Bandstand dancer, Carolyn Peraggio features in the first part of the clip.
My dad used to sing this a lot when I was a kid back in the early 70's...in November, this song will be 57 years old.
still holds up... @john you are a genius and I salute you!

Grew up with this Always good memories
God music got so much better than this. Then got so much worse. Then got better again. Now this seems like its good but its really because its so bad that the worse stuff makes it feel better than the good stuff pretending like its the worst only because this is better than it was. The worst.
Johnny didn't like this song .But it made him clean money 💸 and lots . Cleaners are a treasure because its taken by 4 hour's to clean a small area .just got mop the floors. And worse job bathrooms dont you hate cleaning the shower. So iwould like a sadie the cleaning lady .But nobody wants to work for nothing there days 😃😃😃Or should

When they could sing or dance!
Just found this single in a box in the closet backed with "In My Room" has a fun Hermit's vibe to it way down under.✨
Haha my childhood crush 🥰
I think this was recorded by Ch9 Adelaide, going by the ballet girls
We had to sing this song at school it just came to mind 20 years later 😅
My mum loved this song, we bonded alot over it, she passed away 8 months ago. This is now a very bitter sweet song
Don’t know why people give him so much shit for this song, it slaps!!
My friend name is Sadie😂😂
❤❤❤❤ I was about 8 when I first heard this song, back in 1970 (I know it came out earlier) I love this song and still do to this day. Johnny Farnham.....just a legend in his own lifetime. Watched him through all the years and all the changes... I just love him❤❤❤❤👍👍🇭🇲🇭🇲
Absolute legend. Brought a tear to my eye! Good onya John!! 🎉🎉❤
Yes, and who didn't have a Sadie vacuum cleaner in the 70's? For those who don't know, it was a 5 gallon drum on wheels, motor in the top. It had a huge capacity, making it ideal for the home workshop. Marketed as the "GE Sadie", we all knew it was named after this song, although officially, nothing was ever said. We still have one.
Loved hearing this song again, I never get tired of it
Poor John, this song haunted him for years and was a barrier to being taken seriously in the 70s and 80s. Luckily he was able to break back through in 86 and people finally appreciated his enormous voice and talent.
I LOVE John. He had a great voice even back then. The song seems strangely dated, as if it should have come out in the early 1960s not late 60s. Especially if you compare it to what bands like the Beatles were doing at the time. I guess the novelty single lived on!
Well, The Goodies had a couple of hit novelty songs in the mid 70s, at least in the UK.
@@Hodaris_Darlin people release novelty songs now too, but I feel like daggy ones were more popular back then
Great dancer. Who is she,?
I love it so much I want to die hahahahaha😂😂😂
