I wish I could find the old model. Now all the shoes, even the most expensive are made of recycled mesh/canvas which looks like it will last for 5 months

I`m considering more seriously the adidas powerlift 5, but I think reebok makes the most durable shoes, and I find them a biit cheaper, so can`t decide yet. I also have flat feet, should I buy some wide shoes or should I go for a narrower so as to hold my feet better?

Thanks for the review. I have had the PR version of these for over two years and have been well satisfied. The sole has recently started to peel off on the heel slightly so I'm thinking about getting the PR II based on your review. It seems that they have fixed the one thing that many people complained about; the velcro on the strap on the PR would stick to the laces and make them get "fuzzy" after awhile. They are very durable and useful for crossfit, squatting, and weightlifting.

Do you know if the Adipower is a softer / different upper material than the canvas Powerlift 4? Is it also more narrow than the Powerlift 4? I got the Powerlift 4 and sized up half a size but i'm finding the metal eyelets are not that comfortable on my wider foot due to a bunion. I also find the canvas quite rigid. I'm not really used to weight lifting shoes. Which is the most comfortable? I love the Romaleos 4 look in Bright White / Crimson Pink. I have quite a narrow heel. Do you think I would have fit issues though?
