Great video, it's great seeing someone equally enthusiastic about Push 3 !!! Regarding a point about the sustain pedal you made at 35:10 - If you select a different track while holding the sustain pedal, it'll continue to be held even after you switch back to the instrument - which means you don't have to keep holding the sustain pedal all the time.

I love the video ton of value an i own it for awhile now just got my studio built an now its time to learn it an yes i feel stupid when i dont know what i doing but thanks to you ive got something to reference !

I just bought a used Push 2 and am having fun but also a bit overwhelmed. Thanks for this video! It helped a lot. How do you stop the sequencer mode if you put in a pattern then want to stop it and go back to a regular drum rack? PS: I didn't know you could change the tempo of the entire session with the knob above the tempo button. That's handy.

I use it as a controller, as I use the maschine mk3, in the studio. I still prefer the maschine workflow, I'm just trying to go Push because of ableton incredible tools for audio editing and how it combines audio and midi. But for that type of creation in front of a pad based instrument, to put up an idea barely using the keyboard and mouse but still enjoying the visual facilities of a big monitor in front of you and a computer processor and big memory with the best vst's around, maschine still wins handily. I don't care about standalone, I just which maschine has that deep audio editing and arrangement of ableton (not push), or the push had the maschine workflow. The difficulty to do a simple send to a reverb bus of a single snare in a drum rack in push it's a shame, as some things in maschine it's a shame. They all do all sorts of complex stuff but their failures are always on the most basic, obvious shit.

I want to make my own rap beats, but I’ve never rapped before. My problem is directly stemming from the fact that I haven’t actually created music yet. I do make beats, but I’ve never rapped on them to see what I like. Once I actually start making music I’ll see what I like and therefore I’ll have my own sound. It’s just really difficult though.

Is it possible to swap pad positions like if I have one sample on pad 1 and another in pad 3 and I want to change one for the other ?

Honestly dunno why this doesn't have more views or comments. This is really the best way to learn music theory as a beginner as it's way more visual than learning on a piano. This really helped me with Push 3

Hi I love your channel and videos mostly those explaining Push 2 which is what I just got Here's the issue I'm having with my Push 2 When browsing, the menus/columns of anything (instruments, FX, plugins, samples, etc) don't pop/expand to the right automatically as they were doing before, now I have two buttons illuminated with arrows (< >) on the far right for scroll right or left, where before I had the upload option/button I have no idea why this is happening nor why has it changed or what did I do to change this setting but I can't find the way to get it back to the usual settings that everybody else seems to be having within the browser screen Any help will be greatly appreciated

for 16 velcoities i have to repress my selected sound every time i want to trigger it at a new velocity. I can't just press it once at the start and then start playing all the different velocities. Does anyone know what this is happening?

Would you say you still need a computer with Abelton with the push3 or can you can you absolutely make music anywhere that has a power outlet? Cause I feel like then it justifies me just paying the money for push 3 vs push 2 and having to purchase a laptop plus Abelton software to some degree.

This is pretty cool. I really wanted Ableton for the longest time because of the clip based live looping & session/arrangement options. But after trying out every single major DAW except Logic, i realized that it would just be redundant for my particular workflow...because i already do most of my midi production on Maschine Mk3...and it workflow is essentially just like this is. So the more i considered it, spending the 7-to-$800 on Ableton suite just didn't make much sense...seeing as how i already have that convenient clip based workflow in Maschine. With all of it integrated perfectly with my K14 and my NI keyboard. I do still own Ableton light, Bitwig 5 and Studio One 5 l...but I rarely ever even open them up, because Reaper just does all I need it to do more intuitively when im ready to move into the DAW to finsh out a complete song.

This so inventive and amazing,... but where is all of your hit records or songs from using all of this??? #respect
