    It doesn't look like you saw much of the city. No one goes there to hang out at the beach, which makes that a very silly observation. The interesting part of Valpariso is the hill communities, which you seem to have entirely avoided. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is quite beautiful. Also, your speaking voice is extremely difficult to understand and unsuitable for this type of narration. Possibly with some vocal coaching you could improve.

    0:49 This paper form is not in use anymore. You have to download the app and fill up the online form instead. 1:26 This list is sus. You did not even tell where you got it from. Another AI generated crap? Point 4 - You can take pictures of government buildings. And all the other points are pulled from some generic database. For example, Alcohol is already banned in the country. There is no where you can purchase it. Public drinking, if I am not mistaken it is also prohibited in some major western countries. BTW, smoking is also banned nationwide. You can smoke in your own home but nowhere else. You can fly drones when you get permit from authorities. We have already seen dozens of RUclipsrs showing drone footage around the Bandar Seri Begawan.

      I shared the info that I've found before the trip, maybe now it's different or not true, just because I was preparing based on the internet info and not contacting any government organization. But even info from government organizations sometimes can be false, so in most cases you can never be sure that the info on the internet is true :D

    I'm sorry that you had such a rush time in Valparaíso, altough i agree with a lot of what you said about the city being dirty and unsafe you only visit the "El plan" which is the flat area of the city, and it's honestly not that interesting. You missed the most tourist places that are Cerro alegre, Cerro Concepción, Cerro Bellavista, Cerro Cárcel they definitly feel safer than the Plan. Also even tho is true that Valparaíso doesn't have a direct access to sea you have the waterfront "La costanera" all the way from Muelle Barón to Caleta Portales. Hope you visit us the next time :)

These are people from santiago who always lived there but never had the $8 for bus ticket to valparaiso!! Imagine all your life you could never afford 8$ for a 1,5 hr round trip bus tour in your own country. Wow. But a very nice place to see, great video!!

    I just came back from spending 2 weeks in 3 different areas of Santiago. The images you show are a small fraction of what this city is about. Yes, there are homeless people, like most other large metro areas around the world. The difference I saw in Santiago are entire families of immigrants from neighboring countries (mostly Argentina), with small children, camping in parks where people would stop to bring them food and clothes. However, I also saw a city that is growing in leaps in bounds, using sound urbanism concepts to make humans' lives healthier and more pleasant in a densely packed city. You chose to focus on your negative point of view. That is regrettable because, in my experience, this isn't a true representation of Santiago.

    • @tripreview.andrii

    It feels as if you only spoke negatively about my country, which is sad. I don’t know what you expected when you came here, but this is South America, and like everywhere, there are places that can be dangerous. It’s also important to do some research in advance! For example, if I were to visit New York, I wouldn’t go to the Bronx, or if I went to LA, I’d avoid Skid Row. It’s funny because I’ve seen other videos of foreigners visiting here, and they have a different opinion! So maybe you just don’t like us? It’s possible. Anyway, the beauty of Chile is not in the cities you visited; it’s in places like Chilean Patagonia, Easter Island, San Pedro de Atacama, and the south of Chile. So I disagree with your final decision :)

    • @tripreview.andrii
      @tripreview.andrii 5 месяцев назад

      I agree, I didn't prepare myself well, so I am giving advice about the places that don't suitable for a visit at the moment. I didn't aim to offense you or anyone else. The issue here, in my opinion - if you google videos about Santiago or Valparaiso -> 99% of those videos are extremely positive. I watched those videos and my expectations and reality didn't meet. It's kind of a video that says, that Skid Row or Bronx, or center of Santiago are not the best places for a tourist right now

  • @CARLESIUS

    Greater Santiago is a much larger conurbation than Greater Valparaiso. In Greater Valparaiso you have observed the differences between the commune of Valparaiso and the commune of Viña del Mar. In Greater Santiago there are also great differences between the communes in the center and the communes closer to the Andes mountain range. The latter are larger, cleaner and more luxurious than Viña del Mar. But it seems that you did not know them and you came to the hasty and wrong conclusion that all of Santiago was as run down as Valparaiso.

    • @tripreview.andrii
      @tripreview.andrii 5 месяцев назад

      yes, looks like I didn't prepare well enough. Will try to visit those areas closer to Andes next time. That's the aim of the video - name bad places to stay and search for good places. Because often you can find only positive videos and you don't know what you shouldn't do or which places best to avoid. Thank you for the recommendation about where to stay next time in Santiago

    Every city has its own atractions, downtown Santiago is not the same as it was10 years ago, many stores shut down and there's been a huge deterioration, due to massive riots 5 years ago. In addition there has been a non stop migration wave for 6 or 7 years, many live on the streets or in tents in parks, and carry out street trade. The case of Valparaiso is due to the city hall administration and mainly because its citizen have a strong political ideology. For foreign tourists Chile's main attractions are the desert and the landscapes in the south

    I had no idea that Santiago was so dirty and dangerous. Liked your honest review. I have a constructive suggestion, do not use Mexican music for cities outside of Mexico, that music is loud and annoying. I would use music instead from the country you're visiting, like in this case from Chile, and if you can't find any from the country, I would use something more neutral and not as loud.

I have Hispanic roots, not Mexican and I can tell you with certainty, that to most Hispanics, (especially in the Caribbean and South America) that the Mariachi Mexican music on a video will turn a lot of people off. It is clear you are not a native speaker of english. It seems you only visit the bad part of Santiago. I don't understand you. fair review. santiago has deteriorated significantly over the last 10 years thanks to an economic downturn due to bad fiscal policies, mass migration and finally the 2019 riots and covid lockdowns which left the city dirty and unsafe. it was not like this before even in rougher neighbourhoods. the place to stay in santiago is providencia which is safe, clean and near everything or a short metro ride away. the ideal as you said is to head out to other cities or visit smaller towns. santiago is worth visiting but isn't chile.
