Hi,do you do any pop ups. Thanks
No, we don't. Unless you need it for a carport. Towing is only 1 to 2 litres per 100km. So, with that in mind for me, I would rather have the extra insulation and overhead cupboard space.
Another great video thanks Michael. Question for perhaps another video. Outside locks, doors, etc. Are they all keyed alike?
Thanks. They can be. I will source some and do a video in the future about them. Thanks for watching.
Hi Mick, can you send me a price based on same as the vid clip?
We now make it as a Gap 691 series 2 with a lot more upgrades for $150k. Give me a call if you want to know more. I'm driving to the Albany office today.
@@CameronCaravansthanks Mick, why the change in model, is it due to weight?
Was more to do with appealing to more of the market. At 23ft it was a big van.
You need fans
With the faxfann in the roof, it will draw the air in or out. Inside fans only move the hot air around. Having said that, we can easily fit for customers if needed.
If someone tried to sell me an "offroad" van with battery storage below the chassis I'd walk out and never go back.
Jason, Not sure if you have heard about the new regulations for battry storage? But the simple wording is the can't be in a habitable area. The can no longer be inside the van.
@CameronCaravans no I hadn't heard. Then for me, the draw bar is the most obvious place for storage. Reducing ground clearance in an offroad van doesn't seem logical.
@jasonpen777 the battery boxes are still higher than the water tanks. Also Ball weight is a big issue with putting them on the A frame. Hence why we we put them as close as we can to the axles.
Are they made in the same factory in China as Torus? Seems they are very similar.
Ahh ok cheers
Hey guys, you did a video of a van with the rear club lounge and had been shortened to 21.6 I think. can you tell me what model that is as I can’t find the video
The closest is our CRV 691 at 22'6. We shortened it down from the 711 23'
Love your vans… with version where the bathroom is in the middle, many people say with other vans the the air con doesn’t reach the bedroom. Does your exhaust fan draw sufficient cold air through to the bedroom?
Hi Rod, I have a 711 with that layout and have had no problem getting the cool air into the bedroom. I had my thermometer on the table at the rear lounge reading 21 and the bedroom was 22 while outside was 35. i have also used the max fan to draw air down to the bedroom but it works ok as it is.
Ah brilliant, is that because if the fan or just the air con works that well? I am really wanting the rear club lounge setup as I work remotely and on the road, so that’s awesome the air con is drawn in.
We have fitted composting toilets for customers. We also offer Airbag suspension options now. Happy caravanning 😊 😊
Great review on all your models.👍 Are you looking airbag suspension & composite toilet for future vans? Would tick all the boxes then.😏 We love our 571 Gap & can't say enough about the service from you guys from start to finish.👍
I had to play the video back to see what you saw. I had never noticed. Was the light in the shed.
The roof looked like it's been hail stone impacted. Awesome vans, though
Definitely ripples in the roof. Looks bad for a new caravan.
Do any of your vans have air bag suspension
There are no videos yet, but we do have it as an option.
Is this van on your website and / or available to view in Perth?
Hi DDC, This van is currently available to view in Perth i will attach a link to view it below. www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/b78e078e08/2843999/2024-crv-on-track-caravan-651
Great video but one thing everyone seems to forget to mention. Plates cups etc. Where are they stored Securely?
You are right. I didn't mention it, but yes, we have organisers.
@@CameronCaravans thank you. No one seems to mention that. Much appreciated for the prompt response
Lovely to meet you this morning Michael. We were impressed with the GAP 511. Will be in touch.
Thank you, Michelle. Was great meeting you, too. Sorry, I got sidetracked. Busy day. 3 more customers joining the CRV family today.
@@CameronCaravans don’t be silly & that’s wonderful!
Where's the DO35 coupling ,not we've bought one yet but you guys are at the top of my list so far ,and where's the window that always above the bed ??
Definitely can be done. We just put a DO35 for a highway this week.
Do you have a single bed option with this van
Unfortunately, we can't fit the single beds in the 571, but we can in the 601 hwy.
Great video again, thanks. Did you mean 18'7"? I think you said 17'8". (5700/25.4)/12 = 18.700 and 12*0.7 = 8.4" so 18'8.4". I really like your vans, they look great.
I make lots of little mistakes like this. Not everyone picks them up when I try to do in one take 😊 Our 571 is meant to be 18'8.
How much for the Gap CRV571, it looks fantastic.
Gap 571 is $129k as in a previous video.
What's internal roof height please?
2030mm/6'8" My height 😊
Very practical and cosy setup.
Induction on top of bench :)
Can be done if you require. Customers voted at the rally to keep under the bench top. The reason is if something falls out of cupboard or drops on it, you are protected under the lid still.
@@CameronCaravans Yes, that was mentioned in the video. My view would be that is easily managed by how you pack the cupboard, like all van cupboards and the aesthetic of top mounting is much nicer. All the best.
Do you have a model with accommodation for two kids?
Hi John, We currently have a couple different models that have bunks i will link a few below. 1. 603 Southern End www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/4c222020a0/2724545/2024-crv-gap-caravan-663-2-bunk 2.493 Hybrid www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/4c222020a0/2268881/2024-crv-hybrid-caravan-493 3.603 Highway www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/4c222020a0/2268907/2024-crv-highway-caravan-603-2-bunk 4. 663 Gap www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/4c222020a0/2724545/2024-crv-gap-caravan-663-2-bunk
Great presentation and good looking Van. Is it available on the East Coast at all ?..thanks
We only sell directly from our yard with lots of happy customers on the East Coast.
@CameronCaravans as Elross..can't get the West Aussies over East.🌏
We have organised freight and deliveries to the East. There is no difference to East Coast brands sold into WA without a dealer.
@CameronCaravans of course...hard to get a better look at WA brands in the East though..that's why Zone are setting a WA dealership. Your Vans look great value however still need a walk through.
I hadn't heard about Zone in WA. Something I am definitely going to have to look at in the future.
Dometic DRS..sorry it is a suboptimal product and wonder if you have better options such as Carafan ? Thanks
Yes. With anything we fit, the customer has the option to choose.
@CameronCaravans ..flexibility in options is a key brand differentiator in my view & demonstrates a customer career factor.
Price please
Hi Lynn, This van is priced at $117,000, I will attach a link below. www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/4c222020a0/2841084/2024-crv-601r-caravan-southern-end
Many thanks for the price and link, l would say that you have certainly thought of everything, a lovely set up. Am l correct in thinking the frame etc is produced in China, similar to the Snowy River vans. As you are in Perth area, do you export to New Zealand?
@LynnMcgregor-ss2ty The frame is very and body is very different to other built vans. Our Aluminium frame with sandwich panel coated in a Fibreglass skin that has been heat backed to look for delimitation twice before sending to me. Even our chassis are hot-dipped. Snowy factory are not near are hot dip bath so can not offer this. We are very different in our chose of products used to build our vans. I would rather spend more and put better quality products in turn will save me money with less warranty and happy customers.
@CameronCaravans Thanks, l will be in Perth later in the year visiting my Son and family, so will call in have a look see.
I'm really liking your vans the design , attention to detail and quality looks spot on. Do you have any agents on the east coast by chance. Also I'd like to see you talk about the weights in your vids too as it's such a hot topic in towing nowadays.
Sorry, we are only direct from our own business in WA. I feel if I were to give it to other dealers, I would lose that customer service that we offer. As I say to my customers. That's my name on the product and I will back it 100%. Agree. I need to get more into the number. I start talking and get sidetracked with everything I see in front of me.
I love it, the perfect size for us.
Was the perfect size to tow and go anywhere with.
Is there a single bed option
G'day Bob, what's the weights? Looks good..
Hi Bob, this van has a tare weight of 2288Kg and an ATM of 2800Kg with a ball weight of 166Kg. Hope this is of some help. 👍
Kept thinking you were talking directly to me, even saying my name.😃
Haha 😄
Wow, what a great value van. What are the weights please.
Tare 2814. Aggregate 3500. Ball 134.
ATM east coast ,near Taree
Amazing setup, excellent stuff ups very informative certainly top notch.
I try my best 😁
I think your vans are fantastic value. Two points I would like to ask: a can you put a motorised dust suppression system on as I’ve met people who have the dometic system and at lower speeds they tend to lose some efficiency.snd ; b could you put blue tooth speakers for the outside ones and that way you can take them where you are and two less holes in the wall. Chris from Australind.
Chris, yes to both questions. There are a few options for dust suppression systems. Very easy to delete outside speakers as we use Fusion stereo systems can pair to Bluetooth.
The chassis:I said that they was manufactured in Australia (Albany). Others have argued this is not correct:Am I right as I’m an ardent supporter and I want to make sure I have all my facts correct. I personally think the vans you produce are fantastic and long overdue for Wet Australia. Chris
The chassis and body are made in an Australian owned factory in China. As you can see from my videos we have a lot of input into our vans. You can buy cheaper Chinese vans but I would rather pay for the quality product that I put my name on. Yes the vans are completed and certified in my Perth and Albany offices.
Just watching your new video and this is a size we may buy once we get to access our super as well be living in it full time round out great nation but question ; why don't you or other manufacturers make the washing machine easy accessible to say get at from outside as well seeing as how people use CV clotheslines under their awning to hang their washing ,just a thought as Ide like this option ,say possibly by having the washing machine on a turntable or slide out compartment to access from our the back !! Thoughts on this ,Peter
Tricky one to work out. If we put a door in the back with a slide out, it could work. Risk is always any opening in the rear of a caravan is dust entering. Then you have to move the spare tyre somewhere. As you can see, it is not a simple answer. Happy to discuss your options more?
It could possibly work if work if spare tyre placed underneath rear of van then the door could be suction sealed to prevent dust entering, but just my idea from watching so many vids lately as we get closer to touching our super to buy
Not sure where home is but if you get the chance to pop into Perth or Albany happy to discuss options?
You are the best presenter of a new caravan I have ever seen you should conduct seminars on the right way to pressent the under floor filming is next level and shows how proud you are of your vans five star 😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Yes I am very proud of our product. I have a huge team that supports me in producing this awesome product.
For anyone wishing to view the caravan see attached link. www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/96c6ca291d/2841085/2024-crv-601r-caravan-gap
You've moved the lights to meet the 45-degree legal requirements, but the number plate location does not meet the 45-degree legal location
Bob, not sure if camera angle or there is something I am missing. Tyres are high enough and plate low enough that it does?
Nice looking van. My main concern is the underslung batteries and what happens to them during deeper creek crossings. Water is not their friend and one good dunking will cost thousands. Tail lights look very vulnerable and are too low. They may rip off during a steep departure angle. I'm assuming the water heating is gas, but what about the heating the van itself ? Is diesel an option for both ? Is that a DRS system in front of the extractor ? Is there an option for full flat floor ?
Steeevo, Thanks for your feedback. I will answer each question for you below. 1. The batteries are waterproof and the BMS built in will protect them from a water crossing. We mount the Redarc shunt inside the van. Hope this makes sense. 2. Taillights to bottom of plate are 800mm heigh with the bumper bar arm being the lowest point to protect the lights. No problems so far. 3. Water heater is gas electric. With the large battery system and 100-amp charger you can run the reverse cycle air conditioner for heating and cooling now. 4. Diesel is still an option. 5. Yes, DRS are standard in all our off-road vans and works really well. 6. Yes, we are working on a new flat floor model now. Hope this helps. Regards Michael Cameron
You forgot to mention the most obvious fact of all … what’s the price for the exact van you’ve shown?? Thanks
Hi Oliver, Here is a link to the caravan on our website for you to view. www.cameroncaravans.com.au/caravans-in-stock/detail/a963c8e22f/2841085/2024-crv-601r-caravan-gap
@@CameronCaravans Thank you. $130,000.
Geez the tare weight is high for a composite.
Yes we have over engineered this. We put so many new features in it. We are working on a diet without compromising on strength. Watch this space?
Only thing we picked up on is the electrics under the mattress ,I wouldn't feel safe ,what if it shorts and causes the mattress and then can to catch alight ? Better placement may be needed like possibly under floor as your enter caravan! And as we get closer to 60,this may be a van we come to W.A to look at buying ,as well be living in it full-time
I love feedback. The hard part with electronics is keeping them as close as possible to the batteries outside while keeping the electronics inside for waterproof and dust proof. Between redarc and ourselves, we have so many safety features built in that you don't have to worry.
good looking van and listening to customer experience and making changes accordingly is encouraging for future customers. Suggest Microwave is placed below the bench top and replaced with a multifunction cooker something that may well be an option in any case. pity you are not east coast 😐
Thanks for the feedback. The microwave placement has also been a big question on where to put it. We have designed one for a customer with no oven or stove. Induction cook top. Then, below is a large cupboard or a multi cooker. We have a few customers over the East Coast. Being our own brand with no middle man, we can look after customers better. As I have said in other videos. That's my name on the brand, and I will back it.
I've never seen such a huge stuff up as under the bed. Why would put the inverter on the floor, taking all the space you have. No ever seen to think how you can can that space correctly
The quick answer is to 0:04 keep the inverter as close to the batteries as possible just under the floor. We are working with redarc on a new custom backboard for under the bed to mount everything on. In the meantime we have developed a large drawer under the bed offset from the inverter to be able to pull out in the walkway area. Hope this answers your question on why we put it there.
I just love that van, congratulations.
Thank you for that it has been a long time in the making, We are so happy to release it to the market.
Great looking van Michael, how much $ are we looking at as displayed?
It is $95k as per the specifications in the video.
Made in china
@@stuartcowan5525 yes to my designs and standards otherwise I would not put my name to it. The final finishing touches are done in or Albany office. I challenge you to find a better finished product and back up service anywhere in the market?
Google will tell you.
Can anyone help with changing light bulbs in my 2024?
It is a brand new Franklin Core which we bought a week ago and as I said it is a front loader....NCE...the whole van shakes rather intensely....
