Steve Howe has never had a happy day in his life.

Howe does tend to rant. I prefer to think he just doesn't accept mediocrity. We saw him with Yes in Philly with ASIA, and he went on a tirade about playing a lovely Martin guitar, but the sound system was "rubbish", as he put it. Whatever - I'll take an angry Steve Howe over any other guitarist any day.

Steve Howe may be a great talent but he's an absolute prick of a human being. The fact that he simply replaced Alan White after he died a few weeks before the 2022 tour speaks volumes. Yet when his son died it was a different matter, all shows called off. This current lineup is all about one man's ego and it absolutely sucks. But I get the feeling Howe is loving the complete control of the band now that the other long-term members are either dead or no longer involved.

Meltdown? He was only telling them how to properly light his show. He did nothing wrong.

You can see Howe somewhere else gesturing at a lighting or sound guy in a really angry fashion in the middle of a number at a gig. Maybe to turn his sound up. Possibly he's mellowed a bit by now. He sounded more mellow on an interview recently. I wonder why the recently scheduled 2023 Yes gigs have been postponed. ... ?

Somebody in the crowd says "Oh man" 😃 I've been to a couple of gigs he did for a Pam Bay of the Steve Howe Appreciation Society at the Fitzwilliam Centre in Beaconsfield, he seemed fairly chilled then but he can clearly be an arsehole at times! 😃

firstly, Steve had every right to demand a correct light. there's a huge difference between a three-minute direct spotlight and just a little light to make fretboard visible. a professional lighting engineer for a rock band should understand this. it's very strange for an art-rock band of such caliber to hire low-quality lighting people. perhaps someone skimming on personnel or gear (and then it's a basically a question of whose mistakes exactly led Yes into serious debts), but why should it become the guitarist's problem and lead to unplayability? secondly, quite possibly, someone from the filming crew is evading court after making this public. depends on what was written in the filming contract. thirdly, someone has created an account expressly to upload this video. what for?

Steve is an ass and always has been. I saw him shooshing and snapping at a couple of audience members during a Yes concert because they cheered for him too loudly during his acoustic solo. "Go, Steve!" "Not if you don't shut up!" Pure class.

Everyone is jumping on Steve Howe’s case but how do we know that this is something he has talked to the guy about before a lot and they just don’t seem to get the shit that would piss me off to. Hey they’re paying their salaries they should get it right.
