      Managing Gap and CAT Preparation 1. Does It Count as a 2-Year Gap? No, your extended graduation isn’t considered a gap year since you’re still completing your degree. Just explain the delay confidently during interviews (e.g., health issues, backlogs, etc.). --- 2. Target Percentile for Top IIMs (SC Female, Non-Engineer) Older IIMs (ABC): 85-90%ile. Newer IIMs/Other Top B-Schools (FMS, MDI, SPJIMR): 80-85%ile. --- 3. What to Focus On? CAT Prep: Aim for consistent practice and start mocks early (1 mock every 2 weeks in 2024). Profile Building: Take certifications (analytics, finance, or marketing) or internships to strengthen your profile. You have a strong academic background and category advantage. With focused effort, cracking top IIMs is achievable!

      Advice: How to Handle This Profile for CAT and IIMs Your academic profile (10th: 79%, 12th: 77%, Grad: 55%) makes getting into older IIMs like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta (ABC) tough because of their emphasis on academics. But don’t worry! You can still target newer and baby IIMs, FMS, MDI, XLRI, or SPJIMR, where a strong CAT percentile matters more. --- Step 1: Maximize Your CAT Score Target Percentile: 98+ for top colleges. Strategy: Focus on VARC and LRDI since they can balance weak Quant performance (if any). Start mocks early, focus on accuracy, and practice consistently. --- Step 2: Profile Improvement Your low graduation marks can be offset with achievements in other areas. Certifications: Do short courses in finance (NISM, Coursera), data analytics (Excel, Tableau), or marketing. Work Experience: Even a small internship or freelance project adds value. Extracurriculars: Participate in competitions, volunteering, or join clubs. --- Step 3: Plan B (Non-IIM Options) If not IIMs, aim for FMS, NMIMS, Symbiosis, IIFT, or TISS. These focus more on CAT/MBA entrance scores and PI performance than academics. --- Final Advice Your past doesn’t define your future. Put in full effort for CAT 2025, build a strong personal story, and aim for excellence in mock interviews and GDs. Let me know if you need a detailed action plan!

      How to Approach CAT 2025 and Build Your Profile 1. CAT Preparation Strategy 2024: Focus on building concepts in QA, VARC, and DILR using books like Arun Sharma. Start with 1 mock every two weeks. 2025: Intensify prep with 2-3 mocks per week from January. Analyze performance and focus on weak areas. Target Percentile: 98-99.5%ile for top IIMs. 2. Profile Building Certifications: Take online courses in finance, analytics, or communication (Coursera, edX). Internships: Apply for roles via Internshala or NGOs to gain experience. Extracurriculars: Join DU societies, volunteer, or participate in competitions. Hobbies: Start a blog, RUclips channel, or learn a creative skill. 3. Timeline 4. Key Tips Maintain/improve your CGPA to 8+. Read newspapers daily for PI prep. Leverage your diversity (non-engineer + female) for an edge. Let me know if you need more specific advice!

      @Divyanshu-IIM Thank you so much for your valuable advice. I am considering appearing for more government exams with a syllabus similar to the CAT exam. Which exams, apart from CAT, should I target? Is coaching necessary? If yes, which coaching institute would be affordable while providing good quality content? I also have my semester exams starting soon, and I’m not sure where to begin. I'm finding it difficult to manage time for CAT preparation alongside my studies. How much time should I dedicate to CAT preparation daily? One more doubt-I've been wanting to excel in extracurricular activities since I didn’t participate much during school and want to make up for it in college. However, people often say we should prioritize one goal and not deviate. They believe other activities won’t be useful, and full dedication to preparation is essential. They argue that dividing your energy among multiple things will leave you average in all of them. I feel the same sometimes-that investing time in too many things might be a waste, especially if my exam doesn’t go well. In that case, these extracurriculars might not help, and I’ll regret it. What should I do? These activities are important to me, but I don’t want to sacrifice my exam preparation. What's your take on this ?

      Your profile looks strong, especially with your consistent academics (10th: 93%, 12th: 87%, Graduation: 8.7 CGPA) and impressive extracurriculars. Here's how to approach CAT and IIM admissions: --- 1. Strengths of Your Profile Academics: Balanced and consistent, good for IIMs like Bangalore and Kozhikode, which focus on overall academic performance. Gender and Engineering Advantage: Female engineers are slightly underrepresented, so it adds diversity to your application. Extracurriculars: These can give you an edge in interviews (show leadership, teamwork, or unique achievements). --- 2. Target Percentile for Top IIMs (GEN Female, Engineer) IIM A/B/C: 99.5+%ile for safe chances. IIM L/K/I/FMS: 98-99%ile. Newer IIMs/Other Top B-Schools: 95-97%ile. --- 3. Focus Areas CAT Preparation: Sharpen your QA (engineers are expected to excel here). Focus on LRDI as it’s the differentiator. Regular mocks are crucial; aim for 2-3 per week by mid-2024. PI/WAT Prep: Highlight extracurriculars strategically (tie them to skills like leadership or time management). Be ready to answer why MBA and long-term career goals. --- You have a great foundation; with focused CAT prep and strong interview performance, you can aim for the top IIMs. Let me know if you need further help!

      Hello! Sabse pehle, all the best for tomorrow! 🧠🔥 Ab tumhare profile aur target ke hisaab se baat karte hain: Profile Highlights: 1. Academics - Decent (10th: 87.2%, 12th: 84.17%, Grad: 70.09%). 2. Gap - 2 years (manageable with a solid explanation like "focused preparation for government exams"). 3. Category - ST (significant advantage in cutoffs). 4. Target - IIM Calcutta / FMS. --- Safe Percentile for Calls: 1. IIM Calcutta: ST Category cutoffs for shortlist: CAT Percentile: Around 82-85 percentile. If your VARC/DILR/Quant sections are balanced and clear basic cutoffs, this should work. Academics and diversity play a role in the final selection (your profile seems good enough if you perform well in the interview). 2. FMS Delhi: Higher weightage on CAT Percentile (~60% of final weight): Safe percentile: Around 85-90 percentile. They look for strong sectional scores too, so aim for 90+ percentile in VARC if possible (due to FMS's extra weightage on it). --- Strategy for Tomorrow: 1. Sectional Focus: VARC: Maximize this, especially if it's your strength. DILR: Choose sets wisely; don’t get stuck. Quant: Start with your comfort areas (Arithmetic/Algebra for most). 2. Time Management: Stick to time limits per section. Don’t panic if a section feels tough-percentiles are relative. 3. Accuracy Over Attempts: ST cutoff advantage hai, so don’t overattempt. Focus on accuracy. --- Post-CAT Prep: If you clear these safe percentiles, WAT/PI prep will be key: Have a clear explanation for the gap years. Be ready to connect your background in Maths with how it helps in an MBA. Strong answers for "Why MBA?" and "Why IIM C/FMS?" Chill, stay confident, and give your best. You’ve got this! 💪 If you need a quick pep talk or last-minute tips, bata dena!

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM День назад

      Hey! Based on your profile, here’s how you can approach your target: 1. Academics: Class 10th: 92.6% - This is strong and will help balance things out. Class 12th: 68.8% - This is a bit lower compared to the usual IIM profile, but not a deal-breaker, especially since your undergrad is strong. Undergrad: 9.1 CGPA (Tier 1 college, Pune) - This is excellent and compensates for your Class 12 score. Tier 1 college weightage matters. 2. Work Experience: 3 years of work experience is a strong plus. IIMs value work experience, especially if you can demonstrate leadership, impact, and growth during this time. 3. CAT Score: For GEM candidates, a CAT score of 90+%ile is a solid target to get into most IIMs, but for top IIMs (A, B, C), you should aim for 95+%ile to be competitive. For other IIMs (L, K, I, etc.), a score of 85-90%ile could still get you through, though higher is better. 4. Key Focus Areas: CAT Prep: Prioritize scoring 90+%ile, ideally 95+%ile, to improve your chances for top IIMs. Leverage your work experience in your applications and interviews. GD/PI: Be well-prepared for the interview stage. Work on your communication skills and clarity of thought, which will be critical. Conclusion: Target: For top IIMs like A, B, and C, go for 95+%ile. For other IIMs, a 90%ile+ is sufficient. With your strong UG and work experience, you’re in a good position. Just focus on acing the CAT and doing well in GD/PI. Good luck! You’ve got this!

      With a 61% in 10th, it's a bit lower, but you still have a chance for IIMs if you: Do well in Class 12 (aim for 90%+). Perform well in undergrad (engineering or other strong programs help). Score 90+%ile in CAT (this is the most important). Build a strong overall profile (extra-curriculars, leadership roles). So, while your 10th score is a challenge, focus on Class 12, undergrad, and CAT, and you can still aim for top IIMs.

      Given your profile: 10th: 60%, 12th: 57%, Grad: 72% - Your academics are on the lower side, but not a deal-breaker. What You Can Do: Aim for 90-95%ile in CAT: This is key. A high CAT score can offset academic weaknesses. Leverage Work Experience: If you have it, highlight leadership and growth. Prepare for GD/PI: Strong performance in interviews can make a big difference. Improve Your Profile: Take online courses or certifications to enhance your skills and add to your profile. Focus: Focus on CAT prep (90+%ile). Build on work experience and interview skills. Show growth in your academic journey in the application. With a strong CAT score and good overall preparation, you still have a shot at IIMs!

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM День назад

      Hello! Based on your profile: Class 10th: 89% Class 12th: 89% Grad: 6.4 CGPA (B.Com Hons from DU) Category: OBC Internships: One in Finance, one in Marketing (good for profile building) Currently in 5th semester (so you'll be applying with some time left for improvement) Probability for Top 10 IIMs: To get into top IIMs (A, B, C), you typically need: CAT Score: For OBC candidates, you’ll likely need 90-95%ile in the CAT. Given your academic record, aiming for 95%ile+ would make you competitive for these institutes. Academics: Your 6.4 CGPA in undergrad is on the lower side for top IIMs. Many applicants from top colleges (like DU, SRCC, etc.) have stronger academic profiles. However, this can be balanced with a strong CAT score and internships. Work on improving your grades if possible before applying, as some IIMs may use academic performance as a filtering factor. Internships: Internships in Finance and Marketing are great! Make sure to highlight any specific contributions or skills you gained that demonstrate leadership or impact. Overall Profile: A strong CAT score is key. Focus on acing the exam, and highlight your internships, any leadership roles, and extracurricular activities in your application to make up for the lower CGPA. Realistic Approach: For IIM A, B, C: Your chances will depend mostly on your CAT score and interview performance. Aim for 90%ile+ in CAT to have a shot. Other Top IIMs (L, K, I, etc.): These might be more achievable with a 85-90%ile in CAT and a solid profile. Key Focus Areas: CAT Prep: Target a 90-95%ile+ in CAT. Improve CGPA (if possible) and focus on any extra-curriculars, leadership roles, or projects that add value to your application. Work on Interview Skills: Prepare for GD/PI and WAT, as these are crucial in the final selection. Conclusion: You can get into the top 10 IIMs with a strong CAT score (aim for 90%ile+) and a solid application (internships, extracurriculars, and interviews). Your CGPA might be a hurdle, but with a high CAT score and well-rounded profile, it’s still possible. Good luck!

      @Divyanshu-IIM 3 дня назад

      pehle toh relax kar, darna bilkul normal hai, lekin abhi hume situation ko calmly analyze karna padega. Stress lene se kuch solve nahi hoga, aur main hoon na tere saath, sab manage karenge. 1. Abhi Ke Score Pe Reality Check Tum ST category mein ho, toh cut-offs comparatively lower hoti hain, especially in top IIMs. Bengaluru ka matlab IIM Bangalore hai, aur wahan jaana tumhara sapna hai, toh uska roadmap samajhna zaroori hai. Agar abhi 35-40 marks aa rahe hain, toh percentile 60-70 ke aaspaas ho sakti hai. IIM Bangalore ke liye ST category mein safe percentile 75-85+ chahiye. Ab isse thoda gap hai, lekin impossible nahi. 2. Ye Saal ya Agla Saal? Tumhare paas abhi ek month ki prep hai. Agar tumhe lagta hai ki aur improvement kar sakti ho, toh iss baar apna best do aur ek backup plan banao. Lekin agar lagta hai ki preparation weak hai aur proper planning ke saath agle saal better perform kar sakti ho, toh ek strong gap-year justification ke saath next attempt pe focus karna better hoga. 3. Gap Year Manage Karna Tumhare 2 saal ka already gap hai, lekin tumhari ST category aur unique achievements (national competition winner) isse balance kar sakti hai. Gap ko justify karne ke liye ek structured plan banao: certifications, internships, NGO work, or anything that adds value to your profile. 4. Safe Score for IIM Bangalore/ST ST category ke liye IIM B ki sectional cut-offs lower hoti hain, around: VARC: 40+ percentile DILR: 35+ percentile QA: 35+ percentile Overall: 75-85 percentile. Tumhare liye safe score around 80-100 marks ho sakta hai, depending on difficulty level. 5. Stress Ko Kaise Manage Karein Har din ka schedule banao: Abhi ek mahina baaki hai, toh focus karo: 1. VARC me daily reading aur RC solve karna. 2. DILR ke liye 2 sets daily solve karo. 3. QA ke weak areas pe concentrate karo (shortcuts aur basics revise karo). Mock tests ke scores ke chakkar mein demotivate mat ho. Tumhara target hai gradually improve karna, bas consistency rakho. 6. Kya Agle Saal Try Karein? Agar is saal IIM B ka target miss hota hai, toh agle saal ke liye ek structured plan banao: Daily 2-3 ghante prep karna. Proper mocks analyze karna. Jo weak areas hai, unhe systematically improve karna. Tumhare achievements aur category advantage se agle saal aur better chance hoga. Bengaluru ka sapna abhi impossible nahi hai, bas abhi situation ko thoda patience ke saath handle karo. Agar aur help chahiye toh bas bol dena, hum ek strategy banayenge jo kaam karegi.

      For a 9/7/7 profile, non-engineer female, NC-OBC category, Microbiology graduate (2023), and no work experience, the safe CAT percentiles for new and baby IIMs would generally be: New IIMs (Ranchi, Trichy, Udaipur, Kashipur, Rohtak, Shillong): Safe Percentile: 85-90 Reason: As a non-engineer female, you benefit from diversity factors. These IIMs value well-rounded candidates, so you can expect shortlist calls in this range. Baby IIMs (Nagpur, Amritsar, Bodh Gaya, Sambalpur, Sirmaur, Jammu, etc.): Safe Percentile: 75-85 Reason: These IIMs are relatively new, so the competition is slightly lower. Additionally, NC-OBC reservations work in your favor. Strategy to Enhance Selection Chances: 1. Focus on scoring well-balanced sectionals (aim for at least 70+ percentile in each section). 2. Highlight academic diversity and extracurricular achievements in interviews. 3. Prepare for WAT/PI with examples showcasing leadership, teamwork, or any relevant internships/projects. Let me know if you'd like tips on maximizing your CAT performance or interview prep!

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM 3 дня назад

      Yes, you can still get admission into some IIMs and other top B-schools despite your low academic scores, provided you achieve a high CAT percentile and strategically strengthen your overall profile. Here's a detailed analysis: --- Challenges with Your Profile: 1. 10th and Graduation Scores: 52% in 10th and an estimated 55% in graduation are below average for most IIMs. IIMs like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta (ABC) place significant weight on academic scores, so they may be difficult to target. Graduation below 60% disqualifies you from some programs like FMS Delhi and XLRI. 2. General Category: Competition is intense, and General candidates need 99+ percentile for top-tier IIMs. --- Opportunities and Strategy: IIMs to Target: 1. Newer and Baby IIMs (IIM Jammu, IIM Bodh Gaya, etc.): These IIMs focus more on CAT performance and less on past academics. With a 92+ percentile, you have good chances here. 2. IIM Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore (LIK): IIM Kozhikode emphasizes CAT and gender diversity, which could work in your favor. IIM Indore gives relatively less weight to graduation scores. Target a 98+ percentile for these IIMs. 3. Other IIMs (IIM Shillong, IIM Ranchi, etc.): These give moderate weight to CAT and profile. With a 95+ percentile, admission is possible. Non-IIM B-Schools: 1. Great Lakes Chennai, TAPMI, IFMR: These schools are less focused on academics and more on CAT score and internships. Target 85-90 percentile. 2. SPJIMR (Profile-Based Calls): They may consider your internship and gap year efforts positively. Aim for a 90+ percentile. 3. IIFT Delhi/Kolkata (via IIFT Exam): They focus more on aptitude test scores, so this could be a great alternative. 4. MDI Gurgaon: A 97+ percentile can help, as they weigh CAT more than academics. --- Action Plan for Your Gap Year: 1. CAT Preparation: Consistently prepare for a 99+ percentile to overcome academic shortcomings. 2. Profile Building: Focus on meaningful certifications (e.g., digital marketing, data analytics) to offset academic gaps. Volunteer or freelance in marketing to show consistent growth during the gap year. 3. Strong SOP and PI Preparation: Be ready to justify your low academic scores and focus on your learning experiences. --- Conclusion: With strong CAT preparation and an improved profile, you can definitely get into newer IIMs or other top-tier B-schools. For older IIMs like ABC, the chances are slim, but nothing is impossible with exceptional CAT performance and an impactful application.

    Bhai mein barbad ho gaya hu. Yeh suno aur kuch suggest kar paoge please? Ekdum dil khol ke rakhne wala hu. - baat aisi hai ki mein 2020 passout hu (25 saal ka hu, is age factor ko yaad rakhna suggest krte samay) - 2024 ko last attempt maan ke chal raha tha, saal ke shuru me hi rodha coaching leli thi, no job nothing. Full free tha. - Ab CAT ko 2 din bache hai aur bc maine ek dhela bhar, ek रत्ती bhar ki prep nhi kari hai jiska mere paas koi jawab nhi hai, sharam se paani paani feel kr raha hu already, abhi toh result ke baad sabko face bhi krna hai. - fir bhi ek experienced aspirant hone ke naate, khudko hopeful rakha hua hu aur himmat naa haarte hue yeh socha hu ki SNAP, XAT, CMAT ke liye full syllabus cover krta hu fatafat plus mocks. Aur usme se kuch college lene ka try krta hu. - Aapko bata du ki mei aptitude wise bhi weak hi hu (quants, calculations wagera sab weak hi hai, English bus achi h kyuki CBSE se hu hehe🥲) - Ab Bhai 2 raaste aa rahe h dimaag me 1) SNAP ke teeno slots bhar du, XAT bhar du, CMAT bhar du aur agar acha college nikaal paata hu tab toh saare paap dhul jayenge..meko bhi "ACCHHE COLLEGE SE MBA KARNE KA" sapna pura kar paunga. 2) dusra yeh ki yadi SNAP XAT se bhi tier 1 ya 2 college nhi nikaal paata hu toh Bhai random college me admission leke dobara prep karu kya? Chupke se? - logo ko toh yehi lagega ki mba me admission le liya but 2025 attempt deke 2026-2028 MBA krlunga top college se. (But meri age ka kya karu? Gaan fattri h bhai😭) - 2026 admission ke time I'll be 27 and graduation tak 29. - yeh 2025 me reattempt wala idea i think tab karna chaiye jab mere paas haath me aur bhi cheezin ho, right? Ekdum prep-prep me puri jawani nhi de skta, right? Bhai kya karu thoda suggest karo na.. Abhi toh syllabus bhi nhi hua hai, kaise dunga SNAP, XAT😭😭 mei sach batara hu, kisi se bhi career ki help nhi maangi hai is saal but ab jab 2 din bache hai aur meri CAT prep ka yeh haal hai toh mujhe self guilt aa raha hai.. Mere parents yaar bechare KITNI ZYADA UMMED LAGAAYE BAITHE HAI. SAB RELATIVES DOST YAAR BHI PUCHTE REHETE HAI..Sabki nazro me gir chuka hu bhai mein. Kaise uthaau apna career? Based on your academic profile and category (NC-OBC), here’s an estimate of the CAT percentile you would need to target for different IIMs and top B-schools: Top IIMs 1. IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta (ABC): For NC-OBC: Aim for 97-99 percentile. High weightage to academics, so consistent performance is essential. 2. IIM Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode (LIK): For NC-OBC: Aim for 95-97 percentile. IIM Kozhikode gives slightly less weightage to past academics compared to others. New and Baby IIMs For NC-OBC: 90-95 percentile. The newer IIMs (Ranchi, Rohtak, etc.) have lower cutoffs but still consider past academics. Non-IIM Top B-Schools 1. FMS Delhi: For NC-OBC: Aim for 97-99 percentile. Extremely high CAT weightage; past academics have minimal impact. 2. XLRI (via XAT): Aim for 93-95 percentile in XAT for BM (Business Management). 3. SPJIMR: Shortlists based on profile + CAT: Aim for 90-95 percentile. Strong extracurriculars or work experience improve chances. 4. MDI Gurgaon: For NC-OBC: Aim for 92-95 percentile. 5. IIFT Delhi/Kolkata (via IIFT exam): Aim for a 90+ percentile (relatively easier than CAT). Strategy 1. CAT Score Focus: A 97+ percentile should be your goal to maximize options. 2. Strengthen Profile: Build achievements through internships, certifications, or extracurriculars. 3. Category Leverage: Your NC-OBC status gives you a slight edge, so focus on hitting the target percentiles. Let me know if you’d like a personalized prep plan!

    10th - 56% 12th - 71% Grad - 6.9cgpa(Bcom Comp) NC OBC Unable to give this year attempt. Due to medical condition And aiming for cat 2025 do I'll get any iim call or not as the gap year will be of 2 years. And what should I do in gap year to justify it.

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM 4 дня назад

      Your academic scores are on the lower side, but being an NC-OBC candidate gives you a significant advantage due to relaxed cutoffs in CAT percentile and profile evaluation for IIMs. Here's a detailed breakdown of your chances and suggestions to maximize them: --- 1. Can you get an IIM call? Yes, you can. Many IIMs emphasize diversity and CAT scores over academics. Here's a realistic assessment based on your profile: Top IIMs (ABC): Challenging due to your academics. Even with NC-OBC, they focus heavily on consistent past scores. IIMs like L, K, and others in the second tier: Possible if you score exceptionally well in CAT (95%+ for NC-OBC). New and Baby IIMs: Likely, provided you clear their cutoffs (around 85%-90% for NC-OBC). Your gap years could raise questions, but they can be justified with productive activities. --- 2. How to justify the gap year? Since you're unable to attempt CAT in 2024, focus on building a strong story around skill development and professional growth. Here's how: A. Gain Work Experience (Part-Time/Freelance): Even a short stint can add value to your profile. Explore: Internships: Apply for roles in finance, accounting, or data analysis, aligning with your BCom degree. Freelancing: Use platforms like Upwork or Fiverr for bookkeeping or financial modeling. Teaching: Leverage your BCom knowledge for online/home tuition or subject-specific teaching. B. Certifications: Enroll in industry-recognized certifications to strengthen your academic gaps. Finance: CFA Level 1, NISM, or Financial Modeling. Analytics/Business: Google Data Analytics, SQL, or Tableau. General: Excel, Python for business, or Tally certifications. C. Volunteering: Join an NGO or social initiative. It aligns with IIMs' emphasis on extracurriculars and leadership. D. Build a Project/Entrepreneurship: If feasible, start a small venture or work on a meaningful project, e.g.: A small online business. A blog or RUclips channel on commerce topics. --- 3. Action Plan for CAT 2025 Preparation: A. Early Preparation (Start Now): Focus on Quant basics and verbal reading habits. Use materials like Arun Sharma, Word Power Made Easy, and online coaching platforms. B. Take Mock Tests (Mid-2024): Start with sectional tests, then move to full mocks. Analyze thoroughly. C. Score Goal: Aim for 95+ percentile to maximize calls from mid-tier IIMs. --- 4. Crafting Your Story: During interviews, you'll need to justify: Why the gap year happened: Acknowledge the medical condition briefly, then focus on your productive use of time. What you learned: Highlight new skills, certifications, or experiences. --- Stay consistent, and you’ll have a strong chance to get calls from multiple IIMs by leveraging your NC-OBC status and demonstrating resilience. Let me know if you need specific guidance!

      Don’t worry, bhai. Stress mat lo, ab jitni energy bachi hai usse CAT ke liye best perform karne pe focus karo. Tum SC category ke candidate ho, is wajah se tumhare liye percentile requirement general category se kaafi lower rahegi. Safe percentile ke baare mein ek realistic estimate deta hoon: Safe Percentile for Different IIM Tiers: 1. Older IIMs (A, B, C, etc.): 85-90 percentile pe shortlist ka chance ban sakta hai, but final selection depends on your interview performance. 2. Newer IIMs (Shillong, Ranchi, Rohtak, etc.): 75-80 percentile pe calls milne ke kaafi chances hain. 3. Baby IIMs (Jammu, Nagpur, etc.): 65-70 percentile pe bhi shortlist ho sakti hai. --- Focus Areas for the Last Few Days: 1. Play to Your Strengths: Jo topics tumhe aate hain, unko strong bana ke jao. Avoid wasting too much time on weak areas now. 2. Mock Tests: 2-3 mocks karo aur sirf analysis pe focus karo. Identify strong sections and plan how you’ll attempt the paper. 3. Accuracy over Attempts: Zyada questions karne ke chakkar mein galtiyan mat karo. Easy and medium-level questions ko pehle solve karo. 4. Relax and Stay Calm: Tension kam karne ke liye thoda meditation ya light exercise karo. Neend puri lena zaroori hai. --- Your Gap Years: Don’t overthink your gap years. IIM interviews mein honesty dikhana zaroori hai. Be ready to explain constructively: If it was for preparation, say it confidently. Agar kisi aur reason se tha, toh apne learnings highlight karo. Tumhare category advantage aur decent academics ke saath, 80+ percentile pe tumhare liye kaafi achhe options khul jayenge. Bas ab focused effort lagao aur apna best do!

      Dekho behen, ab tumhare academic profile ke basis par thoda challenging ho sakta hai top IIMs ke liye, kyunki academics ko kaafi weightage milta hai. Lekin, iska matlab yeh nahi hai ki tumhare paas koi option nahi hai. Tum apne CAT preparation aur profile-building efforts se kaafi kuch improve kar sakti ho. Yahan ek clear roadmap deta hoon: 1. CAT Exam Mein Aag Lagao (High Percentile Aim Karo): Target Percentile: 98+ percentile for good IIMs or new IIMs. Preparation Strategy: Quant weak lagta ho toh daily practice karo aur basics strong karo. Verbal ke liye reading habit build karo. LRDI ka maximum focus question-solving aur patterns samajhne par rakho. 2. Non-Academic Profile Strong Banao: Tumhare academics thode low hain, lekin profile ko strong karne ke liye extracurricular aur achievements important hain: Certifications: Finance, marketing, or any BCom-relevant field mein Coursera ya LinkedIn Learning ke certifications complete karo. Work Experience: Ek saal ka work experience lene ki soch sakti ho (internship bhi chalega). Volunteering: Kisi NGO ke saath kaam karo. Leadership aur initiative-taking dikhana helpful hoga. 3. Target Colleges Beyond IIMs: Private B-Schools: MDI, SPJIMR, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI, or Symbiosis. Specializations: Finance, HR, ya marketing mein apni interest ke hisaab se choice karo. 4. Personal Story Strong Banao (Interviews ke liye): Academics ke gap ko compensate karne ke liye apni life ki struggles aur learnings ko highlight karo. Interview panel ko dikhana hoga ki tumne hardships ke baad bhi grow kiya. 5. Social Media Profile Bhi Build Karo: Agar tum ek side hustle ke baare mein soch rahi ho, toh educational content ya career guidance ke through audience build kar sakti ho. It will help in networking and credibility building. Koi tension mat lo, focus karke mehnat karo. Tumhare results aur kaam bolenge! 💪

      Tension mat lo. Main tumhe clearly bata deta hoon, kya percentile target karni hai aur kya approach rakhni hai. Tumhari profile ka analysis aur CAT percentile requirements: Profile Analysis: 1. Academics: 10th - 63% 12th - 74% (Commerce) Graduation - 80% (BBA) Your academics thode moderate hain, but don’t worry. IIMs like Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore, etc., consider overall performance, including CAT percentile, gender diversity, and interview performance. 2. Category: Female (General) - Gender diversity will give you an edge in certain IIMs, as they actively promote diversity in classrooms. --- Percentile Targets: 1. IIM A, B, C: Target 99.5+ percentile for a realistic chance because A, B, and C give significant weightage to academic scores. Tumhare academics moderate hain, toh high CAT score se compensate karna hoga. 2. IIM Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore: 98-99 percentile will put you in a strong position as these IIMs balance academics, gender diversity, and CAT score. 3. New IIMs (IIM Ranchi, Rohtak, etc.): 95-97 percentile should be sufficient for calls from these institutes. 4. FMS Delhi: 99.6+ percentile (FMS relies heavily on CAT score, so academics ka weight kam hota hai). 5. Other Good B-Schools: SPJIMR: Good academics and profile-based shortlist ke chances ho sakte hain. MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, etc.: 95-97 percentile. --- Advice: 1. Focus on CAT Preparation: Tumhara CAT score sabse zyada matter karega. Make sure you target 99+ percentile, as it will overshadow moderate academics. Stronghold: Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning/Data Interpretation sections par kaam karo. Verbal Ability me achhi practice karo since it plays a big role in percentile boosting. 2. Backup Options: Apart from CAT, consider NMAT (for NMIMS), XAT (for XLRI, other institutes), and MAT (for decent colleges). 3. Final Tip: Tension lene ka nahi, bas consistently mehnat karni hai. Tumhare academics moderate hain, but with a solid CAT score and good interview performance, tum top colleges me ja sakti ho. Bas apni preparation aur strategy par focus rakho. Agar koi specific doubt ho ya aur guidance chahiye, to pooch lena!

      Thank you for your kind words! Given your impressive academic background (10th - 96%, 12th - 90.92%, UG - 90.27%) and 2 years of work experience, you have a strong profile. To maximize your chances for admission into top IIMs (A, B, C, etc.), a safe CAT percentile would be: 1. For IIM A, B, and C: Aim for 99.5+ percentile (General category) to be on the safer side, as these institutes are extremely competitive. However, with strong academics and work experience, 99+ percentile could also make you competitive, especially for IIM B, which values work experience highly. 2. For Other Top IIMs (Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore): 97-99 percentile should make you a strong contender. 3. FMS Delhi: Target 99.5+ percentile as its weightage is heavily skewed towards the CAT score. 4. Other Considerations: Your exceptional academic record gives you an edge, particularly at IIMs that value consistent academics (like IIM A and C). Make sure to perform well in the Written Ability Test (WAT), Personal Interview (PI), and Group Discussion (if applicable), as these also play a significant role in final selection. If you maintain focused preparation and aim for 99+ percentile, you should have a strong shot at multiple top B-schools.

    10-91 percentage 12-94 percentage Bsc pcm 8.9 cgpa. What score in cat for IIM Indore General male.

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM 5 дней назад

      For a general category male candidate aiming for admission to IIM Indore, the competition is quite high due to the institution's preference for candidates with exceptional academic records and high CAT scores. Here's an analysis based on your profile: Academic Profile: 1. 10th: 91% (Excellent) 2. 12th: 94% (Excellent) 3. Graduation (BSc PCM): 8.9 CGPA (Excellent) Your academic profile is very strong, which will positively contribute to your Composite Score (CS). Expected CAT Percentile: For IIM Indore, academic scores are important, but CAT percentile is the primary determining factor. As a general category male, you should aim for: Overall CAT percentile: 99.5+ Sectional Percentiles: Above 95 in each section (VARC, DILR, QA). Why Such a High Percentile? IIM Indore places 76% weightage on CAT scores in the shortlisting process for interviews. Your profile is strong, but being in the general category means you face stiff competition, especially as engineers tend to dominate the applicant pool. Additional Tips: 1. Focus on QA: IIM Indore tends to have more engineers, so the QA section becomes extra competitive. Score high here to stand out. 2. Work on VARC: Many STEM students find VARC challenging, so excelling here can give you an edge. 3. Prepare for the Interview: Once shortlisted, the PI and WAT process will heavily influence final selection. Would you like specific strategies for achieving a 99.5+ percentile?

      Nahi, college ka naam ya reputation se IIM admission par direct impact nahi padta. IIMs ka focus primarily academic consistency (10th, 12th, graduation), CAT score, aur overall profile par hota hai. Tumhare 8 CGPA graduation ke liye achhi hai, aur agar tum CAT meh acha score karte ho (97+ percentile for new/baby IIMs aur 99+ for top IIMs), toh college ka issue secondary ho jata hai. Tumhe kya karna chahiye: 1. CAT pe focus: High percentile se tumhara profile aur strong banega. 2. Profile ko polish karo: Extra-curricular ya certifications (e.g., Coursera, edX) add karo. Work experience ya impactful projects dikhane ki koshish karo. 3. Interviews ke liye tayyari: Agar interview meh tum apne college ke limitations ko positively justify karte ho (e.g., "limited resources ke bawajood excellence dikhayi"), toh ye tumhare liye ek strength ban sakti hai. Chances for B-Schools 1. Old IIMs: Very challenging due to low 12th (67%) and graduation (59%) scores. You’ll need a 99.5+ percentile in CAT and exceptional interview performance. 2. New IIMs: Good chances with a 95-97 percentile, as they focus more on CAT scores and diversity. 3. Baby IIMs: High likelihood with a 95+ percentile. Your non-engineering and language background will work in your favor. 4. FMS Delhi: Very tough due to academics. Requires a 99.5+ percentile in CAT. 5. MDI Gurgaon: Achievable with a 98.5+ percentile. Highlight your diversity and freelance/NGO work during interviews. Suggestions to Strengthen Profile Score High in CAT: Aim for 95+ percentile for new/baby IIMs, 99+ for MDI/FMS/old IIMs. Showcase Diversity: Use your Japanese background, freelance art, and NGO work to stand out. Certifications: Add short-term courses in management or analytics to show interest in business. Interview Prep: Be ready to explain academic scores, work gaps, and career shifts convincingly. New and baby IIMs are realistic; old IIMs and FMS are a stretch but not impossible!

    10th- 89% 12th-80% Engineering - 8.3 CGPA NC OBC FEMALE Plz tell some approximate percentile

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM 5 дней назад

      With your profile: 10th: 89% 12th: 80% Engineering CGPA: 8.3 Category: NC-OBC Gender: Female You have a strong profile for IIMs due to your category and gender diversity. Here are the approximate percentile targets for calls from various IIMs: Top IIMs (ABC) Percentile Target: 98-99+ To secure calls from the top 3 IIMs, especially Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta, you'll need to score in the 98+ range. They focus heavily on academic performance and CAT scores. FMS Delhi Percentile Target: 97-98+ FMS has high cutoffs even for NC-OBC candidates, so aim for a 98+ percentile. Your gender diversity adds a slight advantage in their final selection. IIM Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore Percentile Target: 95-97 These IIMs are slightly more flexible for NC-OBC candidates. Your academic record and diversity will boost your chances if you clear 95+ percentile. IIM Shillong Percentile Target: 92-95 IIM Shillong is academic diversity-friendly but competitive. Scoring above 92 percentile should fetch you a shortlist. CAP Colleges (Baby & New IIMs) Percentile Target: 85-90 For IIMs like Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and others under CAP, 85+ percentile with balanced sectional scores will likely secure calls for NC-OBC candidates. --- Key Takeaways: 1. Consistency Across Sections: Aim for sectional scores above the 80th percentile to meet sectional cutoffs. 2. Leverage NC-OBC and Gender Diversity: These factors work significantly in your favor, especially in the New IIMs and Shillong. 3. Focus Areas: If VARC or DILR is your strong suit, maximize scores there as they can push your overall percentile higher. Do you want guidance on preparing for a specific percentile or sectional strategy?

    Bhaiya 8/7/6 ews , arts student what percentile should i target to get cap calls and iim shillong

    • @Divyanshu-IIM
      @Divyanshu-IIM 5 дней назад

      With an 8/7/6 academic profile, being an EWS candidate from an Arts background, you have a good chance to secure calls from IIM Shillong and CAP colleges if you target the right CAT percentile. Here's what you should aim for: CAP Colleges (Baby and New IIMs) Percentile Target: 88-92 percentile The CAP colleges (like IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, etc.) give significant weightage to diversity (Arts background helps) and category reservations like EWS. Scoring around 90+ percentile will make you eligible for interviews. IIM Shillong Percentile Target: 93-96 percentile IIM Shillong is slightly more competitive than CAP IIMs. While your Arts background and EWS status work in your favor, aim for at least a 94+ percentile to strengthen your chances. Higher the better, as their shortlist depends on various factors like academic diversity, work experience (if any), and gender diversity. --- How to Prioritize: 1. Leverage EWS and Arts Advantage: Your profile diversity improves your chances even at slightly lower percentiles. 2. Focus on VARC and DILR: Arts students generally perform better in VARC; ensure you capitalize on this. 3. Consistency: A balanced sectional performance above the 80-85 percentile is essential, as most IIMs have sectional cutoffs. Would you like help with a strategy to achieve this percentile?

      For your EWS male profile (10th: 89.67%, 12th: 87.20%, Grad: ~60.5%), here are the percentile requirements: IIM A, B, C: 99.5+ (tough due to low grad score). IIM L, K, I, FMS: 98.5+ (realistic chance). New IIMs (S, U, R, T): 95+ (strong chances). Baby IIMs/IITs: 90-95 (very likely). Focus on maximizing your CAT score to offset the low graduation percentage.

Healthcare MBA (IIM Jammu/Bodh Gaya): 85-90 percentile may suffice. Focus on scoring 98+ percentile to maximize opportunities.

GMAT 720+ and work experience for ISB. Leverage your internships and certifications, improve your CGPA, and consider adding NGO work or leadership roles to strengthen your profile.
