I decided to surprise myself and dig deep into my big bag of British Army MRE's, and go out to the woods and cook up the first MRE I pull out. But what could it be? I headed to 'The Enclosure' with the Trangia for a coffee and nosh up.

Mrs. RTR bought me a new scooter for my birthday. The Segway Ninebot F2 Pro. My old Carrera scooters battery was not holding the battery charge well after nearly 1000 miles, so she treated me to a new one. I took it out for it's 1st spin down Southsea seafront and filmed the new sea defences of Portsmouth around Southsea Castle.

Drove out to the harbourside for some lunch of pigs in blankets sandwich and a flavourful mint and myrrh herbal tea, with my portable camping stove. Last time driving the car til after Christmas now, the roads are nuts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. Have a good one.

I would like to dedicate this video to Emily. Back to the magic roundabout to cook up some lovely fish finger sandwiches using 3 giant tent pegs and some kindling to cook with. I do love an experiment. Was good to get to the woods for a feast. I needed to after the last three weeks.

The calm before the storm. The day before Storm Bert is due to blow in. So I thought I would take the opportunity to venture into the woods for a cookout using a Quickstart firelighter, and a Korean inspired chicken stir fry. Washed down with a cup of Peace.

I bought this book at the turn of the century and it is my favorite book. If you like all things to do with survival and prepping I'd say this has to be in your library. Also loads of info on camp craft, building shelters, finding and preparing food and general bushcraft etc. A great little book. The SAS Survival Guide by John 'Lofty' Wiseman.

Back in May 2023 I made a vid testing out some Wayfayrer MRE's that were 4-6 months out of date. Well this is a bit of a follow on vid, now they are nearly 2 years out of date. How are they holding up?

November 5th 2024. Rode down to a very busy Southsea Common to see Portsmouth's firework display on Bonfire Night, or Guy Fawkes Night to give it its proper name.Then when that was finished it was off home for a burn up in my Ikea colander come fire pit and my own firework display. I love this night, always have.

I bought this pumpkin soup mix last year but never used it. It says you can put in what you want meat and veg wise or have it as a hearty broth. Which is what I did. I didn't intend for this to be an ASMR vid, but there was so much noise going on around my garden I thought I would turn it into my very first ASMR. Hope it's ok.

This was fun. Locking myself in the back of the car with the camping stove and cooking up a fish pie mix and having a nosh up with some bread and butter. Lovely way to spend the afternoon.
