Guess What I Found While Cleaning Our Pigeon Coop!
Not cool 😢
Oh thank you for the information!! ❤
Hey quick question, do your pogeons mind nesting next to eachother or do each pair have 2 nest boxes? Thanks
Each pair prefers their own nesting box together.
Wtf
Aunty ji Hindi Hindi Kya Hoga Hindi😅😮
I feed them when their feeder is empty (if they don't have chicks in nests). They eat everything except barley, but I have chickens so when I'm cleaning the loft, I throw it in compost and they eat it. When they're feeding chicks or if u want to butcher some birds, give them more protein (peas, field peas, soya etc.)
Thanks for this video. Glad you could explain it in six minutes while others have to take 30!!
Do you ever feed them grit? Or ground oysters shells?
No I've never tried that before.
I had the same issue with the feed. I switched to nutriblend green pellet food- problem solved. A better diet imo and they can’t pick a specific grain. The birds and squab are bigger and healthier. Love the videos keep them coming
Thank you for the tips. I just received my tower garden two weeks ago. Do I need to check the ph levels now? The food is growing. It’s not big yet, but looks great.
Pigeon are dove beautiful birds
Thanks a ton for the great tips! Would rather use a ph meter! Also marking your nutrients up and down, GREAT idea!
Mine are white so I'm gonna scrub with bicarbonate (food grade)
Pigeons and doves are similar but not the same. It’s like alligators and crocodiles or turtles and tortoises, even dolphins and porpoise’s. There are a lot of differences between them. I haven’t studied doves in the depth i have pigeons but aside from pigeons being bigger, the coos are different between the two species and they vary within the breeds of the species. I’ve been told that if kept together pigeons typically bully doves. I love your coop tho and all the birds you have. I hope to have a coop of my own someday.
The pan or saucer is too expensive on amazon
I adore birds and I especially love pigeons, I’m a native New Yorker so I’m used to seeing them all over. I currently have 6 coturnix quails but I’m hoping one day to get pigeons, they’re lovely and beautiful birds. Their setup is amazing, it’s incredible that your son was able to build that from scratch with no blueprints at all. And the slanted roof is a great idea as well as the little shelves on the wall for them to perch. It’s also really heartwarming to see how your daughter handles them so gently and clearly has respect and love for them. I’ve been a huge animal lover since I was a child, and I’m now majoring in zoology because animals are my passion, and I think it’s always great when kids are taught to handle animals respectfully and not just grab them and treat them like toys. Seeing a young child understand that they’re living beings and treating them so gently just makes me so happy!
Nice idea
Pigeons are doves, they're literally the same animal...
❤
How often do you change the water ?
I'd say 2-3 times a year. I only emply the water when I do a deep clean. I try not to disturb the balance of nutrients in the water with the plants.
I'm about to do this for the first time. With bantam chickens ,about the same size as the pigeons... thanks for the upload.
Weary nice thanks
Over feeding…. Only give wat they eat in a day
Great video and info! Hope ur well! I luv pigeons, they are so loyal to me.
So my freeze hasn’t gotten below -10, is this because in the setting the initial freeze is set to that?
Are you putting your pigeons out
I like the video. Thank you for the idea, it is faster to grow them if I buy the plant than if I grow the seed.
Any update?
Yes, I'll be putting a video out this week.
so simple and easy to follow. TYVM.
Though they do stay with the same mate males will mate hope and breed several hens in the flock.😅
Awesome ✨️
Very nice beautiful Pigeons❤
Nice coop! They're fun to have and let out eventually to fly around. Just be careful of the Hawks. Let them out after they are in for a few months and have raised some youngsters. Never let the coop open at night or all day without someone being around. Safe travels and God bless you all!
Good idea with the feeding containers i have a few pidgeons and rhey always knock their seed nd water dishes over
Is that a vegetable cage you are using for the lights system
I have the tomato cage setup and I've attached my lights to it. Eventually, I want to buy the tower garden light system.
I love that you are talking about biblically clean food! Do you follow Torah?
Yes we do!
@@stepbystepfarming2686 awesome! Us too!
I've wanted to raise some for so long. Have you used them for meat? What breed is best for meat production? Where did you buy them?
Yes we've processed some of our pigeons in the past. We bought them primarily for meat consumption. We have utility pigeons which are a decent size. We got ours from a breeder about an hr. From us. I'm not sure if he still sells them or not.
What breed is this?
These are utility pigeons
Hi, I hope you are able to see this. When you harvest the entire bulb by pulling it all the way out, do you have to start from scratch again with seedlings? What if I just want to cut some of the leaves/plants?
If you're doing greens then yes, you can cut the leaves and it will grow back. I've actually been able to get a couple of cuttings off of just one plant. So you don't have to pull it out completely. but eventually, you'll need to reseed. Hope this helps. Happy planting
Well you know that something's clean if it's biblically clen. 😆
When I was a kid, older fanciers always told me pigeons only need what they can clean up in a few minutes, but I always had too much food sitting around and saw a lot of weight and fat pigeons. In my adult years, I followed the older guy's advice and have had much less excess. This does require 2x day feeding though.
Very informative information for me because I want to raise them unfortunately, I have two males right now and need some females.
How do I clean the oil filter, or do i have to buy a new one? Im brand new, and this will be my first oil change
I'd recommend when it's time just replace the oil filter. Depending on how often you use your machine, you may not need to replace the filter for months.
just as a note: the BEST price on whole corn is to buy it as either chicken or DEER feed at a feed store
You covered what harvest right did not put in their manual or their video. The orange heating pad at the top. That was my only question. Thank you!
When you give em cracked corn they steal ya 📺 😂
You cannot roll it outside in Florida. Too many bugs. My tower is inside with grow lights
17 mins and still at 2100 mtorr
The five gallon buckets you got too many buckets with one is enough
You got enough information there I'm giving you so good luck have a blessed day
Can you put them in the nest box to that's the palace
Thank you very have a good night and blessed day
