I kinda forgot the suicide squad thing existed. Modern Comic book shit has been completely lost on me for a long while, don't get me started on marvel, so I didn't have any expectations or hopes for it. It does sound like a huge mess from what you described of it, which doesn't totally surprise me. Giving what is the modern suicide squad an isekai story sounds super gimmicky and generic to me, and the whole isekai meme trend these days seems like one of those things that keeps making money for whatever reason. Based on what you said about the joker movie, It kinda sounds like this mix of Freddy got fingered and From what I know about it using flashbacks to the original, Silent Night deadly night part 2. Albeit that's probably giving it too much credit than it deserves. Lady gaga as harley is a WTF decision, but I don't think she'd be as annoying about it as what I've seen of margot robbie's portrayal(main reason of many why I don't bother with Modern DC stuff). You saying how some videos never turning out how you'd think they are, is an Issue/roadblock I've had, cause of the few videos I've personally done, I don't really like how they turned out, but just went with them because it's that or nothing. Interested to see what you're cooking up, Your spiderman show video is Great I think, esp regarding bakshi's part of the show since most people ignore that.

wasn’t expecting you to talk about a show like this, but pretty decent review honestly. I’ve seen this getting a lot of merch and promo this year, though idk anyone who’s actually seen or read it, and somewhat curious and skeptical about it. Even though I like Kaiju and Toku stuff like Godzilla, gamera, and ultraman, something Kaiju No 8 clearly is taking from, I also got the feeling it looks and probably is just another generic Shounen action show in tone feel with that stuff added for flavor. It’s one of the main reasons I never found attack on titan interesting to me or saw any appeal, apart from the setting and choice of monsters being unimaginative to me. It’s just something that just doesn’t appeal to me like an Ultra show would or even others like it such as Betterman or Neo ranga. Kaiju No 8 at least from what I see has some decent designs and the setting I think clicks with me more, kinda has a mix of a pandemic outbreak and post apocalyptic setting, former kinda reminds me of the movie, the Host in a way. I also gotta give props to you actually acknowledging the voice actors in both languages and the soundtrack, something 99% of anime reviews never actually do

I always liked the t-rex in Carnosaur 1 and 2. Everything was supposed to suck, but there are some frames of the Rex looking really good in both movies. Some frames. Most footage of it is terrible, but the model was pretty cool and, at some angles, it actually looked great. Raptor can go fuck itself. That movie literally ripped you off if you paid a single dollar for it.

Making an entire movie and not have to spend a penny on creature effects, and just use footage. That’s honestly brilliant genius. The “Shark Attack” series did this as well.

For anyone who can’t be bothered to just look at the date, this video was made seven months before Toriyama's tragic passing. Never once throughout this video do I ever say anything bad about the man himself, nor did I intend to. As much as I’ve criticize some of the creative decisions made with the Dragon Ball franchise, I will never deny how amazingly talented and inspirational he was as an artist, not just with Dragon Ball, but also with his work on games like Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest series. He had an iconic art style which was especially unique to most other manga artists. The man will be greatly missed.

I love these puppets and animatronics of dinosaurs. I know they looks cheap, but also realistic and creepy too. (Especially T-Rex animatronic)

For some reason, the effects team for Carnosaur created at least three types of tyrannosaur that looked nothing like each other. There's the big chonky full sized model, a smaller model with a more narrow snout, and the puppet which was grey and had a rounder snout.

I definitely dont follow the same circles you do as I dont think I've heard anyone mention 4kids in a long time, but I do remember people complaining bout them back when they were still around. I also REALLY wish Blizzard got more flak for the crap they pulled including how they terribly mistreated women. EVERY TIME they get a big court case or something, they will announce a new Overwatch character or reveal their stupid "diversity charts" to distract everyone else with something way more minor. Also on the topic of censorship, Skullgirls got a HUGE amount of backlash recently for censoring stuff in their game. Except most of what they censored was Nazi symbolism, an underaged girl getting her ass groped, and some other needless fanservice. Nothing that actually affects gameplay, and people review bombed the game because of it. Thankfully, enough people countered them to help Skullgirls get back to a good review on Steam (i heard they might've added a system to counter sudden review bombing as well), but it made me realize how much people hear "Censorship" and just hear "Bad" without any idea of nuance. There were a couple of other things skullgirls censored that was arguably going too far, but I've also seen people ONLY talk about the fanservice and like censorship is ALWAYS bad

Really good video on this series, esp in regards to the later 2 seasons. I watched some of the 60s spiderman show back and rented that exact dvd release back in like the 2000s or so. I think the original stories made for the series is what stuck with me the most, mainly the underground mole people people. Ralph Bakshi's involvement in this I was aware but seeing it now, you can totally see his involvement within season 2. A lot of the backgrounds have some hardcore psychedelic imagery that isn't very far off from what he'd do in Wizards.

Loved this series as a kid. Watched it as far back as I can remember on VHS, when I was obsessed with the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man film. This was a great retrospective!
