I did not see any evidence of the parts cannon, but did see some attempts to correct the issue. 2006 Hummer H3 3.5 5cyl teardown - Part 8 In this "Autopsy to Pavement" installment, the new clutch goes on, and I complain a little about burning out my fuel injector pulsing tool, (which I DID repair). After getting ahead of myself and putting on the intake, I remembered that I still had to oil prime the engine, and pull the top back off to do so. Really anxious to get this engine back in.......
2006 Corolla ABS Failure - ABS Code C0210

2006 Corolla ABS Failure/ABS Code C0210 Annoyed by the Warning Indicator Lights, and pulling code C0210 from the right rear wheel, I suspected it was a typical rust destroyed speed sensor. While these speed sensors CAN be serviced seperately, here in the Salt Belt, that's nearly impossible. The "Parts Cannon" was loaded with a new wheel bearing/hub assembly. Prior to going to battle with the co...

2018 Elantra Overheating This is the second time visiting this 2018 Hyundai Elantra for an overheating issue. The first time was for a bypass tube/rubber hose junction leaking. This time, is for the same reason as last time. Slow loss of coolant allowing the engine to slowly build air cavataion and then overheating. At idle and around town it never really had any issues. When loaded down on the...

This 2006 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0t was brought to a local big box "brake and muffler" shop, that just experienced a complete employment turnover. I still do not completely understand what was being attempted, but I amnow tas...

MOENtrol 3570 Valve - Core Replacement - MOEN 1225 B
Hi. I’m having the same issue . Coolant leaking from the same area and the temp gauge just started creeping up today. I’m taking it to the shop tmw. About how much would something like this cost ,if it were the same issue?
Something like this could run from a few dollars, up into several hundred, depending on how the issue is dealt with.
It’s just cold. Ur knowledge on chevy Silverado is bad.. just stop.
OH! I forgot to pull the choke!
Looks like it's time to stop spending money on that truck
Funny you say that. He just had the frame partially reconstructed. and a new floor pan installed. (He could have bought another truck, for what he spent)
I have a 2005 Tahoe. The HVAC controls are the digital type. I turned the truck on and the blower came on. I turned off the truck and the blower stayed on high. The blower speed control didnt adjust the speed. I pulled the 40 Amp fuse and the fan went off. I'm thinking that something in the control panel has cross circuited. This spring the blower wouldn't come on at all. I pulled a fuse out of the panel at the end of the dash, cleaned the milky corrosion off the blades and the blower came back on. Does anyone have some ideas?
Sounds like an analog resister pack in a digitally controlled HVAC system. They are NOT interchangeable, even though they may physically fit.
Well, that was exciting.
Just showing why this engine was being autopsied...
The part you replaced, did you break it trying to remove the light? This is a terrible design by Hyundai. Worked on a friend's car for an hour and I didn't want to damage the light. Had to tell her to take it to the dealer.
The very first time I removed it... yes. I broke the clip. This is why I made the video. Not only to help people NOT break the clip, but to give the factory part number in the event they did break it.
I liked it.
Pretty simple, but certainly saves on breaking retainer clips!
2017 hc 1500 Turns on after a few turns checked all fuses and relays for starter tab is broken on that same signal wire was going to replace whole starter but now gonna replace the wire
As long as you can pass current through that wire, into that connector on the starter, securely, you should get it behaving in no time.
My truck won't start today. Its been intermittent for a few months. Some times it works perfectly, other days, i turn the key and get nothing but when i let go of the key a few seconds later it will start. Other times, it wii not start unless your turn the key back and forth a few times.
Because there are so many different possibilities, you have to narrow it down to "what's missing". Multi-meters, test lights, and sometimes even a scope, is REQUIRED to be able to find the source of a problem. Finding such an issue CAN be a very time consuming process, especially if accidentally disturbing a connection "fixes" the problem, for who knows how long. ("I fixed it, but don't know how" is the worst!)
Does the clip break when you remove the light or did you show that part in case it happens?
This video was created specifically to demonstrate how to remove the tail light WITHOUT breaking the clip. The part number is provided for those who broke theirs previously trying a different method.
I always learn something watching you!
Glad I can help! Everything new is a learning opportunity.

Hello Brazil! Glad we're making it out to you!
Wanna probe my 5 valve 4.2 A8?
Is there a reason?
Good ole Audi carbon maker .
Tiny little bits of re-assembly. The engine is back together. The exhaust is hooked up, and next is the intake....
You don't sound very enthusiasts about working on the AUDI. Lmao I am considering purchasing the same model with compression delete option on 3 cylinders!
It's never fun putting together what someone else recklessly took apart....
What size was that axle nut socket been trying to find it online so I can go but one to repair mine
I think it was an 18 point 34 mm, but they DO vary.
Great video!! Thank u
Glad you think so! Thanks!
Is this the exact same process for a 2002 ES300? I used the video to replace on a 2004 ES330. I now have a 2002 ES300 that needs a rack. Thanks!
It's similar. Check other videos to get a better idea on that model.
But does it lock
It now locks and unlocks as designed
Nice job man
Sad part is that it knocked my steering wheel, just a bit off center....
Thanks Sir! Informative!
Thank you for watching!
Congratulations with 1 million total views on your channel!!🎉🎉
Thanks! Now to turn those views into viewers...
I don't understand what this torque angle business is all about. Never had any bolts back off with the old fashioned torque values. I guess it's an excuse for the manufacturers to sell more hardware and tool trucks to sell more tools.
Having studied mechanical engineering, It's all about elasticity, clamping force and stretch. The finalizing torque angle, is what stretches' the fastener.to the maximum possible while not going beyond it's elasticity. Once a fastener has been stretched, it SHOULD NOT be stretched again. (The re-use cheat is to not use the full torque angle, but this DOES reduce clamping force) Cylinder head bolts are generally a really good example. They tend to SNAP when re-used. and CAN lead to head gasket issues down the road.
@@HouseCallAutoRepair Great explanation. Thank you!
About time you put it together! Just changed my rear brakes. Changed one side a week ago. And didn't change the other side. It started leaking. It was a cylinder , was falling apart. Glad autozone had it ,20 bucks. Had no brakes after changing brakes and cylinder. Had to bleed those. But the air never stoped coming. Do you know why ? I was bleeding it for an hour. Brakes are okay. Thank you very much for your advice.
Trust me.... It's taking me longer to edit than putting it together did... It's been back on the road for a few months now, and not without a few minor issues (to come) I'm glad you got your brakes fixed. I'm not sure why the air never stopped coming out, but I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to have it checked out.
@@HouseCallAutoRepair check engine light on. Hesitation is still there. I have to fix it before emissions. Corolla!
I spent hours on the push pull method. Then I saw a similar video to this but I didn’t hit it hard enough to create the separation. This took me 30 seconds to finally change the light bulb. Thank you!
Thank you so much for validating the reason I do this.
Thank you for this video! Wife’s 12 outback leaking same spot. This video makes it clear I do not want to tackle this job! 😂 thanks you. But I live in Nova Scotia. Rust would make this job Impossible for me without torches that I don’t have. Thanks you so much tho!
It's a challenging job! Without a doubt. I'm actually super lucky nothing broke!
the power cables clap were on backwards.
Yes... This was to demonstrate it's reverse polarity protection (that I stupidly bypassed by hitting the button THEN connecting it. 15 Volts went in BACKWARDS.)
Damn! The amount of rust on that thing is crazy! I have a 1997 3rz standard cab with 277,000 miles.it’s been a Pacific Northwest truck it’s whole life and only has a couple spots of rust on the frame.
I bought and brought home a 1997 Crown Victoria from Florida WITH NO RUST. Up here in Massachusetts.... I have a HOLE in the frame in less than 3 years!!!!!
Great tip!!! That worked for me get this ma. A beer 🍺 😂
After fighting with it myself, and breaking one of those clips, I felt the need to help people figure this one out....
Used to be a 14. Love it. Can't respect a man enough who does this and simply asks for a like and subscribe so he can get more tools. You keep the world turning my man and deserve more respect than is given to people like you. From a fellow shadetree mechanic
More tools allow me to do more, faster. I enjoy what I do.... Thanks!
That frame is in bad shape. You should sell it while you still can.
He spent WAY TOO MUCH money, and had the frame re-worked, cab and bed off. (he could have bought another truck for what he spent!)
@@HouseCallAutoRepair frames can't be reworked. They break anyway.
Hitting those 10mm brake line connections with a torch helps to break them loose.
Once a brake line gets rusted into (whatever it's attached to) it crumbles under any flex or twist. I seldom use a torch (laziness maybe?)
@@HouseCallAutoRepair probably why your lines crumble.
You are lucky you didn't damage those brake lines.
The rubber lines aren't that expensive, and I flare my own hardline.... (for car and truck, as well as steel and NiCop)
I have a 2015 Toyota RAV4, 56k miles. Had it detailed at my house, and cleaning my tires he said you might need new brake pads or brakes. There was residue on the tires.. I don’t hear anything worrisome… I booked an appointment to have it looked at tomorrow…
Excellent! Be sure to thank your detailer for pointing this out! Many signs go un-noticed until they become very expensive.
Good to see you back brother.
Hard to find the time, but there's plenty to come!
Great diagnosis!
This was an "easy" one. It also helped me get a feel for the camera doesn't like glare... lol There should be more soon....
Nice job as always, thanks for sharing!
Thanks again!
Thanks Charlie
Thanks for watching!
When you had it hooked up the wrong way you over rode the safety by pressing the boost button which should actually be called over ride button. When you pressed that button you told the gooloo, no it is the right way fire it up anyway.
Pretty much, but it was when I actually connected it back, that I blew the main fuse in the Subaru.
Yep, saw all the other videos that did nothing to help. This one did the trick. You've earned a like and a sub. Thank You Sir, you are a gentlemen and a scholar.
Much appreciated!
Hey great video, did your clock spring make any noise I have the same issue on my car.
Nope. Never made a sound. The new one was a bit noisy/clicky at first but quieted right down in a matter of days.
So my 2018 won't turn over at all unless boosted. Even the dash lights won't come on. I have a new battery, new alternator and empty answers from mechanics and even chev. Any ideas?
Look for voltage difference between the NEG battery post and Alternator CASE, WHILE attempting to crank. ANYTHING more than a volt or two, and you have the problem.
Good job there a bitch watched because didn't know that the top bolt was even there it wasn't coming off got to be the hardest starter I've ever changed the second bolt was a mf again great job guy
The off center seems to be common. I changed out my rack and found out, after the full install, that it was 1/4 turn bias. Mine was also pushing right ... Which resuts in a more left
It's really easy to knock it off center, as much as just getting it off center. I see fewer and few means of locking them, centered, for shipping.
@@HouseCallAutoRepair I had to get a friend to turn the wheel while I measured the throw. Then centered the rack and took off the steering yolk and recentered the wheel before reattaching
Nice Find!
Thanks! (working on a Chinese headlight in this car too... JUNK!!!!! None of it works correctly. ALL powers and grounds are good in the harness!)
