I went for all the caster levels first and made a magic missile spammer with the amulet that adds an extra missile and phalar aluve for an extra 1d4 thunder damage on each missile plus the ring that adds radiant damage to each missile gloves of belligerent skies for reverb. 4 missiles from a level 1 spell slot is not bad.
How do you have 5 people in your party? I’m assuming mod?
I started my run as a bard rogue, then progressed everywhere else. It worked the same as yours, really, but the advantage to doing it that way meant I had expertise in persuasion and deception and I was able to talk my way out of most obstacles in the early game.
Found out that you can give out multiple transmuter stones to the same character so con save and movement etc... Its a long winded process of giving the stone to a character casting any transmutation spell e.g longstrider (as its free) to regain the trasmutation stone ability, then switching out hireling (removes stone from inventory but keeps buff on character still) Switch back to transmuter and give a different stone Repeat... So all party members can have all stones in theory.
If you use ability drain from 2 people would it stack the INT debuff to 10?
A caster is a he or she, not a hurr durr dey/dem
Loved this video. So informative
Straight to the point, love it :)
You picked wizard last? That makes all your spells use int instead of Cha which is odd since your Cha is going to be your highest casting stat. Was there a patch that fixed this? I don't remember reading about it.
That's only for scrolls
What a pile of shlt.
How are you getting sneak attack to work with punches? I was building a monk/ rouge and had to rework it because i could not use unarmed strike to work with sneak attack.
Dont summons use Dex for attacks? Meaning any of the strength altering ones dont do anything?
I didn't even know she gives an one time Advantage for all skills until long rest ... Still not too eager to get it.
Thank you for always checking in and commenting on my videos. It's great to have such dedicated support! Yeah, the eye is not the best choice because it has a lot of negatives (disadvantage on perception checks which are very important throughout the game, disadvantage against hags, and it prevents you from getting other eye enhancements like Volo's See Invisibility eye) and not a lot of positives (+1 to intimation checks, and it's cool looking). Additionally, Wyll is unable to get this "boon" because he only has 1 eye. Not the best deal, but deals with the Fey don't usually go well. I'm making the video on all her treasures now, and they are all very quirky and odd.
@@QueeckTeeps No problem. Still thanks for looking into it. I might still stick with killing her in her hut instead her lair, since at least it makes that fight easier. But learning about anything I might miss out on in that way (for now I only accounted for Hag's hair) might still be beneficial on non-paladin run.
Ooo looks like a great fight to test out builds ideas, thanks 🫡
Dam never saw this one. Nice
I know this is a dumb question, but how did you do this? I tried to get hirelings and was told my party was full.
I have the Party Limit Begone mod. I got it so I could have a 5+ person party for multiplayer. That said it is amazing for setting up camp casting. Check it out at the link, it is very easy to install. www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/327?tab=description Withers won't let you add a hireling unless you have an open slot in your current party for them.
@QueeckTeeps awesome, thanks man
You can poison yourself right before battle on a Wildheart Barbarian with the Honey Badget Aspect to get a free rage
Remember, disguise your sword wielder as a Gith to receive the race specific bonuses. Swords are stupid and can't see through it.
If you decide that you don't need Gale in your party, you can make him a cleric to put warding bond on you, and he'll actually heal himself.
How do you have a party of 6?

I read, but haven’t confirmed, that if you have Gale cast Warding Bond he can’t be killed while in camp. 😳
I don't think it's a good idea to try (at least in Honour mode). Gale's necrosis is known to be able to permakill Scratch in camp.
3:04 - ever since Patch 6, Transmuter Stone gets destroyed if you dismiss the caster. So Transmutation Wizard doesn't have to go to level 6. Needs only level 2 feature. Edit: Interestingly, despite patch notes, I noticed you didn't lose the buff.
Note that there’s a difference between dismissing a hiring, which removes them from your party and camp, and just having them stay at camp, which only removes them from your party.
@@drunemeton They were walking away, so I think he simply dismissed them. Later I might look for specific timestamp, where I saw that.
I think they still do stay. In fact, in my other playthrough, Shadowheart fully died with a transmuted stone on her. After she was Revivafied, she had lost all her other buffs, but she actually kept the Transmuter's Stone. I think as long as you don't send the Hireling back the Fuge Plane, you should be fine.
@@QueeckTeeps I guess. Maybe Larian made a mistake in patch notes or in updates. Anyway, thanks for showing me that I can do it. At least my camp potion maker will become more useful.
@Matriarchator yeah it's interesting because there is always the comparison between War Caster and Resilent (Constitution) for which is best for maintaining concentration. It is nice that this person can provide the Proficiency in Con Saves for free!
I did this just not with all of them it’s incredibly fun and op I chose fighter for the extra attacks rogue and ranger for stealth and range proficiencies and warlock/wizard for the magic and aesthetic.
NIce and ez. thx
Heck yeah, I like to be able to pick up a couple parasites if I am making a detour for them.
Queeck Teeps, Subscribed because your videos always make me smile!
Thank you very much! That comment makes me smile, so it all works out. The main goal of these videos is to make people happy (plus, maybe give out some queeck teeps)
If I'm not mistaken, your spellcasting ability will always correspond to the last class you leveled up. So maybe ending your leveling with wizard when you have high charisma isn't such a good idea?
Your spellcasting modifier changes depending on where you learned the spell if I've got Firebolt from Wizard, Thorn Whip from Druid, and Eldritch Blast from Warlock, then the "to hit" will change based on the Tav's Int, Wis, and Cha respectively. So since I have a higher Cha, I would get more out of something like Healling Word if I learned it as a Bard spell, rather than a Cleric on. I focus on Cha because there are items that can set your Str, Dex, Con, and Int to specific numbers, but Wis and Cha can only be added to.
@QueeckTeeps that's accurate for spells you learn, so is what's important for your build. Worth noting that if someone was relying on casting spells from items they have equipped in a similar build, then those items would key off the sprllcasting ability of the most recent class to be added to the multi. For those people, saving Sorcerer for last would make more sense, if they otherwise follow your build. I believe casting from scrolls is always Int, no matter what, so doesn't matter either way.
@@YMasterSthe scrolls and items spellcasting are all from the latest multiclass added. Just finished my run as a scroll caster. In case people dont know for martial classes: fighter and rogue spellcasting is INT, monk and ranger is WIS, barbarian and paladin is CHA.
HOW did you get the big frog in your camp!?
Haha I'm glad someone noticed. The frog is a familiar that can be summoned with the summon familiar spell that wizards and rangers get. Then I had him drink an Exilir of the Colossus to get big! Frog is cool because it starts with an 18 m jump (26 m with an Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength) and the Bullfrog Toxin is able to give people disadvantage on dex saves for things like Sacred Flame or Fireball.
@@QueeckTeeps Dammit I thought it was the actual Bog Frog. Still…very cool.
@@drunemeton no, it's just a normal frog familiar. Dang, though, it would be cool if you could tame some of the creatures of BG3
*totally not noticing Power Word Kill in your list and a lacking of Jaheira and Minsc and an additional dot next to you, probably the beady eyed butler.* Tsk tsk. Naughty Bhaalspawn.
Haha yeah, this build was put together using one of the last saves I had in my Dark Urge playthough. This has been the naughtiest playthrough for sure. But man, it pays to be evil sometimes!
@QueeckTeeps I cried when I had ti be evil for the achievement. I reloaded so fast once they popped up
I just discovered this last night while trying to manage my Dye inventory. I knew you can steal from vendors by dragging to that Biggie Bag Icon, so as a lark I tried dropping dyes onto it and voila, sorted inventory! 🎉
Yeah, I saw some stuff about interface tips early on in the game's release, but I haven't seen anything about them since, despite all the new players. A lot of the interface tips have been the ones to save me the most overall time though
The dialog options are insane 😂
Yes! I am playing through a Karlach Honor mode with her build as 1 level in each class... in alphabetical order (she's a Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk now). They keep surprising me with new dialog. I recently drink Omeluum's potion for the Survival Instinct ability. I was shocked to see that there was a specific Monk check option available for centering you ki and warding off the mental backlash of the potion. So far Druid has been amazing from the Grove, Bard is funny always, but most importantly, BARBARIANS ARE VICIOUS! The most common new dialog options I have been getting are Barbarian intimidation options, and you almost always have advantage on these because of Barbarian (or you can use Thaumaturge, but usually I don't have a chance since being so Buff and ragey already scares them into compliance).
Druid is it's own thing in DnD and BG3. Completely, fundamentally different to everything else in the game.
Haha yeah, a Moon Druid alone could probably solo some of the 4 person party campaigns I've done in dnd. Being a full caster in addition to a giant bear or elemental is crazy. I love that druids really roll with the punches and do their own things.
10,000 views! Woooo! Breaking into the 5 digit numbers! I'm glad that this wacky build is spearheading my content. With this many people tuning in, I am finally buy a good mic and editing program! No more janky equipment and free programs. Thanks again! Let's all keep playing games and watching YoutTube!
I currently have a stash of like 25 parasites at my camp. I haven't used a single one, and I'm not planning to.
Nice! Yeah, I was running parasite-less campaigns with some of my friends, but they fell off the game. I've still never beaten the campaign without powers. Whenever I play, I like going faster and being stronger. Usually that means I'm willing to pay the price and she'll out for my illithid overlords
@@QueeckTeeps Thats fair, but in my current build I don't really need the parasites, and I find the thought of using them revolting lmao. I've only played on Balanced mode too, but I'm planning to do a Tactical run some day. Maybe I'll use them then :)
@1337-Nathaniel Nice, yeah I'm very evolve/"sell your soul for power" in play, but I get it! That's how I was with Karlach and Soul Coins. She said it made her burn hotter (ya know... her biggest problem), so I never used them again and ended up having a huge pill of them by the end of the day game. Keep up the good fight going without cramming a bunch of parasites in your eye! Also I suggest Honor Mode, if you lose the 1 save, then you can continue in Tactician which is a nice safety net, plus you can keep the Honor Mode mechanics or disable them for the rest of the run if you lose. I'm tempted/excited for if I lose my Karlach Honor run so it's easier for me to record Queeck Teeps.
Lmao never would've thought of killing them for the parasites 😅. As for the contents of the scene, it really is yet another reiteration of "the circle of abuse", isn't it? Like, Astarion can become Cazador 2.0. Gortash's parents put him through hell and he bounced back and enslaved their bodies and minds. I'm sure there's more. In a way, I feel sorry both for little Gortash and his parents here. But I also don't feel sorry for them because the parents basically sealed their own fate by selling their son into serviture/slavery, and Gortash could've, just, not been a wannabe tyrant, idk.
While good people can feel cornered into playing stupid games, it doesn't excuse them from winning their stupid prizes
Yeah, my Dark Urge was the second playthrough, so there was a lot of... experimenting. Also, not playing Honor Mode is nice because you can always undo stuff through saving. And yeah, the circle of abuse is a big theme in this game. As much as I hate to admit it, the mom has a point, her solution did lead to everyone living, which is nice. But also, seriously, never sell your children to Warlocks! I feel like that's not asking a lot for cobblers. It is a sad story, though. If there was a way to cure them, I would. But there isn't. So if you want those extra powers, and you're not opposed to going after a Big Bad's parents, this humble shop is the place to go!
@@QueeckTeeps they should be cured if you destroy the brain since you tell it to kill all tadpoles. Of course, no in-game way to check it out. Gortash doesn't get such a (potentially) happy ending, though 💀
@Kasiarzynka yeah that does make sense, but it doesn't feel real unless we see something as a result of it. I think even if you spare them, they don't send you a letter or anything for the epilog explaining that they are all better. But I'm not exactly sure. Luckily, epilog stuff is one of the few things I can check on my Wyll "good boy" Honor Mode run. I had, so many excellent moments for Teeps in that run, but with only the 1 save, I can access anything that happened along the way for Wyll's journey.
@tyler.richards1 yeah, the big take away here is: "don't use Loan Sharks who as so scary, that you are tempted to LITERALLY SELL YOUR SON TO A WARLOCK!" I thought I wouldn't need to say that, but some parents don't get it.
That's mad, gonna do it rn
Haha, yeah, it's a very unassuming shop. Once I found the Big Bad's parents with my Dark Urge playthrough, I knew what had to be done. Also, there is no cure for Illithid parasites and they sounded like they were suffering. Plus 2 powers at one place is always nice!
@@QueeckTeeps besides those two gave their son away. They had their reasons but damn I now get why Gortash is such an arsehole
Torch of revocation is a nice damage upgrade from the standard torch for the druid in a3, works with shil
Heck yeah! And what a torch to be hitting someone with, it's got class and style!
"Everyone like Abserd" - Puffin Forest
"I'm a caster who can't cast, a fighter who can't fight..." Yeah who knew there would be viable Abserd builds, I love Puffin Forest
Okay this actually makes the spear potentially build defining
Yeah, it was definitely surprising. I discovered it while trying to film my "All Classes" build. That clip with 285 damage was actually when I discovered it. It's a great feature, but kinda overshadowed my build demo, so now I have to refilm it. Totally worth it for such a cool discovery though!
You must have the key also to work this elevator
You can actually lockpick it. In fact, it's not even considered a crime to the Zent people to attempt the check. If you need thieves' tools, you can buy them from the criminal salesguy in the hideout. I like to believe that the Zent people are just cool with you going to the underdark (and "burrowing" their expensive supplies hidden down the elevator).
@@QueeckTeeps I did not know that. I recently discovered the entrance to the elevator for the first time. Usually I’ll stumble upon it in the underdark and never understood why I couldn’t use it. But I happened to have a key for it this time around and discovered it and finally realized this is where it came from
Interesting. I do think you have to lockpick the winch instead of the elevator itself. Maybe that's why you couldn't lockpick if from below, but you can lockpick it from above. I was thinking of it as a way for the thieves to prevent you from entering the underdark, but maybe it is there to keep things from the underdark from getting into their secret base.
Ok now I'm definitely know what build I'll choose for my second honour mode playthrough.
Hell yeah! There's something about putting a crazy build together for a second honour run, but still getting to see the gold dice of accomplishment being used with the build!
I swear Larian should do a nice PR campaign for our beloved boney buddy. Like I get it, he already got a nice party, buuuut ... his generosity should be known by everyone who plays the game, not just those who see tips on YT. Anyway, keep on spreading the good word.
Heck yeah, Withers deserves all the love in the world. He will literally bring you back to life if you die for FREE (and provide inspiration for the resurrection). Withers is a total bro! Thank you so much for the support!
Start with Bard or Druid to have a lot more skills. War Cleric will give you the martial weapons and heavy armor later.
I wanted proficiency in Con saves and didn't want to go sorcerer first. That's said I agree with your method for actual builds of this for whole campaigns. There are tons of Bard or Druid specific dialog in Act 1!
