    what if i want the opposite as everything i transfer in seems to come as a static mesh but what if i want to select a seperate object in my scene which i am super struggling with at the moment! any help / tips?

      @@iclone3d first I’d make sure your exporting as FBX from iclone into unreal, if your using live link try bypassing that and manually exporting out of iclone as sometimes live link groups things

      @@joedickenson3d Ah i see yes i am basically using livelink in my case i have over 10 actors in the scene and could take a little time to export each one and bring them in, do you know if there is a way to ungroup them when using livelink? i could do the main scene as fbx but in terms of actors i need them all positioned in there exact spots and to manually move them would take me a lot more time so it would be great if there was an ungroup option if not though i really appreciate your help in the matter and i subbed to your awesome channel! thanks a million

      @@iclone3d it’s been a while since I’ve used iclone but from memory there is def away to select them. Try selecting them in the outliner in unreal 🤔 I’ll try and have a think

    I'm using a directional light with the fog as well, and when I apply the fix, it does not work for me. Would you have an idea as to why the directional light will not work with this fix?

    Why export an AO texture if you're not going to bring it into Blender?

      @@thrillhouse_vanhouten I mean you can use common sense and Google to find out how to use the AO in blender rather than making silly comments over something you’re getting for free… Or you know ask for help and I’d be happy to try and help 🤷

    Hey Joe! hope you don't mind me pitching in. By randomising the pscale attribute you're changing the size uniformly on all axis, if you only want height to change you should use 'scale' attribute instead as it's a vector and set min/max values on x and z axis to 1 so it only affects y

I have a question though: How to we get the mesh to natively include all of the additional detail that a normals map would add...?? For example, if I scan an object, export the mesh and 3D print it, it will be missing the added details that the bump/normals map would add to it visual in a 3D model viewer. Thanks in advance...!!

    Hi All, All RUclips videos are happy to describe animation retargeting, but that results in (mostly) a random designation of model to player, his companion or opponents. Nobody describes how to enforce a particular model to the player and another particular model to, say, his opponent - anybody knows how to achieve that? Ta!

    An object that has no features you say paint it here and there with a paint you can wash with water, but what about putting it on a surface that has colors and features will it not be enough?

      @@danielkotzer636 think of it like this if you have something shinney at a distance it’s hard to make out the features it’s similar with the camera but worse, you mark the object to create points for the software to connect together You can try a surface with color features but previously I never had great success with this but that was an older version of Photogrammetry software

      @@recaia yes, I have successfully tested on android and IOS, you will need to heavily optimize the meshes and textures though

    if anyone struggling to find option of converting to static mesh by right clicking it; you can select the actor and go to actors window at top of ue5 interface and then click on convert to static mesh

    why when I build a mesh from a dense cloud. the 3d model I built from the depth map is replaced. but in yours it is not. Do you know how to fix it?
