Sometimes people are just too good for stuff and this is one of them occasions.

I don't like the mix & the tempo varies settling on slightly slower. Very much a tv mix, vocals out front, all else buried. Plus the tempo is slightly slower to suit the singer but it throws everything of, including the musicians. All talented musicians but clearly a one-off version needing work.

We all know that Katherine is away from her usual genre here but she certainly has the voice range for this version. Combining her talents with the superb studied lunacy of the blue man group as "backing" is just brilliant. Its not a competition. Donna and Georgio were a ground breakers with this song here and Annette certainly gave a different vocal slant to what is a unique and simply fantastic track. Katherine here just did the same - and magnificently at that.

I was just 3 years old when this movie came out, but seeing the East End streets and buildings around Wapping just a stone's throw from where I grew up in Bethnal Green, brings back a huge amount of memories and nostalgia. I also attended one of the schools where E.R Braithewaite, who wrote the book, worked for a while as a teacher.

Donna Summers, Annette Strean and Katherine Jenkins ALL smashed this. Trying to choose between them is wrong. Each brought their individual voices to the song.
