A beautiful piece from the Brazilian composer's 1973 album "Le Genie de Baden Powell", played by Gergely Bándi. A friend of mine pointed out that it reminds her to the Pas de deux Intrada from the 2nd act of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. There are similarities, and also Marie is one of the main characters (or sometimes Masha or Clara), so maybe it inspired Powell too? Who knows, I unfortunately did...

In 2020 during the first lockdown, Erik Rydvall from Sweden, posted parts of Bach inventions for other musicians around the world to play with him. This week's #EtudeTuesday is a very useful study for left hand slurs by Matteo Carcassi. It definitely strengthens the pinky!
