Stairs, stairs, and more stairs, but none of them lead to anything except a view of the rest of the stairs.

Really nice job making this character move like a real person, which is entirely the reason it's so engaging to the very end. Animation at its best.

Mostly agreed, but I;m not sure vanity is quite right. Coming at it from an artist's perspective, we learn by 'climbing onto the shoulders of those who came before'. And that's a lot of shoulders! Each before us did it the same way, so it forms a chain (or stairway). When we reach the top and create a new level, it then serves as just the final step for the next genration (who's life work becomes merely one more step). And so on, and so on...

i must write review of this movie.

@Bluzme Nah, i've been doing cinema studies during my high school years, so i tend to get analytic with movies now and then... ^^

To me, this is an allegory of vanity. We always try and rise ourselves above others, and when we believe we have finally reached the top, it is only to find out in the end that this was the shortest way to alienate ourselves, lose our identity, and become just another shadow lost among the masses...
