Then I realised that's what my tongue does as well and I have bad teeth arrangement in general so I didn't realise that the reason why my front teeth are sticking out is because of my tongue. Going forward I'll pay more attention to how I position my tongue.

    Breathing with nose takes longer, also doesn't create turbulent flow of air, physics of the air going in through the nos and to the trachea with less cornering, with laminar flow of air making it fill up the lungs with more volume of air than mouth breathing.

    Fun fact. The body has no mechanism to detect low oxygen. This is how people expire in low oxygen environments

  • @TheJupiter1231
    @TheJupiter1231 16 дней назад

    Actually the two basic triggering mechanism for breathing is Co2 buildup, or Ph drop.O2 also can trigger it, but just a little tidal volumen increase, it almost nothing compared to Co2/Ph. It will increase the rate of Breathing/minute and/or the amount air you inhale/exhale. Thats why patients with build up keton (Diabetic Ketoacidosis) lower the ph of the blood and then comes the typical "Kussmaul" breathing. Your body try to normalize the Ph by breathing out Co2 witch can cause spasm, and its very bad for overall vein/artery system and also for your brain. You needs a certain amount of co2. COPD patients usually fine with 60-90mmgh Co2 level (witch is very high). Your body can get used to it. But its require many many jears. They have normal ph with high co2. Common compenstion mechanism with Hco3.

    This is why dead air zones are so dangerous. Gasses can build up and you can still breathe and not feel anything. The suddenly youre dead. Canary in a coal mine and all that. The birds would die first which was your warning to gtfo. It’s also why nitrogen chambers are considered the most humane form of execution. Our atmosphere is 70% nitrogen. We’ve been breathing it our entire lives. It’s harmless and doesn’t have a taste or smell. You can breathe, expel CO2, and just go to sleep and you wouldn’t feel anything. Hypoxia sets in pretty fast and gives you a giddy light headed feeling. Your brain function plummets and while you may be scared at first you’ll be so loopy you’d forget what’s even happening. Then youre gone.
