I knew a guy that ferried 4 (I think) thru Okc back in the 80s. They were in poor shape. I wondered where they went. One of my favorite planes. I heard they out ran a Lear 24 from NY to LA in a Howard way back when. Awesome post! Glad theres still a couple left!

I know that Howard and the Sound Air Corp pilot that flew it to Wiarton Ontario...way back in 1981. I remember he flew it up from Pa state VFR with just basically an airspeed indicator and altimeter and a radio, by himself. He was a one of a kind, Paul Ragany. We worked together at Sound Air flying two Howard 500's in cargo config. A very tender operation I might add. Up to 6000 lbs. of freight balanced very carefully around a 12" C of G at the maid wing spar. We had a WW2 pilot named Tommy Thompson who flew as well into his mid 60"s. He kept us in stitches with "don't be a coward, get on that Howard" and ..."well here comes another night of Howard roulette!" I still fly, 737NG now but will always look back fondly at those good old days cargo flying piston banging Howard 500's and DC3, and very fortunate to have survived as some of the freight haulers we knew didn't.

This system had been installed on our 2003 Holiday Rambler by the original owner. We bought it as a used unit in 2010. I had never heard of this system and drove for over 2 years before switching it on..... I instantly knew I was onto something great. No more cross wind problems or fighting against the wheel when the roads caused it to pull left or right! I love this. thing! I';ve always said the if we trade motorhomes, I'm taking this system with me! I had been told it is no longer made but I don't know for sure if it is or is not? Does anyone know where to buy parts for the system? Thanks a Lot!

Thanks for your interest.I do not have the flight plan but the video showed it going from Austria, over the UK, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, not sure what route they took from Greenland but they landed in Minneapolis.I was a passenger in an MU-2 that did the reverse routs going from Texas to New Jersey, Gander, Iceland, Paris and Geneva.
