I have been thinking of doing this for an SUV. Also thought I'd take my cordless drill and 1.25" screws along for the ride. For extra security on the drive back, I'll screw the plywood to the 2x4 racks in 3-4 places and screw additional pieces of plywood on top of that to each other.

I plan on using the exterior velcrow tape rated at 15 lbs as well. I see this video is over 4 years old. Have you had any issues with the velcrow? Have you removed it a few times since installing it? Thanks!

Using great care in zeroing my unit it always seems to be 1/16” out of exact measurement. I do like the unit very much. Also installed on a Delta T2 table saw.

On your note of building it in the basement.. When I was about 5 my father built a picnic table in the basement that wasn't a walk out basement and it stayed there because he couldn't get it out after it was built. 😂

The upfront cost is 40 to 50 grand for me when I don't have space for large machinery. So I have to start by building an outbuilding. It would be nice to see this made with a circular saw and a standard drill. Most beginners don't have professional a professional wood working shop.

I just purchased this digital fence guide for my Delta T2. In starting the installation I have noted two questions I would like to ask you. 1) It appears the magnet on the readout is much further inward, towards the saw rail, than my dry setup. 2) I am afraid if I move the aluminum Wixey rail inward more it might hit the saw power on/off switch housing. Did you have any of these issues? If so how did you overcome them? Thanks so much. Great video. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks from the UK, will be starting to do some things with plywood in the future. Need to buy a roof rack first. Then a circulaw saw with those tracks, so it acts like a track saw. Hoping to make shed / Kitchen units, and shelving for home

On my 2013 vw jettta I used 2 2x4 as the base. Tied thenm down real good. And transported 2 sheets of drywall with no problem. I drove approximately 1½ miles with it. And picked a day with low wind.
