Okay now Mr. Bass Boss, but i think i've stumbled on to something Good mixing everything bad? I've got a whole shit load of some junky old band speakers and pizo horns Radio Shack used to sell. AND I've got a Nice Set of 8" two way Tapco studio monitors with a 10" Tannoy subwoofer. Both systems sound oKay in their own way, but when mix them together is when The Magic begins. If i shut either system down, it just don't sound quite right. Why do you think That is? Cause they really don't belong linked together by all standards.

I own a pair of ssp118mk3 at first i didnt like it but once i updated the subwoofer's firmware and got to open up the dsp with the control bass software and tailored it to my kind of music its a night and day difference definitely the best sounding single 18s ive ever owned. And im coming from yorkville & rcf. My pair of NXL24a tops cant keep up.

Would it ever be advised to use Control Bass to make custom crossovers for the subwoofers so they don't overlap and throw off the flat EQ we like? For example - crossing these subs over at 50-60 on each instead of overlapping? curious as I own ssp118 and wonder how they will pair with a ZV28 if we want more low.

My BB15 does not increase the volume or bass levels when i turn up the gain knob. I can only increase the sub volume with my dj controller and mixer. And with that, the SUB is WEAK, My little old FBT SUBLINE 112SA 700 Watt RMS 12' SUB plays LOUDER and Just as DEEP as the 2500 watt BB15. Do i have a defect? I have the BB15 at max gain, and it does not rattle or shake anything in my small house. I did my gain staging like your suggestions ( except i have a mixer) and I'm getting VERY POOR performance from my 3rd BB15.

Or if you need to run delay fills, zones, broadcast mix, etc.

Love the video! I remember reading an article from BASSBOSS's old forum about RMS power. I now adopt the adage "$20 is $20 but 1000W RMS is not 1000W RMS". What is RMS power? How is the RMS power calculated? How many cycles can the amp deliver? I have a the BASSBOSS VS21 and ZV28 subs and appreciate the power the amps put out. Listen to them for yourself, compare with something else that is around the same "RMS" rating , side by side as David mentions. Especially for bass heavy songs which deliver longer bass notes.
