Stopping the Vrod Was a bad move

I ride a 2016 Indian Roadmaster. I love this bike... get over it folks... Polaris may have purchased the right to Indian Motorcycles but that doesn't make it a Polaris... these are Indians. The Indian bikes have transitioned in a beautiful way, thanks to Polaris, yes! I always wanted a Harley, a big Harley, but as fate would have it my 2016 Indian Roadmaster was offered to me by a Harley Davidson dealer that had the Roadmaster on consignment. I have owned my Roadmaster for exactly one year and have put 10,000 miles on it... I will never own a Harley. I love my Indian motorcycle...

Indian has come a long way. They are pushing Harley so that shows the influence they have on the market. I test ride the chief sport and that put a big smile on my face. The new breakout is bad ass. Part of buying a bike is putting your own touches to it. You spend money on upgrades and/or gear. It can’t be helped. Part of the life style. I hope both brands keep improving. 😎

So Indian is a Polaris. Ducati is Audi. Kym is Piera Mobolity. Who cares. Amazing bikes all of them. Soon as you buy one it’s yours, not the manufacturers’s. I’ve had two Indians and have been delighted with both the bikes and dealer network(although I do my own work). I have 4 dealers within 100 or so miles of me and HD just closed two so I have none. Excellent bikes and without question the conversation starter champions when I park up out over any brand I have ridden.

Harley bros want to call Indians snowmobiles due to Polaris ownership but they don't want to talk about the AMF ownership days....

Youre info on the engines, design, reliability and working on them is great for us bikers who are poor and cant afford dealer servicing. Many of us working class bikers use them for getting to work, especially in cities where traffic jams and vcost of cars means riding to work. I rode a 1955 BSA A10 pre unit 650 twin nearly 20 miles each way in winter with iron head, magneto ignition. It was so enjoyable to ride and so beautiful. The old 1930s to 1950 Indians are beautiful and the Henderson bikes the highway patrol used in the early 1930s truely were amazing. The FTR is nice too.

I tried a 1600 thunderbird Triumph. Such a comfortable, well made and so under rated. For me its a great, reliable, torquey parallel twin. Im surprised it didnt sell more especially in USA as its perfect for long distances. Stick it in top gear and it was great. The screen is great too for shielding rider vfrom rain, cold. A true bargain.

Scout bobber was a slam dunk. It’s what got me interested in the brand. Everything about that bike dripped with badassery. I wish the new chief bobber was as bad ass but it isn’t. I still liked it enough to buy one though. Thunderstoke fo lyfe

I absolutely love my Super Chief. I like HD bikes but couldn't care less about the whole HD culture thing. Herd mentality is what I see but to each his own. Long live Indian Motorcycle!!!

I would like to see Dirt Bikes and an Adventure Bike… The adventure bike market is one to pay attention to as many of my friends bought BMW GS motorcycles and love them. Not to mention Polaris engineering could really help to make it more than just an INDIAN brand version, but an innovator of the Adventure genre..

I’m getting the FTR mini for my 6 year old granddaughter… I ride a Chief Dark Horse, she wants to be like her Pop Pop… I do believe in options as well, and the EV market is inevitably growing.. But I would also like to see Indian expand into different markets such as Dirt Bikes, Adventure Bikes and of course EVs. I’m already old and will be riding V twins till I die, but that doesn’t mean every one has to…

I still own my vrod night rod edition as of 2024 it's an amazing machine but theirs alot of Harley haters because the motor was built by Porsche

Ok first I like the work you do your awesome. I'm team Indian but before I made the change i rode HD for decades. Just for a little info most hardcore hd riders would say you don't own a Harley because a vrod is not a real Harley. Just giving a little different perspective. Keep up the great work, I respected your mechanical guts from the git 😎👍🏽 long live Indian!

Part of the reason was Obama Hussain killed the economy so bad that it stopped dealership expansion stopped in its tracks.

Well I traded the Scout for a Chief Vintage and could no be happier.The bike is well balanced and handles really well.even at slow speeds you don't notice the weight.Great bike.I'm 72 now and still going strong!

I'm as liberal as they come and I have zero issues with the Indian brand name. It's iconic and historic! And I'm proud to own two : an FTR Carbon and Pursuit.

I'm happy to own one. An absolut beast. 30000km running without any issues. Flying with 240kmh on the Autobahn is just insane. I love it.

Victory never gaslighted or nickle and dime their customers to death. Harley is not a Motorcycle Company, it's a Cult. And they have convinced their subjects that rent money is better spent on that useless piece of Chrome that's going to make the Bike look better. I'm saving up for a Road Glide 3 as we speak!
