Winter Honey (original song played on ukulele) Themed train rolling all lit up high above, as we step along below the scene like subtitles Bent up to watch the coloured lights trail away, catching the reflections of the carols Tumbling from High Level Bridge, bouncing off the bare coulee walls through the sparkling mist surrounding us Near the coal-mine mouth we fight the freezing hanging to ea...

I've never heard this one before, Threebird ... lovely!
Good find, and well played! 👍
beautiful voice threebird. love this.
So many great songs came out of Goffin's partnerships! Lovely interpretation! Easy to see why your sweetheart likes your take on this song! Nice picking arrangement and performance ~
Sweet listen! I also love the way you mix up the visuals aspect by moving around.
Thank-you!
Great performance! Fantastic vocal, mate. 👏👏👏
Thanks BJK & Happy New Year!
Excellent song!
Thank-you!
Beautiful picking arrangement is such a lovely contrast to the passionate vocal performance! Really dig the song and performance ~
Thanks, it's a fun song to play!
Well done! Enjoyed that one.
Many thanks!
That band name is brilliant ... great stuff, Sir; fab vocals!
Eerily similar to my high school nickname 😳
Thanks! Hard not to like the band name
New song to me - it’s lovely - and a great vehicle for your fantastic vocal! So good - thanks so much! :-)
Thanks! Glad I could introduce you to the song
This sounds like an instant classic 3 Bird. What a great lyric. I guess this can be applied to many things that are adulterated and diluted for mass consumption. I love bees, well I love nature in general, wasps, snails, spiders et al. They are all welcome in my garden and house. Sadly though, honey is something that I’ve never really liked, I don’t know why.
Thanks, I appreciate the comments! Ironically, I have virtually limitless access to "free" honey and rarely use it. It baffles me because I am very frugal, prefer local & natural products and foods that aren't highly processed - so I should be using a lot more honey instead of buying sugar. I don't dislike it, it just isn't what I reach for as a sweetener (I use it more in cooking and making soap).
beaut write and delivery
Thank you kindly!
This is lovely! And we don't really hold for rules here - it's in as far as I'm concerned! Merry Christmas, and hope to hear more of you.
Thank-you and Merry Christmas!
You have a great voice! Love the song.❤🎶🎄 And the little Santa hat😄
Cheers, it's all about the details lol!
@ for sure!😄❤️🎶
HONEY LAUNDERING?!? What a great song, Threebird ... so pleased that you've found us!
Thank-you! Here is the first bit of what Google's AI says..."Honey laundering is a type of food fraud that occurs when honey is adulterated with cheaper ingredients to increase its value or reduce production costs. This can involve mixing in syrups from corn, rice, cane, or sugar beets." (and commonly blending in cheaper honeys of unlabelled origin).
@@Threebird-vj9zu Oh, I SEE ... that's really interesting! (I thought you were joking!)
Excellent song and performance sir! Nice heartfelt lyrical ride!
Thank-you very much, you're too kind!
Second listen here. Love the melody and your singing is soooo lovely. 🧡
Nice, repeat listeners are always welcome! Thanks for the positive feedback!
Superb bring and delivery!
Thank you!
so. so good, man. i also love the sound of the notes you pick as you strum. nice shirt too!
Thank you!
Sounds great. Love the chords.
Thanks!
Really great song here- new to me, but you delivered it! Love the perfectly timed thunder too- tell your gal Happy Birthday and thanks for playing this for us!
Thanks, I'll pass on the birthday wishes! When the thunder started I scrambled to get a useable version recorded quickly before it ended. This wasn't the best take, but it did have the best thunder. Thanks for hosting and Happy Anniversary to you and yours!
This is a nice song for your gal, and for the Season
Thanks RM!
Really touching and lovely.
Awww, thank-you!
This is gorgeous, Threebird!
Thank-you!
That was lovely. Beautifully played and sung.
Cheers!
Beautiful!
Thank-you kindly, ma'am!
So gorgeous and sweetly sung! Second listen! @@Threebird-vj9zu
You sound fantastic! My Spanish extends to please, thank you, hello, goodbye, asking for a beer and the lyrics to La Bamba... Brilliant performance, mate.
Thanks much! Sounds like you have all the essential Spanish needed for a trip to Ibitha! (Great, now I have that stupid Ibitha song by The Lonely Island bouncing around in my head!)
Kinda reminds me of those Cuban tunes by Buena Vista Social Club. I played the heck out of that one.
That was a good flick & soundtrack, must be about 25 years since it came out. Thanks for reminding me of that movie, I wrote my Season 625 contribution right after seeing it and then I left for Guatemala a day or two later.
I’ve never heard of the songwriter. Nicely performed and way to find something a little off the beaten track 👍
If anyone on UU had heard of Bailey Kate before I would be surprised, she's a local. I am beginning to try and cover a song from various artists that reside along the Crowsnest Highway (Shaela Miller was the first). Why that highway? My avatar is part of the highway sign, and in Alberta, to align with their cowboy marketing, they call all the highways "trails". So I started (and am probably the only one) calling the Crowsnest Hwy the Threebird Trail, and now it seems fitting to give some attention to musicians along the route since I adopted the name for my channel.
Excellent! Your singing on this is especially nice. Well done 👍
Cheers!
Nice - would’ve never guessed that was u2! Good to see someone other than Wim taking on one of their tunes. 👍
I felt a bit like I was trespassing by doing a U2 song in the Seasons! Thanks for digging into my back catalogue.
Very cool song - sounds so exotic compared to our usual Anglocentric stuff. I hope Berni hears this - he may be the only seasonista who can understand the lyrics.
This one is among my favourites by Manu Chao, but the lyrics are a little "out there" as far as I can tell. I'd love to hear a good translation of the song.
I don’t know any Spanish but I did see Manu Chao at Glastonbury a long while back, a reminder to get re-acquainted with him and his fab music. Thanks 3Bird 👍
I would like to see Manu Chao live, and would really like to attend Glastonbury - sounds like you had a great twofer!
It’s extremely difficult to get tickets these days. But worth it if you get the chance.
Wonderful. Not being a Spanish speaker I didn't understand a word but it sounded great.
Thanks, I think if someone does not speak Spanish they will enjoy hearing me sing in Spanish more than those who speak the language.
I like your vibe and energy here. Bravo!
I appreciate that! I throw those words around a lot on here, so I hear ya.
A wonderful performance, Threebird!
Thank-you kindly!
Fine performance!
Thank-you!
My schoolboy Spanish didn’t help much here, but I loved it anyway - brilliant work! :-)
Thanks, you're in good company - I can't translate it all, and the handful of translations I found on the internet are all a little different.
Oh, i love this. It sounds wonderful. Your soft strumming is perfect and your voice so lovely.
Thanks Joo! I tried to make this version a little more mellow/relaxed than how I usually play it (higher and faster).
@@Threebird-vj9zu i like this version more
I can barely sing in English so hats off to you for this one ! Very good cover, thank you for bringing it to the season.
Thanks for the comments, and a bigger thank-you for hosting this season!
I like your La Marea. I was going to respond in Spanish, but why would I do that? I listened, and followed most of it. It's not really a cohesive story, but it sounds wonderful to a guy who loves the Spanish language. Your vocals are always strong. Buen trabajo aqui
Porque no, companero? (there's supposed to be a squigly thing over the n) Thanks for the comments! Yeah, this song is kinda whacky/nonsensical, as the lyrics say "it comes with everything and a little onions". I don't get all of it, and it is hard to find a good translation so far. Still, it's a fun song to play.
I was kinda hoping for a chipmunk voice, but this is much much better. Super cool bring!
I just noticed your sweet strap for the first time! I should play stapped in more often.
@@hands_on_lanzonthe strap is part of the thumbnail image i think:--)
@@piekia I'm super slow. Yes! Just noticed that now, looking back.
Thanks for noticing, I just picked the strap up on the weekend. It's a Paw Prints by Jodi Head, with Paw Prints being a 100% vegan line of straps. I've been keeping half an eye out for a strap for a while, and this one got me with its vintage vibes! As for using a strap period - this seems to be a controversial topic in uke circles, I am pro-strap because it allows me to multi-task easier between songs, and it makes playing cleanly much easier (in my opinion).
Thanks! I'll try to remember your request and record something if I ever randomly have access to helium.
Sounded real good!
Thank-you!
