Im so confused 😂 all the solaredge websites suggest only the hub inverters can be used with thwir batteries, however loads of videos including yours have the hd wave inverters like my se6000h. Can my inverter be used with solar edge batteries?

Does anyone compare the reaction time/accuracy of these grid-tied systems, bizarrely my very cheap SOFAR inverter seems very good at tracking and matching consumption, while many of the more premium systems seem to have terribly slow reaction times, this really matters if you are time shifting as there's nothing worse than paying for energy you then go pump back onto the grid for free. To me this is the most important performance specification and second to this is the supported APIs for local control (don't trust any of these companies to support their product over 10years) and integration with energy companies dynamic pricing.

Thanks for this sytem breakdown. My question is that is a 19.35 array on one (guessing) 11.6 KW inverter. Is there are reason why you wanted to oversize that much? I know the extra energy goes to the batteries but would have it been better to have 2 7.6 kw inverters? Is the owner using an EV's also? Then it makes sense to have array that big. The summer production on that system will be great!

You can fly a Done even if it is close to airport, all you need to do is call up control tower and get permission.

I run on "Island mode" for my house throughout the day, every single day with a Victron inverter. The system charges overnight using the low rate tariff. Nothing new here.

I like using the Sofar Powerall 400 volt batteries, €1200 each and you can add more at any time. I do worry if they are as safe, however the cabling is so much neater.

No mention of the inherant 90% efficiency of charging and dischargind LIFePO4 batteries. Or does he have a source for magic batteries? It will put that payback further away than he's telling customers. The trouble with simple calculations to promote sales. P.S. Checking the May update I'd suggeest hiring people more suited to the role a go back to fitting and happiness. Let someone else do the maths.

have solar edge improved the backup interface yet? when you first installed the stand alone one it took an age to detect and switch are they any closer to the giv energy speed yet?

There's a DC isolator within the inventer so no need for separate isolator sola edge are the only ones that do this I only know this as I done the same thing and put a separate one in then my sola edge rep come down and said and his words here, you dickhead there's a isolator inside the inverter 😂

Our system has two 5kW inverters and 25 455W panels in the last two weeks we frequently hit 8.5 and sometimes 9kW there are only five south facing panels with 10 east and 10 west. We also have a 20kWh battery. I would be very concerned that a lot of energy in May to August is wasted on that system.

Can SolarEdge inverter be added to Tesla app so that “charge on solar” feature is natively working from the app to charge Tesla car with excess power?

Looks good Jamie - did you fit any SPD's at the panel end as well as near the inverters and how did you earth the installation at the panel end? I don't see any clues in the videos but I may have missed this.
