One of my fave Aussie bands from my 20s
I caught these guys one night playing at Bombay Rock in Melbourne. Got to be one of the best live bands Australia has ever seen.
Thanks for this post even though it's missing the theme at the beginning of the track. Always good to watch Mark Kennedy on drums. Big Red Rock still sounds great .
Rocks!!!
That drummer right on
Aww Awesome 😊
Still my favourite drummer 🥁
Thanks Jaina ⭐
you should hear ayers rock do it!
This Weather Report composition is performed well by this band. The rhythm section is very good. The sax man is very good too.
very very well.........................................................................................................................................................................................
Same as earlier clip. This long standing subscriber clicked onto this again when I saw Duncan’s face. Born next door to his family we were all friends from childhood until his untimely death from cancer. Good to hear Duncan’s voice again. We still miss him so much.

They were bloody great, have 2 albums..they were 5 years ahead of anyone else..
I miss my platform shoes.
Mark Kennedy is such an awesome drummer. Thanks for sharing this video
Mark Kennedy is so underrated.
Almost 50 years ago...what a tremendous fusion band they were. I still have their vinyl LP....loved Crazy Boys.
Thank you for all of your posts. We were so lucky to have these musicians playing great gigs and LP’s. How good was Marc’s skill, passion and those solos !!🤩. Great times.
One of my all time favorites songs.
Shame the "spoken word" isn't in this version. 😂
Really
Ah, Ayers Rock.
A great Aussie band . Mark Kennedy & Duncan McQuire the best rhythm section in the country in those times .
All those years ago I thought that I was the only person in Australia that had heard of Weather Report....and then I found this band...I have both versions on vinyl.
I saw them record Big Red Rock in Armstrongs over 2 nights way back then
Fantastic. I played my Ayes Rock albums to death.
Miss this great Australian group so much
Jimmy doyle used to give me guitar lessons and let me play all his guitars such gentlemen
The drummer is off the hook! Killer solo!!
Gedouttahere.. Aussie Prog at its finest I never seen this.. Col loghnan.. Supreme

Wow, this just blew my mind as a teen, Love it! I've never seen this clip, thanks for posting!
I have to ask how you came across it. Great song from 50(?) years ago
I've never seen it till now.
Still love this song after all these years. Great band.
Yes, Mark was the Drummer in Ayers Rock- wow never seen the film version of this before
