    “ I’ve never driven a tippy-er one” I totally agree. I have a 2021 and it’s a great work sled but very tippy. I like the winch storage mount. Have been using a rope block/tackle that fits in the under seat storage box, and I’ve been considering a winch as an upgrade. Thx for posting.

    • @ericsmobile
      @ericsmobile Год назад

      @@trabaloo57 what I mean is the snowmobile is very prone to tip over. My thought is the SWT track combined with the narrower stance of the skis makes for a minimal lean angle so when it happens, it’s very fast. Combined with the weight it’s difficult to correct. I have had several slow speed tip-over occurrences and getting a 700# sled righted is a lot of work.

    @Afraithe 2 года назад

    I think these are to far back, I mean the Skandic has a fan as well so overheating the engine probably isn't much of an issue, the scratchers are more for the slides in my opinion. I think the drop you see from 90 degree is the fan turning on more than the scratchers. I put different scratchers further up front, does a much better job throwing snow into the undercarriage, from what I can see in your action shot, doesn't most of the snow come out behind the snowmobile?

    • @oriansinkleryukon2680
      @oriansinkleryukon2680 2 года назад

      The fan does not come on till 99c. And yes there is a lot of snow that comes out the back of the sled but they do work. Artisan blades for both there eskimo and ion lines used to have a through hole and ship with bolts and nuts. They then at some point in time started threading the hole in the blade and just using bolts. Blades are interchangeable I got some of each. There's no difference in performance. Also I have no problem believing that based on the country of manufacture there will be bad batches of blades. Most of the flat shaver designs are copies of mora's design, which is a company out of Sweden. They still make made in Sweden blades. I use them on my eskimo pistol 8 inch. Same blade as the eskimo hand auger blades for the pistol. But made in Sweden vs China.

      I am still in break in period so really have not sent it full throttle, but everything time i have kinda gotten stuck I have not need the winch. With some leaning or getting of and pushing while giving her throttle she has gotten out, even in overflow. It is tippy but getting better with throwing why weight around, and after break in I think it will be a lot easier because I can give it lots of throttle to correct it.

    • @jc7409
      @jc7409 2 года назад

      Like Orian I am still in break in period on mine but I have had it at full throttle for a VERY brief period per the break in instructions. I have yet to drive it in sport mode but in normal mode it has plenty of power for me. I have had it up to 61 mph and had the front skis come off the ground when accelerating on a trail. I have NO intention of using it at that speed 99% of the time. For me it is a utility sled. I have not gotten stuck yet. I did put the wide front ski skins on it and that helps with the tippy problem in soft deep snow for sure. Over all I love this thing! I am up to 17+ mpg now and still climbing so I have not finished breaking it in yet.
