The Bratislava Battery Blackout - Christmas Eve 2023
Просмотров 314 месяца назад
So I finally decided to do something with all odds and ends of my Bratislava footage that I have kept stored in my archive from Christmas last year. This will be one of several short vlogs covering a few of my festive adventures in the beautiful country of Slovakia. Please note: If you’re packing for Slovakia at Christmas, make sure to pack batteries, especially if you’re taking a sound recorde...
A Taste of Winwick, Northamptonshire
Просмотров 1595 месяцев назад
Join me as I visit the beautiful little village and church of Winwick, Northamptonshire. Winwick is part of a united benefice along with Long Buckby, Watford and West Haddon of which each parish retains its own church building. I do hope to visit all of them while I am staying in this area.

Join me for a short jaunt along the picturesque South Devon Coastal Path as I visit Start Bay and Start Point Lighthouse before heading back to Cheshire where my boat has now been fully painted, with new windows and frames fitted, and due to be back on the water and in the marina later this week. I bid a fond farewell to Devon, it has looked after me well.

#kingswear #dartmouth #steam #railway Walking along the tracks that I rode regularly during those long, hot school summer holidays on my BMX Burner in the 80's. I take in the glorious sights of the River Dart, the car ferry and the 1924 Great Western 5239 steam locomotive while discussing the current situation with my narrowboat, some family history and the up coming election.
The Quite "Indescribable" #WatermouthCastle

It was like Watermouth Castle was inside a multicoloured glitter globe that was being constantly shaken by a disobedient child. No one bit of the castle or the grounds was the same, and it all proved to make a wonderful day out with my mate.
The Bridge Over The River Tamar (in my #peugeot205)
Просмотров 1008 месяцев назад
#tamarbridge #cornwall Join me as I make a short trip in my 33 year old Peugeot 205 from Totnes, Devon, to East Taphouse, Cornwall to pick up a second hand, under the counter fridge freezer that is destined for the galley on my boat. In this video I discuss country lanes, Pasties, Betamax, Personality of the Year, and how all roads in Cornwall seem to magically lead you to either the A38 or A30...

Beautiful
Really appreciate that, thank you.
This reminded me of having one of those dreams & you wake up seeing it in pieces & your trying to work out what ypur dream meant by putting the pieces together.. Sorry im not very good at explaining things that i am thinking in my head.. I really did enjoy it loved the sunlight over the hill & the blood effects, the whole thing was brilliantly done..I love seeing people been creative..🤘🏼🦋🤘🏼🦋
I like to think of this film as an avant-garde transcendental folk noir
This looks like fun..I haven't heard of this place where is it??..whoops i haven't checked the description,i will check there.. Some of those camera angles are quite fun aswell they did make me smile.. Have a great day & take care ✌🏼☮✌🏼☮
Thank you watching and I am glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the castle is very close to Combe Martin on the North Devon coast.

Looks lovely - but who was that bloke who kept on getting in the way!😊
Haha. Thanks for watching Julian!
It's those sort of places that make life worth living. Lovely film, mate.
And Im sure if they were able too, so would say everyone residing here. Thanks mate
What a beautiful spot, nicely captured too, this was of course built long before the Toffo, perhaps even before the Toblerone, I reckon they had crisps tho
I'm saying Golden Wonder: they're proper heritage crisps. Walkers have no roots.
They’ve surely been frying fatty foods since the fourteenth century, made from lard and batter though, but they were no doubt sold and promoted by a Gary Lineker type SERF

Nice and sweet video thanks
Thank you so much
It looks so lovely there. I could sit peacefully in that church for hours...but lets face it, as soon as I sat down someone would sit behind me playing music on their phone!
I know exactly what you mean, but luckily for me I was in that church for hours and no one but a neighbour to the church dropped in and he only dropped in to give me a gift, a recipe / history book left over from the last village fete Winwick held back in 2002
Haha very true.
@@oddhauntsfilms It's like another world. I like sitting in the crypt at the cathedral when I visit. Sounds strange, but its so quiet, lovely and cool because of the stonework and some of the tombs are unreadable due to the ages, others written in Latin. It's nice to just have total peace sometimes.
@@videodiva4548 It is indeed, spending any amount of time in one of these places, is a beautiful escape from the modern world
Lovrely -- thanks a lot. Looking forward to the other visits.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment, it really does help me to get my work noticed.
good movie
Good film ..I watched it when you first uploaded , but i was banned from commenting at the time ...good one .
Climate change Biggest SCAM in History
Second only to the pantomime of 2020, but basically one and the same. CC has ushered in a plethora of climate finance in new technologies and technocracies advancing and aiding globalists and propelling government overreach.
Climate change in 1917 with tidal waves, how did the world survive 🤔
Another one of these freak waves today and that sure would be 'Point break' for the climate brigade, SIGN, SEALED and DELIVERED.
Thanks, very enjoyable jaunt.
Lovely, thank you
£2.80 return,you probably won’t get a coffee on there for that now😳
With a tiny amount of almost ‘trainspotory’ in me Ray, I think I kept, possibly still have the return ticket somewhere
Nice one, a good little update.
Thanks mate, hope you and Nancy are well!!
Delightful -- thanks a lot.
I am glad you think so Stephen, thanks for taking the time watch and comment.
Nice one the Major . . .Looks a good crew you have there as well . . . . .!!!
Hats off to you sir
Lovely to see you having fun in good company my friend, btw the trick to mazes is to keep your left hand in constant contact with the side, does lose you a bit of the fun tho, the weather looked very kind too
Thanks mate I'll be sure to heed what you say the next time I find myself lost in some hedges.
Worked on it with the widening as crane operater it was great job stayed in saltash so i was putting in big sections of rd
Thanks for your comment. Yes, I thought it had changed significantly when I couldn't spot the island I stood on in 2002 to film the bridge. Good work all round
Really enjoy these, beautifully filmed and I like the casual nature of just reacting to what's around you without the need to talk if that makes sense, methinks the boat's not the only thing that's getting a dose of rejuvenation..
Ah thank you my friend, I am glad you enjoy watching them as much as I do filming and editing them.
Had the pleasure in meeting George and simon when they visited our village feast celebrations in st day . Genuine people
I used to see George a fair bit when I lived in the bay, not been down for a while, glad he’s still active. I do see Simon a fair bit, especially down the beach front cafe that keeps him busy. Both have said they loved this documentary and are often reminded of it from those visiting the fair. Thanks for the comment.
Class . . .
Cheers sir!
Im telling you mate im a good model .....cheers .
I sense that, I really do mate :)
cheers
Great
Thank you for sharing your nice video. I've watched quite a few Before Sunrise "location videos". This video had a different vibe, and included some interesting information. In all honesty, the footage you filmed in the cemetery was more moving than the scene in the fictional movie. It was thoughtful of you to take a photo of the young couple that they can enjoy many years from now.
Touched that you think so. I was totally unaware that there were already many videos on RUclips of others visiting the locations, so therefore, for me it was a very personal experience that effected me deeply and one I shall remember for quite sometime.
A lovely tribute.
Happy you think so
with a lot of heart at the center
Lovely, just lovely, i miss your mum
And now I MISS the both of you
Great now I'm crying over my kiev and chips it's nothing to do with you I just REALLY like kiev and chips ok? Seems you found more in that graveyard than you bargained for, I know it's been a tough year, thankyou for sharing a very personal moment, this vid really captures the man we've come to love (no homo tho, I can't even look at a mans feet without gipping let alone.. well you know..)
Thank you! In all honesty I was originally hesitant in making public the footage that I shot at the cemetery, as I was taken aback by how the experience affected me and yes mate, the whole experience was a self reflection that hit me hard on such a personal level, so much so that I then felt obliged to include it here.
Going there next week 😊
A beautiful part of the UK, hope you enjoyed your visit.
Lovely video
Not the usual camorder holiday footage I am used to seeing, good eye!
Wonderful footage. Thank you for sharing!
You are very welcome and thank you for saying so Jeremy
Strange.
I can roll with that ;)
@@oddhauntsfilms I watched about 6 times now in total, once on Vimeo. It's certainly haunting and I particularly liked the music and the shots of the flashing light over the fields. Poor guy, I'm presuming he was entirely delusional and these people didn't really exist else not quite in the context he imagined?! Scary because you don't know how people are really viewing you outside and I've met some random, frightening characters in my life.
@@RiaLake Before photographing this Ria, it was no accident that I had just finished reading The Stranger by Albert Camus and I am reminded of his famous existential musing “The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself.” ;)

At times the woman looks like a young Cybill Sheperd.
I see that and I concur. A very beautiful young lady. It was a pleasure working with these two talented young actors. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Brilliant! 😀
Cheers Paul, nice to think its still getting seen and glad you enjoyed it.
