Atom Heart Cross Stitch

Добавлен 17 июл 2021
Atom Heart Cross Stitch was established in 2021 and is home to the original floss drop you can wind like a bobbin!
I started posting cross stitch videos on TikTok in March of 2020 as a way to pass time during lock down. Much to my surprise the account grew in popularity and what started as simple 60-second cross stitch tutorials eventually snowballed into a full fledged business selling one of a kind floss drops.
Atom Heart Cross Stitch grew out of an incredible community of creators, crafters, and true artists. To be a part of this community is a true privilege and brings me joy every single day.
Thank you for following along and happy stitching!

Beautiful first quilt 😮 Looks absolutely professional 👌 👏 😀
Make more quilts…. PLEASE!!!😂❤
Woah! I just completed his Emerald painting after 2 years of working on it! It’s about the same size!
Definitely a washer myself❤
We added the binding before top stitching. Wish I saw this first!
I always 'weave in' the end of threads under something already stitched.
Great job!!!❤
Everyone shows the standard loop stitch with two strands. Thank you for fixing my problem when using three strands! 🥰
Congratulations on completing your first quilt.
Love your machine!!
I need to do this! I just moved and found 8 years of unfinished projects 😂
Why do you have to say words that make you have to make you have to bleep them out?? Good Lord! Just pretend that your three year old niece is with you. Just because politicians talk like a bunch of drunken sailors doesn't mean that we have to. We're better than that!!!
Are the long threads hanging out there the 'parking method"? I want to tey this and wonder how you keep track of the many shades while you work? And is that a thread bobbin they are all wrapped on? It is a beautiful piece!
Look up how to do that with pool noodles
I've not used such a loose looking weave, so I've not needed to anchor threads after pin stitches. I pin stitch to start and end, with a snip close to the surface of the fabric after the pin stitch end.
I liked it so much I got the same from your shop!
It looks very nice and I find your method of quilting interesting😊 I'm glad to see people still making them. It brings back memories of me making quilts with my grandma when I was a child. But she was old school. Using whatever scraps of fabric she had on hand with a ruler and dress maker's chalk. I would help her baste the pieces together by hand before she would secure them with a sewing machine. Then we would sew the squares together forming the quilt.
But jeez that uses so much thread... Thread has got so expensive, im not wasting that much to anchor it, I'll take a lil mess instead
Very clever.
looks gorgeous
Using a regular foot is fine. My grandmother and mother did not have all these fancy sewing feet or high quality threads and their quilts are still here 40 years later.
This looks like more than 100k stitches..Gorgeous!😮
I was gifted a singer sewing machine 5 years ago. I don’t know how to sew. I’m a knitter and crocheter. I wish there was somewhere I could learn how to sew. Do you have any suggestions
I took a beginners sewing class and I couldn't recommend it more! Mine was through the Viking showroom at my local Joanns but I would ask around any local shops you have or even your parks and rec or local adult schools.
@ thank you for your advice I’ll look into it because I really want to learn
I think it is simply amazing! My first quilt did not look that good. My kids loved their's and that was all that mattered to me. I am impressed with how yours turned out. Well done!
I'd love to do something like this one days!
PERFECT!
Lots of waste though. I guess if they are DMC threads it doesn’t matter much
So pretty!
I have only cross stiched a few times but what I like to do is have the back slowly turn into a tangled hell nightmare.
My grandma taught me to quilt and instead of binding it like this she taught me to leave about a 4in border of backing and batting. Fold it over the front like 3/4 of the way, turn the edge in about 1/2-1 in and pin in place starting in the center. Then just sew along the line about 1/4 inch from the edge you turned. Saves a lot of time and energy, and it looks beautiful
i’m glad i got to see it
Do not beat yourself up. For a first quilt or your 101st, you did a BEAUTIFUL job! What are you creating next?
"from Joanne's" damn.. lucky.. I have to walmart of hobby lobby for new fabric.. *sob*
That's perfect!
at the end of last year i made a wheel with all my projects cuz i was in a bit of a slump and wanted to ‘gameify’ it and touch some things i hadn’t worked on in a while. its so refreshing to pick up a older project and fall back in love with it and get good progress!
@@emmaclawson9014 couldn’t agree more! I’ve gotten so much more stitching done in these first few weeks of January! Always good to mix things up a bit!!
First quilt! And working with what you have, GREAT JOB!
It looks wonderful! Don't be so hard on yourself.
You did a great job. I made the mistake of hand quilting and it's been 12 years, i just got it out of the closet and I am determined to finish it before I give birth to my 3rd baby in a few months. Also this year, I promised myself not to start any new projects and only work on all the ones I started and haven't finished 🙃 😅
Hang on thats the back. Its so clean wow. My mum does cross stitch and always washes hers.
You go, girl I believe that you can do it. I’ll be rooting your on all the way.❤️🩷❤️🩷
What does the back look like.
Holy moly lady, this is crazy cool!!!! What dedication, i wish i had the attention span to do something this detailed 😭
This is genius!
Great job!!!
I can't believe you're doing a hexagon pattern for your first quilt. Oh my God that is so difficult
It stops you from accidentally poking a stitch and making it uneven when you sew in the ends
Really beautiful work. You’re so charismatic that you’re inspiring me to start!
Clever 😊 love it xx
As a newbie you did a fine job. You will learn the more you do it.
Cross stitching is like witchcraft to me, i just can't wrap my mind around it😢
