The Garden Bed Project that Never Ends
Where did u get foodsaver and which one. There is 2 at my Walmart
Excellent idea thanks
Never thought to blanch cabbage. I know when I've froze some before it smelled awful thawing. How do you use yours. As a side or in a recipe with other ingredients? I'm hoping to make sauerkraut. There's a good recipe for it at black gumbo. The broccoli. Wow. Last night I harvested ours because it started to show a yellow flower and also noticed one had a tiny green worm. Was just about to decide not to grow broccoli anymore. Then we cooked it. My husband wasn't hungry. Hah! But it was so delicious he ate half of the bowl .. Left me 'some'. 😅 Guess next year we dedicating a new area to broccoli. I try to eat fresh as much as possible but would like to know what you think of your frozen meals when you do them. 😊
Wow những cây bắp cải của bạn thật tuyệt vời ,chúng khá to lớn .
Poor Squish Squash. But at least he made a squash, so if you save the seed, his babies can live on this fall or next spring.
That is an awesome idea!
New subscriber here. I seen the Hollar Homestead a couple years back talking about their walking onions. Maybe it was them? I’m in 9a, Panhandle of Florida. I’m starting my fall garden in a week, we harvested two pumpkins today from the spring season. Excited to have food for our pantry.
Thanks for subbing! I need to get some seeds going for fall!
Awwww😢, so sad. I watched you pick him. He lived up to his name. Good bye Squish Squash.
He really enjoyed the ride!
Oh nice. Sorry you haven't had rain. We've had quite a bit, enough to split a few tomatoes but now we're back to extreme temperature swings and less rain. A bit nicer Hope you get rain soon. 🙏👍🇨🇦😊
Sometimes I wish I was up north! We are expecting rain the next two days! Fingers crossed!!!
I did subscribed, lovely garden you have there!
Thanks and welcome
would love some walking onions, you have lots of 'em!
Send me an email and we will see what we can do! yeahthatguy247@gmail.com
That's great that you have so many pickles already. I had 6 plants started.... Didn't come up. So I bought a pot with 9 in them. One survived the bugs and squirrels. So bought a four pack and also planted seeds again. Two of the plants have survived the squirrels so far, and 3 of mine from seed. Not sure I'll get any cucumber at this rate. Might just buy some and do pickles anyway. We use the slices for burgers so going to do some of those 😊. Never heard of the picking packs you're using. Sounds tasty. 👍😊🇨🇦
Those packs make it so easy to do!
Đua leo của bạn rất tốt 👍 .
Thank you so much for your kind words!
The garden looks great, man. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Great video! I subscribed, and I'd love a few bulbs if you have some to share.
Thanks for the sub! Send me an email and we will see what we can do! yeahthatguy247@gmail.com
I pickle mine.
I really need to tr that!
Hey there, great video on your walking onions. I subscribed to your channel and have always wanted to grow Egyptian walking onions. I live in Washington state and would love to grow your onions here out west! Thank you.
Thanks for the sub! Send me an email and we will see what we can do! yeahthatguy247@gmail.com
They are everywhere!!!!
I'm in Calgary zone 3b, I've been growing a patch of these for the last few years. I love how hardy they are, this year they were starting under 6 inches of snow! About the first thing to appear each year. I hadn't thought of dehydrating to make onion powder, will give it a try, thanks!
These things grow like crazy! They are very hardy!!!
I know that the 'bulblets; are sharper-flavored than the bottom bulb. Still, I usually give them to neighbors of our Milwaukee (Zone 5b) community garden - sort of Intro to Green Thumb' starter plant. Who doesn't need something that looks like it came directly from Outer Space? If the plants are left to winter-over, the bulbs get significantly larger. Flavor-reviews still pending.
I’ve never tried the little guys just gave em away…. Thanks for watching!
Would they make nice pickled onions?
The bulblets beg to be pickled and start with a more-intense flavor. But I give 5them away.
That’s a great idea!!!
Our 42-Day tomatoes have been going full force, Tiny Tim’s too. Glad yours are starting to produce. 👍🏻
They are small but they are orange!
@@CrocGardener they are almost at the finish line. lol
I'm in Iowa will buy some from you
I planted some but not coming up yet about 2 was ago
2 weeks

Do you have instagram? I can dm you there. I gotta figure out how to dm people on RUclips.

Nice. I have it everywhere also 😊 Thanks for showing how you harvest. I've not tried to yet because it seemed too daunting a chore she also I have so many beneficial insects always on them. It seems cruel. 😢 Can you make the tea from fresh chamomile? My dehydrator is a cheepo and would probably take many days since it takes a few cycles just to do thin herb leaves. O also don't drink it that often.
It is very tedious! They smell wonderful! Kidcroc comes by the dehydrator and opens the door for free smells!
That's a great idea. After using a dehydrator myself I was curious as to how long this were going to take especially since it takes such a long time for my machine to do really thin leaves. As for the scrapes😢 mine were full of little insects. Lost them all. Going to have to research to find out what they were cause I was sooo looking forward to frying mine.
I’m worried about my bulbs…. Hope they are big enough we are lacking rain here
@@CrocGardener you can have some of our weather.... It has been raining so much lately that my neighbors pear tree is surrounded by water and the front of our properties is higher than the back.
We have 5 and 1/4 trellises this year. We used fencing wire and t-posts. The two outer trellises are beans and peas with herbs, Johnny jump-ups, allysum, borage and sunflowers close by. The inner trellis is all tomatoes, peppers, herbs, allysum and John's jump-ups. The end trellis has peas, tomatoes and cucumbers. One trellis is all raspberries and the 1/4 trellis is my husband John's fav beefsteak tomato with a few companions. After watching you talk about😊 using sunflowers as a trellis, and since I accidently left a package of peas in the pouring rain, voila, the sunflowers have a new occupation. Can't wait to see how well they do. Thanks for the idea.
Awesome!!!!
Your tomatoes look great, way better than mine.
Thanks but the heat is setting in now and we haven’t had rain for weeks!
@@CrocGardener 🤦♂️🤦♂️ o no... and we've had too much rain. 🤯
wow nice. Such unusual shapes. Go team Chad! All mine are doing great and even this morning what looked like dead flowers on the tomato challenge is actually a teensy weensy little baby tomato! 👍😀I got so excited but will definitely not be winning any contests with that😂. May the best....ehhem! Team Chad! tomato grower win!
Very informative. It answered a lot of my questions about comfrey.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Poor Dinali Daisy. She needs a relocation maybe?
I think the broccoli is done. Maybe it needs to go…
@@CrocGardener of course!😊
Great job. Squish squash looks awesome.
Just like his planter!
Go team Chad!
That squash looks great🤤🤤
It’s gonna be yummy! We will see if he eats it!
Go Squish Squash!!!
It’s not near as big as the other ones we planted later but he is proud of it!
I love growing up!
It’s the way to go!
Flowers?! Oh yeah! First ones to come up were the carrots from last year. Beautiful. Even saved some seeds but then found out that if you have queen Anne's Lace around then your carrot seeds may be more weed than carrot. Have to test that batch in a container. Then also have bok Choi and a few other greens that I left go to seed. The second volunteers were all the sunflowers. Found out that they can stunt the growth of plants and sure enough left two too close to my tomato challenge and it's the only tomato plant without tomatoes! So they are in the process of being relocated.😢 Flowers and herbs so far IN the garden are chamomile, poppies, Johnny jump-ups, summer savory, dill, borage, and alyssum (all volunteers) and bought some herbs to add. Bought some flowers to add and created a little area running alongside the trellises for geraniums and assorted flowers. It's a beautiful oasis! Love meandering through it all. Having a great wave right now so bought a 90° shade cloth to drape over everything.😢
I never thought of cross pollination with the carrots. That’s a good point!
Wow lots of fowers!
I love em!
Excellent!
Thanks
Roasted beets are a lot better with balsamic vinegar and you can use the greens in smoothies.
Good to know! Maybe I will try them! I do have some seeds left….
Just wanted to give everyone an update!
Hey I never got an these notifications! From here onwards. Just thought I'd check to see if you'd posted anything. RUclips is not doing it's job very well. You're cabbages are nice. Mine are still very small. Your garden is looking great.
I need to get out and harvest these bad boys! Odd about the notifications….
I’m trying squash vertically this year . Your garden is looking good 👍

That’s so awesome, I would love to go to BC, but I would grow broke. lol. Enjoy y’all’s vacation, great video. 👍🏻
Thanks so much!
I use chamomile tea enemas for the health benefits.
Awesome!
@CrocGardener I have loved using chamomile tea enemas, coffee enemas, herbal tea enemas, oil enemas, and water enemas since 1995.
Tea!!!!
Gonna be awesome!
Lots of Chamomile!
I’ve got more out there too!
I just planted my first cuttings of comfrey this spring. Planted in pots until established and have now transplanted into the gardens edge. Looking forward to mulching my garden and composting it. Good video, keep them coming
Thanks! You should be able to split these as they get older! Turn one into many!
