Me watching this already doing some cool vfx before my donut tutorial. Still got some cool reactions from my friends. its not that hard (though I know the more complicated it gets the harder it probably will get.) I'll probably see what this donut tutorial series is about.
Hi, German "old" fellow guy here, but commenting in english for all: I commented like this under a few videos, but here it has to be again: I'm 45 now and this video was very uplifting and what I've been needing. I know it sound so dumb, but wait 30 years and you'll understand my comment really. I would call myself a nerd from the early days on and in the whole spectrum of IT, having done lots of stuff in Cinema4D, 3DSMAX, Maya, but that's over 20 years ago and now I see all this stuff like the dude in the next comment said and I'm so fkn overwhelmed. And then I see all these young guys like you, who know this stuff and have it learned already and I remember myself having been like that too, but lost track in this one of the most liked parts of IT and art. And then, I think about having fkd up in life, because I'm too late or if I can still do this and maybe have a slight advantage to complete beginners. Well, I know, that was more of a depressing comment, maybe. But, take it as an uplifting comment as your video did so to me. Thank you very much and think about this day in 30 years again, when you're hopefully living a good and healthy life. 🙂But I'm pretty sure, I'll comment again another video in the meanwhile. 😀
what do you mean by select 0 how do you do it 4:33. thanks
Just press 0 on the num pad
my brain hurts

I love you
animation option isn't showing to me, Is there any solution??
Are you using the newest version?
10/10 ur inspirational
Make more content on superhero stuffs.
Ahh great work
THANKS DUDE REALLY HELP ME A LOT! ❤
Make real gost with cgi video
isn't it important to learn basics of video editing before jumping into the world of vfx???
Knowing video editing will definitely help you, but it's not necessary
Thankyou for sharing valuable knowledge
Its this gragon model absolutly free or not??
Yes, it's free! But you have to give credit when you want to upload it to social media
@@BSPStudios i want download only free 3d models not pay models
@@BSPStudios i want 3d models using only to adobe after effects im beginner to learn vfx
Then you can download it for free, no worries
@@BSPStudios how i contakt you?
100❤
😂AI must shape up the VFX and CGIs to make visuals a lot of fun.
Bro, can you explain what a 3D tracker camera is used for? because I see you're not using it for the dragon.
As we have a moving shot, we need to use the camera tracker to make the dragon stick to one place. Otherwise our animation would look off as the dragon would be shifting in weird directions
@BSPStudios thanks bro, I'm waiting for your next video
tutorial
You help me a lot getting inspiration
Hi, love your content. I have a question can you render it in eevee? And could you do vfx with a glowing object (with bloom)
Some shots can be done with EEVEE but for VFX it's mostly not realistic enough. The metal material of the car for example will definitely not render in a realistic way
@@BSPStudios thanks!
you´re young but already so good👍
I don't think it would fully replace things. It can only understand so much, sometimes what's in your mind has to be done the original way, it just will help to make that easier.
Is it the germany accent?
Yes, it is xD
Man you doing such a great job, thank you so much
best long
Which laptop you can recommend? For vfx and 3d
More superhero content please
Bro nice video
My Debts Clear!!!!!
thank you, this video helps a lot,
when importing my blender 3d asset to after effect, but when i do export in obj/glb/gltf file i have a white wall at the back and down of my asset, on top on that my asset is full white, with no textures and colors on, and yes i use the last version of AE

Awesome brother, thanks a lot.
Día vici resovel
hello, why no lights environment in my AE 24.4.1 ? help me
That explosion in the opening tells me that someone still needs to have a course on composting and some Houdini to add some interactive CG for the dirt hits 😂 and for compositing Israel Nuke it Davinci Fusion (I start to really like the latter and that coming from a 16 year long Nuke user).
Sure, I still got a lot to learn, which is why this video is only about how to start learning VFX
@@BSPStudios you probably do not have a nuke license but natron is basically a nuke clone (nuke without 3D compositing). And of course Davinci Fusion is also a node based compositor. Node based compositors allow a far more organized (and reusable) way to composite shots compared to AE. AE is great for motion graphics but large composites really becomes a headache. And Nuke is the defacto standard compositor, so if you’d go into VFX professionally understanding node based compositors is a definite headache start. Good luck in your VFX quest! Coming form a former professional VFX artist (compositor, technical director)
Yeah, I see the advantages of Nuke and also definitely want to test it in the future. But for now I'm sticking with AE, as I don't fully agree that AE is only good for motion graphics
@@BSPStudios oh you can achieve pretty much anything compositing wise in AE as well. The problem is that soon you have many nested comps and then finding where something is can become challenging. And when you have a similar shot it’s hard to exchange the source footage. With nuke, natron Or Davinci you just point to the different footage and it all works. Which can increase your efficiency. Also using OpenEXR out of the box (perhaps AE by now supports that too, you used to need to have a plugin) and route the channels is really powerful and clean. But for small comps with few render layers AE does fine too.
I totally agree, if you have big comps with a lot of pre comps in it, everything can become really messy and hard to keep track of. OpenEXR has now native support though
How can I Download the 360 camera?
You can download the 360 image with the first link in the description
3:55 No, After Effects can't do what Nuke can. Not even close. Fusion and Nuke are way ahead, when it comes to compositing. AE is only really strong for motion graphics. The engine runs in 2.5D, while Fusion and Nuke use a 3D engine.
dude just opens my eye about how it should be fun and not just stick to one course , and how we should do our scene without the guilt of skippin whatever source we're learning from
i've updated my after effect today: 24.4.1, but still can't animate the dragon, please help me... (I cant see Betha Version)
I just tried it and it works for me with the exact same version. Did you import one of the supported file types?
Amazing video. The only video if you ask me that addresses the first and major problem for wannabe digital artists, where to start, there is houdini and nuke which is industry standard, there is zbrush, there is maya, there is redshift, now unreal is getting ahead, you watch so many cgi car chase videos made in so many softwares, and are confused what to learn. This video nails the coffin of confusion. BLENDER! the software has come so far, and you can learn everything there, animation, sculpting, cloth simulation, effects, liquids simulations, everything in one spot, then you can shift to softwares that are specifically designed for each process. You can then model and design characters in zbrush, add effects in houdini, animate models in blender/maya, render your scene in unreal then composite on nuke or fusion with real footage. But before ALL this, you learn each of these basics at one spot which is blender. Amazing work my man!
That's exactly the point, thanks a lot for your comment!
