Pre season DOES MATTER, especially couple wks out. Manager wants to play against other teams to find out, what systems works best & WHO plays it best. The BETTER the opponents the more boxes it ticks for the manager. I know Terell Thomas said, "I expected more from St Mirren".

At Fleetwood, Joe Garner was by far our best striker 2 seasons ago, that man along side Ellis Harrison kept Fleetwood in league One, Garner is one quality player, when Ryan joined town on loan from Leeds, he didn’t play much and looked by far out of his depth in League One that year, possibly one of the worst players I’ve seen in a Fleetwood Shirt, I don’t know how he’s getting one now but the last time he was in League One, he couldn’t hack it
