My mustang was a V6 originally. The v6 mustang has vacuum assisted barking. I used the stock brake booster and power steering pump and setup for the V6.

It's holding up fine. I've had a few small problems with it like injector wiring plug coming loose and I had some EMI (electromagnetic interference) issues. I fixed the EMI issues by installing ferrite magnets around the Holley wiring harness. Over all, I would still recommend this product. I've used this setup on a dual plane intake and have had some AFR split issues between cylinder banks as well. This system would work best with a signal plane intake manifold.

This is a non gutted cage so you can keep your windows and electronics in the door. The door bars on the cage will still require you to cut the door card at the bottom but you won't have to take out your windows.

The car is worth every penny in my opinion but i really wanted a mix of luxury and speed. There are way better just speed/performance options in this price range. Choose wisely ;) go rent one to help you decide. Once you drive a blackwing it is hard to walk away.

As an owner for manual version of this car I’d say a hard no. Your Z is far more special and analog.

In a perfect world, keep that Z06 and get the CT4 BW to drive daily. Best Of both worlds!

@ Lacks character and you really can’t hear it from inside the car that well. It’s fine really, but not exciting. I love V8’s, but I think an old school classic BMW inline 6 sounds much better and even the old Grand Nationals. The OG turbo 6. :-)

Best sounding V6 I’ve ever owned by far. Sounds very good in person, maybe video doesn’t do it justice. I own a 23’ BW with manual transmission, absolutely love it

Its because it deletes 2 of the 4 o2 sensors. This is just lack of research on your part.

@@ah4800 NO, it does NOT "delete 2 of the 4 O2 sensors." It relocates them further down than GM designed them to be placed. And I only have a code P1153 "Insufficient switching bank 2 sensor 1." If I had inadvertently "deleted 2 of the 4 O2 sensors." by placing them further back, why wouldn't I have the same code for bank 1???? I need to simply check for an exhaust leak. The ONLY other possibility is my o2 sensors are NOT getting hot enough because they are too far down stream and in that location the O2 sensors built in heaters are not heating them up enough so it is causing a lean mixture that is causing the computer to add more fuel causing the car to run rich. By the way I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!!!!!

@ricksteelcustoms3196 the rear 2 o2 sensors should be used in the front and 2 fronts are deleted and then yes you need a tune to prevent it from running rich. If you did 10 mins of research before installing headers you'd know this.

@@ah4800 NO, I am still running Cats. The only way for the cars computer to run properly is to get exhaust samples from both upstream and downstream 02 sensors. If YOU had any knowledge whatsoever of what you're talking about you'ed know this........

I've had two 351w before this one that were at 11:1 compression. This is my drift car. Even with conservative ignition timing and 93 octane gas both engines failed due to detonation. I went with a lower compression this time 9.3:1 in a quest for durability. I run this car hard as my drift car. High RPM, lots of heat soak from back to back laps on the track. I was willing to give up power for durability.

I was running a Holley 750cfm double pumper with mechanical secondaries. If I could do it again I'd try a 650cfm carb. I changed to EFI because I wanted the ability to datalog and have more control over my ignition advance throughout the whole rpm range.

@ ok thanks! Im debating on carb or efi. I like the simplicity of carb but now that you mention all of the benefits of efi i might go down that road. Thanks again I really appreciate your it. No, the car won't "need" a tune. It will run just fine without a tune. However, in order to take full advantage of the new parts you just purchased a tune would be required. A tune would unlock the extra power this modification provides you with.

If you want to use OEM off the shelf engine mounts. Yes you have to change the k member to a 94-95 mustang GT k member. I'm not sure what automatic transmissions work with a 351w. I've only researched manual trans setups

That's a C/R for street and can run 87 octane. From the factory was 9:1. Pushrods typical only go as high as 10.3:1 by design under 93octane. The newer engines can go higher C/R due to better cylinder head design (4V) and even higher from DI.

I chose to do 9.2:1 compression for durability reasons. I'll add nitrous later. This is my drift car. My last two engines were 11:1 and they blew up from heat.

That’s about right for a mild 351 unfortunately, it’s old technology. It’ll be plenty to get him sideways though lol

Yes haha our mustang started life as a V6 automatic in 2003. We have basically turned every single nut and bolt on this car lol now it's a 5.8L V8 5-Speed manual transmission XD
