    Hello, Rokon is cool. Rokon say's you can add fuel storage by filling your tires with fuel ? have you done this and what kind of pumping system is it.

    • @ThrottleWorks
      @ThrottleWorks Месяц назад

      @billjames3148 What they mean is the rims are hollow to allow you to fill them with fuel or water. Each wheel is capable of holding about 2.5 gallons. And it's not directly tied to the fuel system, you would have to carry a pump to transfer the fuel from the wheel into the fuel tank.

    I bought the trail breaker with the side car new in 2004. the bike is a beast. Here is one example I once recovered an elk that was 200 yards off the side of a logging skid trail. It was so steep that two of us slid down the hill with both brakes fully locked on the bike. Once we got the bike turned around at the recovery spot we loaded about a 100 lbs on the bike.The load ratio was two thirds on the front and the rest on the back of the bike. I was too scared to get on and take of so I just leaned on side and gave it some throttle once it took off I jumped on and away i went. Four trips later to the skid trail .We put the side car on loaded the meat and 3 friends on the bike and road two mile out the trail and strait onto the trailer. I still have the bike and it still runs great. It brings a smile to my face just thinking of all the adventures I have taken with my Trail breaker. Happy trails and remember you can kill yourself at one mile an hour !!!! Ridge Runner

    My 1989 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 4.3 made it 249K miles before the TBI began totally failing. I was going to rebuild, but it was too far gone. You see, the fuel pressure regulator had totally been destroyed by the debris from the driver's side valve cover breather, which throws debris into the rear of TBI via a vent tube and air cleaner adapter. The fuel pressure regulator spring had totally corroded and broke and the fuel pressure regulator housing was totally corroded. I tried rebuilding but to no avail. Replaced the TBI with a re-man and all is well. However, I did block off the inlet to the air cleaner adapter ring and added a valve cover oil breather to filter out the bad stuff rather than dumping it into the TBI. I don't think that the 5.7 engines had this configuration or issue. Whatever engineer thought that this 4.3 setup was a good idea... But I have to give credit to the TBI on this 4.3, because this old engine was still running great even with a faulty TBI. Both injectors on the faulty TBI were dripping and between that and the defective fuel pressure regulator dumping massive amounts of fuel into the engine, it was running very rich - but running.

    I agree with the comments that the bike is expensive. I’ve had mine for about 10 years now and it was pricey back then. I don’t regret it though. It is the most low stress way to ride single track there is. If you are not comfortable on a big bike or you don’t want to have to use speed to get over obstacles, this thing is the ticket. It also carries weight very well. If you’re just going out for a ride in the woods, a lot of bikes will get the job done but if you’re trying to transport weight or gear or supplies, this is just flat out easier. One thing I wish the company would do, though is to put out a detailed series of RUclips videos that cover all of the maintenance that you might encounter with the bike. Over the 10 years I’ve had it I have figured out a lot of the nuances, but it certainly would’ve been helpful to just call up the video on RUclips.

      Rokon is definitely tone down by speed from dirtbikes but overall it does the job an more I grewup in the 80s riding enduros 4 strokes 2 strokes I loved trail riding that's all we did . I loved hill climbs get up some speed an zing up the hill leaning over handlebars with a rooster tail flying.On the rokon it is cruising up the hill steady speed but nothing like a dirt bike to do it. The rokon be a 2 wheel drive as opposed to one back tire makes all the difference. Snow ahh lot of fun mud creeks logs crossing exc.. I love it you should test ride one at your nearest local dealer the scattered across US an outside of as well. Main website list all in the US.

    You've made a couple of errors. The drain plug for the transmission is on the bottom of the case. The one you've used as a drain is more of a level check. It's very clear in the Rokon manual. So, you didn't really drain the transmission, and then you added 6 oz of gear lube to it, so now your transmission is way too full. Since it had so much metal, run it for a few minutes (stir it up), then drain it again. Trailblazers usually have enough room to put a small drain cup under the transmission. However, the side plug doesn't work very well as a level check. Oil comes out at about 4.5 oz full. Put the plug back in and finish adding 6 oz. The next error isn't so obvious. The miter box should be removed to drain it, but the reason is more obscure, and not super well noted in the manual. It has to do with the driveshaft U-joints. When you pull the miter box, the furthest back U-joint yoke is supposed to slide off the shaft, like a crude slip joint. It needs to slide to compensate for change in effective length when steering. It isn't much, (1/8") and the "slip joint" can get quite stuck on the shaft. Pull the miter box and clean/grease that keyed shaft so it's easy to reassemble. Oh, and according to Rokon the bike is all SAE fasteners, not metric.
