What tires?
Please the name from pneus
Hallo, welche Reifen sind verbaut?
You mentioned you do tree work, I do as well, Have you tried running a stump grinder on it yet?
@zjhawson7921 I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping to get the chance soon!
Hey there! Love the video. I'm definitely looking to meet some new rokon friends. I am in western wa. 2017 preppers edition.
@t-bone8404 yeah man! I'm always ready to ride with fellow rokons! Hit me up if your ever in North Idaho 🤘
Oh to bbe young again...Good stuff!
It looks like you have a lot of air in the tires. Exactly what the Husky said, I was thinking, it looks like it is rough as hell ride. But I still want one.
I have a built Moto 212 (223cc stroker with 18-20hp) and I ride with my step cool video!son on his RM125. A built trail bike with front and rear suspension and built motor is surprisingly capable... and a ton of fun!
That sounds awesome!
Как часто слетает?
Thanks , new Rokon owner.
@johnkovitch550 Hey congrats! How are you liking it so far?
@@ThrottleWorks Very much so, I’ve been looking at them for 25 years, I finally got mine , mint condition 2018 Trailbreaker.
Put a cam in it, over sized piston, im sure there's options! And you gotta be able to gear it differently id think most motorcycles you can! These are definitely neat but not 10,000$ neat!
I'm thinking of getting one. Looks like fun!
I have this same landhero... do you have any info for the gas filter and pump you used? Looking to upgrade this as well but dont know much about how to hook everything up or what parts to use... i am also thinking of adding a remote battery terminal to make it easier to put it on a maintainer over the winter
@mikekiebel3527 yeah man, I used just an "off the shelf" large lawnmower filter and a 4-7psi edlebrock electric pump both from my local oreilly auto parts store 👍
Trails like that are so much easier on a small bike Something you can throw around and keep both feet planted on the ground.
Some cold cutters or some gold cutters studs will make that stick like a cat on carpet
My next investment here in Alaska for my cabin in the mountains I’m going to be posting my videos when I get one of hunting and doing some wild shit on them up here
@@tannerpotter2494 Heck yeah! I need to get out there one day!
Nice review
Great video theirs not nearly enough vids on rokon maintenance thanks a lot be cool to see you rebuild the carburetor when the time comes.
Thanks!
How big is the oil reservoir on your unit?
@@darth395 I think it's about 8 gallons
Hmmm... I really want to see a Rokon crawling through snow. I appreciate the discussion but it doesn't mean anything if I don't have a good idea of how well it works. I want to use it to set fatbike trails in the winter.

Hello, Rokon is cool. Rokon say's you can add fuel storage by filling your tires with fuel ? have you done this and what kind of pumping system is it.
@billjames3148 What they mean is the rims are hollow to allow you to fill them with fuel or water. Each wheel is capable of holding about 2.5 gallons. And it's not directly tied to the fuel system, you would have to carry a pump to transfer the fuel from the wheel into the fuel tank.
I bought the trail breaker with the side car new in 2004. the bike is a beast. Here is one example I once recovered an elk that was 200 yards off the side of a logging skid trail. It was so steep that two of us slid down the hill with both brakes fully locked on the bike. Once we got the bike turned around at the recovery spot we loaded about a 100 lbs on the bike. The load ratio was two thirds on the front and the rest on the back of the bike. I was too scared to get on and take of so I just leaned on side and gave it some throttle once it took off I jumped on and away i went. Four trips later to the skid trail .We put the side car on loaded the meat and 3 friends on the bike and road two mile out the trail and strait onto the trailer. I still have the bike and it still runs great. It brings a smile to my face just thinking of all the adventures I have taken with my Trail breaker. Happy trails and remember you can kill yourself at one mile an hour !!!! Ridge Runner
@terryhayward8024 Love it dude haha 🤘
The older Trailbreakers only have seat post suspension.
I'm considering purchasing one of these. How large of a bucket can be added to this?
@5FPS330 this one has a 40". I've seen guys running 48" and 50" buckets. So really I think whatever you want as long as you add some extra counter weights lol
My 1989 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 4.3 made it 249K miles before the TBI began totally failing. I was going to rebuild, but it was too far gone. You see, the fuel pressure regulator had totally been destroyed by the debris from the driver's side valve cover breather, which throws debris into the rear of TBI via a vent tube and air cleaner adapter. The fuel pressure regulator spring had totally corroded and broke and the fuel pressure regulator housing was totally corroded. I tried rebuilding but to no avail. Replaced the TBI with a re-man and all is well. However, I did block off the inlet to the air cleaner adapter ring and added a valve cover oil breather to filter out the bad stuff rather than dumping it into the TBI. I don't think that the 5.7 engines had this configuration or issue. Whatever engineer thought that this 4.3 setup was a good idea... But I have to give credit to the TBI on this 4.3, because this old engine was still running great even with a faulty TBI. Both injectors on the faulty TBI were dripping and between that and the defective fuel pressure regulator dumping massive amounts of fuel into the engine, it was running very rich - but running.
Been to Packsaddle years ago surveying that area. Your Rokon content is the best
@aaronwilcox6417 It's an awesome and terrible trail! Haha and Thanks! I appreciate it! 🙏
How is the fuel pump working for you? I guess if the carb float and needle are working properly, you can’t over fuel?
@codykday Yeah man it's been great, no issues with over fueling or anything else really. I did however get a bad pump that quit at 10ish hours but got it replaced under warranty and it's been good ever since.
I agree with the comments that the bike is expensive. I’ve had mine for about 10 years now and it was pricey back then. I don’t regret it though. It is the most low stress way to ride single track there is. If you are not comfortable on a big bike or you don’t want to have to use speed to get over obstacles, this thing is the ticket. It also carries weight very well. If you’re just going out for a ride in the woods, a lot of bikes will get the job done but if you’re trying to transport weight or gear or supplies, this is just flat out easier. One thing I wish the company would do, though is to put out a detailed series of RUclips videos that cover all of the maintenance that you might encounter with the bike. Over the 10 years I’ve had it I have figured out a lot of the nuances, but it certainly would’ve been helpful to just call up the video on RUclips.
What you need now is a big mud trap...LOL...ROCK-ON!!!
@user-gs8ri1xl6c That'll be version 2.0 lol
Tks for those videos,so much fun with that toy...you have to be careful to ride alone then...ROCK-ON!!!

Can you answer me this? I am considering buying one but I've never seen anyone answer my question, when you change gears, do you have to stop fully to switch gears or can you change gears on the fly?
@stevo5521 They say "you MUST be stopped to shift" and "It's not recommended to shift while moving" but i can say from experience, you are able to slow roll and shift but not at speed. The shift nob physically won't let you until you slow down.
Would love to see a video of this thing being put under load / working. Thanks for all the great info.
You need to flip the fan rotor. The blades are not going to work effectively running in reverse.
Great video and nice work on the enduro course. I've been considering buying a Rokon for a few years and it's great to see one in action. Not too many Rokon videos on RUclips, so thanks for posting and sharing your experiences.
@joepanza7980 Thank you for checking out the channel! Glad you are enjoying the content! 🤘 So much more to come!
Joe you should get one it's a workhorse in the woods a pack mule little maintenance every now an then but what's not I bought the ranger in 2022 I hunt off it exc drag deer I believe that it has a towing power rated to 1200 pounds light weight versatile an will go anywhere in places that others won't! I saw a RUclips video of a guy dragging a moose with it hopefully this year I will drag the bear out. Pretty incredible machine made sense the 60s American made!
@@oldjeb1918 well said 🤘
@@oldjeb1918Thanks for your perspective on the Rokon. I had a phone consult with one of their sales reps a couple of years ago, and he talked me out of it. He said that I may find it boring since I'm a trail rider. I'm at the point in my life where trails are what I love, but it's time to tone it down a bit. I'm selling a dirt bike, so the next purchase just may be a Rokon.
Rokon is definitely tone down by speed from dirtbikes but overall it does the job an more I grewup in the 80s riding enduros 4 strokes 2 strokes I loved trail riding that's all we did . I loved hill climbs get up some speed an zing up the hill leaning over handlebars with a rooster tail flying. On the rokon it is cruising up the hill steady speed but nothing like a dirt bike to do it. The rokon be a 2 wheel drive as opposed to one back tire makes all the difference. Snow ahh lot of fun mud creeks logs crossing exc.. I love it you should test ride one at your nearest local dealer the scattered across US an outside of as well. Main website list all in the US.
You've made a couple of errors. The drain plug for the transmission is on the bottom of the case. The one you've used as a drain is more of a level check. It's very clear in the Rokon manual. So, you didn't really drain the transmission, and then you added 6 oz of gear lube to it, so now your transmission is way too full. Since it had so much metal, run it for a few minutes (stir it up), then drain it again. Trailblazers usually have enough room to put a small drain cup under the transmission. However, the side plug doesn't work very well as a level check. Oil comes out at about 4.5 oz full. Put the plug back in and finish adding 6 oz. The next error isn't so obvious. The miter box should be removed to drain it, but the reason is more obscure, and not super well noted in the manual. It has to do with the driveshaft U-joints. When you pull the miter box, the furthest back U-joint yoke is supposed to slide off the shaft, like a crude slip joint. It needs to slide to compensate for change in effective length when steering. It isn't much, (1/8") and the "slip joint" can get quite stuck on the shaft. Pull the miter box and clean/grease that keyed shaft so it's easy to reassemble. Oh, and according to Rokon the bike is all SAE fasteners, not metric.
Any way to check the level in the miter box?
I would recommend the retro seat much more control with it being more narrow
Thanks for taking the time! Looks good.
