Car Repair: Overdue Oil Change on 2015 BMW X3 #automobile #maintenance #bmw
I almost never drive my wife's car. I hop in it one day and see the service reminder is 2700 miles overdue. I mention it and she says she keeps forgetting to call. I had ordered some accessories for her car and happened to add a filter to the order to get free shipping. Well, it ended up raining every weekend between that day and when I finally got to change the oil. So, 1700 miles later, I finally got a chance to change it.
Because it was so delayed, I'll probably change it again in another 5k miles. Other than that, I expect no long-term damage from this one time delay. However, putting off regular maintenance is ALWAYS bad for a car. Keep 'em running, folks!
