Drain Valve doesn't work.
Drain valves shouldn't be seen as a cheap alternative to fixing rats in your drainage system.
If there is a hole big enough for a rat to leave the system there is a hole big enough to allow human waste into your house.

Always tell my customers to survey. There are very few jobs where I would recommend a rat flap without being told to do so by the drain guy. There is of course one or two caveats but 9.5 times out of 10 survey.
Nice work as always!
Currently working through the level 2 qualification , is that now a waste of time?
Does bleach help there in my man hole, which is brick and climbed up into my toilet
Also learned this the hard way. The question is: Is there a similar spray product that does work?
Commensal 👍
"Tighter than a ducks arse in water." Alex I wish you would get straight to the point! 😂
This looks great Sean. 👍
That alley way is one of the cleanest you will come across in Boro aswell mate, the problem is Humans but its a shame for the ones the decent folk who live there
I bet every job you do is a challenge big respect to you 💯 👏
@@oliversinden9638 there all enjoyable
Really useful chat Sean, interested in checking out his courses if you could send me over a code. Nice one
Just a small tip lads, get down to business and start talking shop. Few people have the time to listen to anecdotal stories that are not at all interesting or entertaining. Could be a great podcast if condensed to a shorter format.

That’s my brilliant dad
Thanks mauncho. Your a great lad. 💪💪
Damn big hive,,where's the RAID ? 😅
Hi, I found you from your youtube channel. The videos you upload about your business and business are awesome and I really like your videos. But your channel subscribes and views are very less. Have you ever thought why your channel is not getting subscribed and views? Because there are some problems in your channel. Those problems need to be solved. Thank you Regards Rahela
Good show keep up the good work
If you have rats in the attic check your drains before anything. I had them in my loft and they had eaten though a drain cover. When that was replaced, no more rats.
One of the restrictions on the NBU opening up to others to manage for now is that currently it's important that each and every AH is DNA checked so that we know whether they have established an over-winter foothold. If all and sundry get to eradicate every AH they see, then we won't know the status of the invasion. Once there is an established UK population then it will be a different story. NBU however don't help themselves with their information suppression
I understand everything you say and agree 💯. My worry is that they'll leave when it is established and the problem will then explode.
The way that makes me feel physically ill🙃😫
It's pretty bad isn't it.
Get a mouse. They will eat everything
Haha good idea
@@killlinepestcontrol I’ve seen it. Or heard it. Bees were leaking into the house by the end of summer into fall. The mice got easily into their hives and cleaned it out before Christmas. First I heard the bees. Then I heard the mice. Then I heard nothing. Unfortunately it was a bedroom wall lol
With this job we went into the loft and cut an inspection hole further down the flue. Then put a drop board in place. Sometimes you can get below them from the chimney outside but not always.
How do you make sure nothing falls down the shaft?
Look, they've 1:23 even chewed his brake pipes. Rude!
I hadn't noticed that but I'm presuming that they didn't do that
Nice one Sean
Top job Sean. 👍
Thank you Neil
Yes apart from web hosting issues. Lol.
Sometimes it can be that simple. Very helpful to show clients, thanks.
Haha exactly. We do try. I trust all is well with you.
Nice detective work!
Keep trying don't we. Trust all is well young man.
A really good explanation and good work. You definitely should do more videos.👌
Thank you, I will

Proper job mate 👌
Hi guys, I sent a list in to BPCA of sites I was concerned about if baiting around buildings comes in. They published it in the last magazine. Wasn't happy with the reply from CRRU. Just sounded like it came from someone who has never got their boots dirty.
Would show us the reply to that?

John Sage a legend . Good podcast
I really enjoyed the episode. He's a very interesting man
Hey Sean, just watched this video. I think it's great that there are guys out there like yourselves. For us smaller companies ( 1 man band) do you think the drain camera is a worthy investment for simpler checks for maybe the fitting of guards rather than dangling things in the drain. Trying to improve with every job I do (we all start somewhere) but on my own there is no way I could do all that work 😂 I do feel a little disappointed when after 3 visits you just haven't got there.
Hi Sean do you know anyone in Essex regarding drain survey. Thanks
Quality content!
Hey man i caught two mice in my kitchen and i think they might of came from the back door, being left open to let my dog go toilet or in Ireland, you have a washing machine drain pipe, and a sink drain pipe at the back of house two separate drain pipes, run into a drain. Would it be a good idea to use a metal mesh wire and cover the bottoms of those two pipes just in case?
Mice don't tend to go into wet places. Plus those pipes vent into the sink etc so they aren't access points into the building
@@killlinepestcontrol Thanks for the advice man. I' think the mice are gone but was thinking could they be gone trap shy 🤔. If they go trap shy bar poisons what would be the options? I seen a bucket spin device that catches loads.
As a general rule mice don't tend to go trap shy. In some city centres they do show a behavioural resistance which makes them avoid traps. But they can be overcome
@@killlinepestcontrol That's good news Thanks man 👍
Those streets are horrendous! I had a conversation with the previous Mayor and he said that the budget they had wouldn't touch the problem so they just haven't bothered 😬
Nice to see thorough work being done, well done guys. I always mention the water systems to customers, many of whom think their resident rats are ninjas 😂
Great job Sean.... have a similar situation going on, but I leave drain work to the experts!!
Thank you Terry. We always try.
What's the video got to do with the title about cavity walls? Once in loft they can get into 'boxed in' soil vent pipe area. But that's not a cavity wall is it? There are loads of advertising for pest guys showing and talking about 'cavity walls'. In UK, both leaves of wall brick are built on foundation footings. In my case slab is 1950's solid slab with no underfloor at all. So how are the rats supposed to get to cavity? If there is no damage to drain pipe, rats must be knawing through felt at eves. Is this a recent thing, because no way to stop that without zinc sheet over whole roof like a grain store.
As a general rule they tend to get out of the drainage system in the ground floor. Once in there they will access the cavity where access goes through it for pipes. Then they head north into the loft. This job was not the normal as they went up the SVP and excited at the top. It's not normal but does happen.
proper job done there Sean. well done sir.
We try our hardest
thats freaking terrifying, keep up the good work
We've done a few this year
Very impressive, well done mate
It was great to see
Blow torce and sulphur candle.
🤣🤣
What is that and what did that do to them?
A colony was treated 3 yrs ago, we removed 2 year ago with clear evidence of white powder still inside with an extension of bees behind the treated entrance. We always fill the void after removing all comb, we have recently been asked to return to remove bees for free as they are back. Thanks to our video of the removal, you can clearly see the new bees are 9 feet away from where we previously removed and filled. Document your works to save call backs, this confirmation was done over the phone without having to return.
A customer of ours gets a 6-7 page report showing then what the problem is their options and expectations. Everything is clearly marked and set out. We haven't had reinfestation yet. But I'm sure we will. Customers need to understand what they're signing up to, for sure. Both parties should be protected.
