So are we testing for a machine and it works for a machine. What about what the stakeholder wanted placement shift or the new color on the button. How can we tell AI that? Sounds awesome but seems so easy. i.e I want the button shifted in Responsive web design…does one need to alter AI parameter or just trust it before I demo it? Great talk.

Although I did not agree with everything that the presenter said, I found this presentation sufficiently interesting that I listened to the whole thing. He touches on some of the same issues that I'm encountering as I do oversight of a testing contractor for large organization. The gap between the requirements that testers know about and the requirements that the developers were seeking to satisfy was a particular interest. Another problem, which I don't actually know how to solve yet, is that of impact analysis of changes by developers as it affects regression testing suites. Even if testers are aware of the change, how do they know which regression tests to run to test the possible effects of the change?

Did not like the presentation. Actually, I think it is a waste of time. What was shown here, is a very simplistic application of reinforcement learning and a video of a website under test that contains a single form (with fields called Numeric field 1..n 😆). None of the following issues were addressed: 1. Performance (I can't believe headless was mentioned as a solution for this problem. Headless will not make your application run significantly faster. There are still requests for the DB and similar that the test has to wait for). 2. Complexity of a real life project (many actions in a webapp are only available if you signed up a certain way or have permission for some resource or some actions require previous state) 3. Reporting (how do you report to management the findings of your test. How do you report it to the developers?) I am not discounting the topic as a whole, I am just saying, that the presentation will not be of much help.

Testing a software application to see how much the application is accepted or approved by the end users is called acceptance testing. It includes thousands of scenarios as various users may use the application in numerous ways or combinations. Waste of time. He spends all his time talking about why you should work to prevent bugs but not how. Its an hour long talk that sounds like this, Preventing bugs is better than finding bugs later.....
