Thanks for the video. I have created fine and coarse STL files that suggest that the number of triangles is much smaller than the file that is saved. For example, on the coarse setting, the model I have says it uses 746 triangles but when saved it uses 8302 triangles. The fine version is 1780 but is also saved as 8302 triangles. Why the difference?

I have the free 2023 Navisworks freedom downloaded and it does not have selection set "SAVE" feature. Is this because this feature is not free and I would have to buy another version to get this feature?

If your sketch is moved outside the cylinder like in example 1. But the length of the line matches the circumference of the cylinder will it project full round?

Nicely done video, except it is completely missing your design parameters, i.e. where does your PCD etc dimensions come from? Why one dimension is 1.96 in this case? Is it exactly 1.96 or are you rounding a dimension, which might become crucial when making larger gears?

Great tutorial! thanks for sharing your knowledge! But how do you calculate the parameters for the different size of gears? I would like to use this gear as my standard for 3D printing, but would like to know how to calculate different sizes (5, 10, 20 ,30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 Teeth). I've tried in Excel by expanding the list myself, but end up with gears that don't add up.

What's the command when I want to project a circle onto a plane that's at an angle to the circle so it is a circle on the plane, not an ellipse? Project gives an ellipse, Translate doesn't wrap it around.

How would you do it if your object was circular? Also, if I wanted to create designs, how would I do that so I have the etching texture?
