I appreciate the sentiment, but this is just temporary. The ban isn't just for TikTokk, the ban encompases apps that are all/majority owned by Chinese Government interests. Xiaohongshu is exactly like TikTok in that regard. It is specifically made for the Chinese middle-class and wealthier. Also, American content is heavily censored/blacklisted for Chinese viewers. The only reason this has even been possible because TikTok was a derivative of Douyin (Chinese TikTok) that seperated interaction between Chinese citizens and Americans. China didn't need to censor Americans from Xiaohongshu (Rednote) because there was no need, since they were all on TikTok. Now that you are all leaving and going to Xiaohongshu, it is going to be restricted access. China does not want American ideas. There are already banning US users becuse of their views and politics.
