I created this channel to record the progression of my passion - rc-heli flying
Steam AK700 | back to original mikado gimbals :(
guys… this is by far not my best flight… I was forced to switch back from the AG01 gimbals to the stock mikado gimbals. I made the failure to put in the radiomaster springs which are waay to soft. I‘m not feeling comfortable with the gimbals at the moment. this is also reflecting in my flying. I have to switch the springs back to stock and really take my time to get used to the sanwa gimbals again.
but so far my new Steam Ak700 seems to be really solid. I like this thing. Yes the gear noise is not as good as on the specter but i can live with that.
In this video I‘m also had to switch back to yge gov because my rpm/telemetry cable is broken, so I can’t use vbar gov at the moment.

this evening i captured a quick low rpm flight without the canopy @2000RPM. i thought I share the flight because it looks pretty flowing and it‘s from another angle at my flying field. at the moment I really like flying the M4 👌🤩 I can‘t go lower with the headspeed because I‘m already running only 45% throttle. I sold my crashed Piuma and put the setup in my new Nimbus 550. I‘ll strech it soon but before that I wanted to try it as a 550. This was the actual 9th flight with that heli. I messed up the gear mesh a little bit so it screams like hell. Pretty cool little helicopter! the last 2 days I had fun with my good old Protos 380 Evo V1.. Schöner Flug. Wofür ist die Explore Swashplate?
Hey Danke Dir. Wollte die Geometrie etwas linearer und weniger agressiv machen. Mit der EXP Taumelscheibe+Kopfanlenkung fliegt er sich aber sehr träge. Mit nur der EXP TS habe ich für mich einen guten Mittelweg gefunden

Thank you! 🤩 I Really like the AK700. Very rigid and locked in the air. Very strong tail. A bit heavier than the specter v2. But with RT 700 Ultimates it‘s flying beautiful. The shape of the canopy looks a little strange and it‘s very tight to fit the lipo cables under the canopy so I had to install the lipo reverse. have a nice day ✌️

Fliege jetzt seit vier Monaten. Drei Monate davon nur fp Heli in der 120 Klasse von Blade . Seit einem Monat fliege ich auch meinen kleinen cp Heli den M1 evo von OMP ist glaube ich 100 Klasse der Kleine. Schönen Sonntag noch 👍😎👍
schön dass du dieses tolle hobby für dich entdeckt hast! als nächsten step würde ich dir zu einem Protos 380 / Omp M4 oder Steam 420 raten. Fliegt deutlich erwachsener und „träger“ als ein OMP M1. Viel spaß noch und auch schönen Sonntag 😎

hey bro 🙌 I really like the steam 👍 flies just as good as the specter for me (but a little bit different). I directly installed all available reinforcement parts and the battery protection. i can recommend the ak700 - so good for the price. It‘s about 150-200grams heavier than the specter but that‘s okay. cheers mate

Nice low RPM smack! I wonder if stretch makes a heli much more vulnerable in a crash, or not much? Also, you probably remember me, i was bugging you with questions if i should go with 380mm or 470mm as my first big heli. So i thought i should mention that to you :) i went with that T-Rex 500X with 470mm blades! Maaan, jumping from 120mm right to 470mm was a huge shock! That air tremble sound from 1 meter disc flying near, fast responce to the stick movements, unrealistically fast piroutte considering the machine's size, all that was something lol. Everything was much much stronger than how it looks in the videos. After first flight i went home happy that i didn't crash it but also i was super shocked and didn't want to fly that thing again for few days lol, that's how scary it was haha. Few times i was thinking that i had to go with smaller heli.. but well, now i'm getting used to this 470mm heli and already can fly around normally and enjoying it :) of course still a lot to learn. If you ever will be curious to see my ridiculous reactions to the first flight, you can find that video in my channel :) the title is 'Flying my big heli for the first time! T-Rex 500X.', also, warning, heavy speech accent :D

Super Video, schöner Heli - ich fliege den auch mit dem gleichen Regler. Liegst du immer so in dem Strombereich wie angezeigt beim EVO ? Meiner hat heute den YGE zum Abschalten gebracht, bei einem normalen Lopping mit 2500 rpm - 127,8 Ampere. Sonst liegen meine Flüge im Bereich 20-80 Ampere.....Vermute Fehler im Motor....
@@jensbautsch5467 Hi Jens, danke dir 🙏 mit welchem stabi und mit welchem GOV fliegst du den M4? Den YGE bringt man eigentlich nicht zum „abschalten“. Ich hatte das gleiche Problem aber auch und kenne evtl die Lösung. Und ja ich liege immer so zwischen 40 und 75A…

@jensbautsch5467 Stell mal die Drehzahlregler-Empfindlichkeit auf 10 runter in der Vbar, dann sollte das Problem Geschichte sein. Hatte das gleiche Problem. Ich war bei der Empfindlichkeit auf 20 oder 24. Die Direct Drive Motoren führen bei zu hoher Reglerempfindlichkeit zu SyncLost Problemen und verursachen damit Absteller. Mein M4 ist 5x ins Gras geplumst bis ich durch den YGE Support auf den Fehler gekommen bin.

Nice flight. Would be great to get a bit of right rudder in there as well rather than only left. It would definitely make the flight look even more skilled.
@@rcheliperformance hey buddy, thank you. I‘m already practicing right rudder piroflips and some other right rudder stuff :) it will come in the near future but I really want to have it dialed in pretty good before flying it in a video.

Beautiful flight! I really enjoy flying my 380 helis at 2000-2200 (TB40 and Oxy 4 Max). It's relaxing, and they are so quiet. And of course it teaches good collective management. :)

Es ist wirklich eine Augenweide, dir beim Fliegen zuzusehen! So viel Kontrolle und Vertrauen, wieder diese tollen liessenden Uebergange! Klasse. Du musst ein sehr gutes Collective Pitch Management haben, denn wenn ich meinen M4 fliege, brauche ich deutlich hoere RPM und trotzdem "wuerge" ich die Drehzahl in vielen Flugsitiationsn viel mehr runter. Klasse!! Beste Gruesse aus Polen!
Danke nochmals 😁👌 das mit dem Pitchmanagement kann naturgemäß wirklich sein… ich fliege den m4 bei der Drehzahl auch mit ca 15° pitch und die MS Rapid 380 ziehen auch gut strom/leistung. Aber ich glaube mit vielen Flugstunden kommt bei dir auch noch feineres pitchmanagement :-)
