The "making of" my lunchbag. WOW! I know, it sounds amazingly thrilling. :-) The blocks were woven on weavette looms using Sugar and Cream yarn, then sewn together. The handle was spool knitted from the same yarn.

The looms in the museum at Boott Mill in Lowell, MA. www.nps.gov/lowe While only a few of the many looms were running, the noise in the room was deafening, so I lowered the sound and added a classical music piece as a soundtrack. The museum does offer earplugs. :-) At one point near the end, the second time I show the blue cloth being woven, there is a white thread marker that the "mill girl" a...

In what country is there and how much
The video is of a loom at a museum in the US. I am not affiliated with the museum. I went to the museum around twelve years ago and took videos on my camera because I was into weaving at the time. I have no idea how much a loom of that type costs. You can probably look up "looms for sale" on the internet to get more information.
I am weaver boy need the job in boott lowell how will be help my
I'm not affiliated with the museum. I just took a video of the looms when I toured the museum about 11 years ago.
The jittery shooting makes me nausious....

shame about the music, i'd rather listen to the looms...but then again, i am a weaver ;-)
so am i, though not on a loom like that. :-)
Hello Laura, hope you are doing well. I am producing a video about Lowell History in Spanish. I would like to include some peaces of your video in our show, and we will provide the credits at the end. Of course, we are not using the music. Please let me know if that is Ok and we can have your permission in writing. Best, Nancy RUclips: Colores Latinos TV
Did you hurt yourself ???
That's some serious electronic hash, something must have been putting out lots of EMF. But you were just over the hill from a most unusual road where cars coast up hill. Look in my videos for Magnetic Mountain. Thanks for the sub, I returned the favor. Jim
Memorys first thing I learned was (I think it was 20 ends) So why fool with 10 or so ends so I would rip a few more, anything over 20 ends you put the red light on and the smash piercer would fix my little smash.
The music is basicly from the Album "The Moldau" from the composer B. Smetana...
I'd rather hear the looms running. I like the music but being a 3rd generation weaver the sound of the looms are wonderful.
When a warp end breaks they were stopped by electrical drop wires, some of the older ones were mechanical sawbars that stopped the loom if a end Warp yarn ) would break..
whar is this song?
So, what method did you use to attach all the pieces together? That is where my 'waterloo' is. kkd
Hi! I believe the people at the NHP did say the looms would stop if a warp end broke. I was guessing they were electric, but I didn't think to ask. I should probably add a link to the Lowell NHP website - they might have answers there. I'll go do that...
Thank you! And thank goodness for babelfish! :-)
Super cute!
they are adorable... i so wish i could have a peacock... but alas not in nyc
